DAVE AND HIS CREW. Dave of NLT Construction is that rare contractor who follows through on everything he promises, who can always be reached by phone or text, who responds immediately, and who is a pleasure to deal with. If he tells you he’ll show up at a given time, he’s five minutes early. Everyone on his team -- crew and subcontractors -- were personable and professional. THE JOB. This was no small job. Our deck was destroyed by a massive tree, requiring its complete demolition, the installation of 16 new code-compliant concrete footers, and the building of a new 2-section deck measuring 27’ x 16’ and 21’ x 20’. Duplicating our old design, the new deck had a grand 12-step staircase leading down to a pool, together with two additional staircases. Beneath the deck, Dave built an 18’ x 6’ shed with two wide 6-panel double doors to replace what had been sliding barn doors. He also did repair work on our wooden fence. THE CONTRACT. Dave ultimately presented us with a cost-plus contract which our insurance company readily accepted. His price was well below the insurance estimate. On the largest item (deck materials and wood), we paid the lumber company directly. We also paid Dave’s subcontractors directly. On everything else (small as-need items) Dave presented receipts each week for reimbursement. Dave’s overhead and fee was a totally separate contract item. The contract was therefore 100% transparent, with no markups, and no surprises. In fact, Dave came in under his estimate. THE SCHEDULE AND PRODUCT. Dave finished the projected 6-week job in 4 ½ weeks. He also recommended that he do additional work, at no cost, on a few items that he correctly indicated would improve the final result. The deck itself: sturdy, beautiful, delivered ahead of schedule, and everything we hoped it would be.

Dave and his team at NLT hit it out of the park.. again! We hired Dave Cedrone with NLT to redo our kitchen and first floor - down to the studs and back again. Because that project was so successful, we hired Dave again for our front porch addition. We originally had a concrete pad as a front porch and our packages and friends would get soaked in the rain and our doors and windows would bake in the sun to the point of damage. We wanted to get a covered porch the entire length of our home (40 feet), minding the existing windows, door, and roof lines. Dave recommended the absolute best in subcontractor labor (concrete and stone installer), with referrals. To say we were blown away by his recommended sub is an understatement. Dave knows the best in the business. Dave's team (especially Rodolfo!) worked on the roof and structure of the porch and everything was perfect, down to the last nail. When the column wrap kit had cheap finishings, Dave installed his own. Nothing was going to look sub-par. Dave was always very responsive - with a quick email or call returned and would come out to the site often to chat with us and see the progress. We'll hire him again and again.

Recently we had NLT Construction remodel our bathroom. NLT had remodeled it 17 years ago, but we wanted a fresh look and feel. They have done numerous jobs on our house over the past 25+ years. They have placed a basement bathroom, a remodeled kitchen, an outside deck, and finished our attic. There are a few reasons why we have consistently come back to them to do our house projects. They do excellent design work, not overlooking the details. They are consistent in scheduling. When they give a start date, you can take it to the bank. The workers, most who have been with the company many years, show up at the arranged time in the morning and work a full day. They are knowledgeable, courteous and above all honest. I feel perfectly safe leaving them alone in the house. The contractors, electricians, plumbers, etc., have also been with NLT many years and like the above workers are thoroughly dependable. Lastly, I have trust in the estimate and the contractual agreement that it will be finished exactly as stated. I know I needn’t mentioned honesty, integrity and trustworthiness, but they are all there. Dave Cedrone, one of the owners has been with the company since it’s inception. He will tell you that they are not the cheapest nor are they the most expensive, but in my opinion, they are the best.

Dave, his crew and NLT construction are great. We had them redo our kitchen and bathrooms at our old house. When we moved we needed our basement finished. NLT construction did a great job. They were on time, do great work and answered our million questions. We have referred many of our friends to NLT Construction because they always deliver.

We came to NLT Construction from a personal recommendation and the positive reviews of a long-standing business. A partial upgrade to our main bathroom was in order before we took on a full kitchen renovation. Dave Cedrone fully explained the steps involved and expectations between him, his crew, and ourselves upon entering into a contract. The project would be a good start with an untried contractor as it wouldn’t be as involved as the kitchen, with completion in two weeks’ time. We contracted Dave and the same crew a few months later for a full gut kitchen renovation with a revised layout and new windows. I was surprised to hear this more involved job would be completed in three weeks’ time. Sure enough, 21 days from the start date, I was enjoying a fully cooked at home meal instead of takeout. For both projects, as our home is 140yrs old, unlevel, not plumb or square, any potential influences were fully discussed and thought out beforehand. Dave does a fantastic job managing and scheduling all necessary trades involved in the renovations to keep to the quoted timeline. Communication is always prompt. The crew is fully capable and skilled. They have a full day work ethic, take pride in their exactness and believe in correct construction practices. All trades involved have well established relationships with NLT Construction. We were very pleased with the overall experiences and would not hesitate to work with everyone involved on another project or repair.

My family and I have spent the last 2 years focusing on making our house a place we can truly call home. NLT helped us add an additional 700 square feet which included a master bedroom, huge master bath, walk-in closet, 2 additional linen closets, mud room, laundry room and garage. The craftsmanship of all the work is an artistry that is hard to find anywhere. The attention to detail on every level is phenomenal. They embrace all aspects of creativity and help to bring life to fun ideas. We hired the team again to build the loft idea I had for my son’s “little man cave.” It does not disappoint. The work completed is beautiful and my son and I spend hours in the loft, reading and playing building memories that will last a lifetime.

We hired Dave and NLT Construction in July of 2021 to remodel two bathrooms and the entire basement in our home. We were happily surprised that they were able to begin their work earlier than promised in October 2021. The remodeling work was finished on time and exactly on budget, and their work was excellent. Dave was absolutely wonderful, so thorough, so helpful, and incredibly responsive. He was fantastic to work with, as was his entire crew. Since we've met and worked with Dave and NLT, we won't ever have to work with any other general contractor ever again for work in our home. I have, and will continue to, recommend Dave & NLT to anyone who has home construction projects. They are the BEST!

NLT added a 13'x14' room off of our existing kitchen. We received quotes from several general contractors and sunroom companies, but Dave was able to offer a more thorough variety of services and made me feel confident that we'd end up with a sunroom that really felt like part of the house. The whole NLT team was exceptional to work with and I'm so pleased with the beautiful space we've been able to add to our home. Dave was always responsive and on top of things, making for a surprisingly smooth experience despite the unpleasant surprises that tend to pop up in a construction project of this size. Dave's team was professional and easy to work with, as were the subcontractors. Danny did a great job with the foundation work despite our property being particularly challenging to navigate. Pricing was transparent and reasonable. I would hire them again in a heartbeat and hope to have the opportunity to do so in the future as we slowly remodel our 1960s house.

My kitchen project is my second home improvement project with NLT Construction. After shopping around with numerous kitchen renovation companies and not being satisfied with their vision of my dream kitchen, I engaged Dave because I was confident NLT Construction could deliver my kitchen concept. Dave’s employees and contractors were highly professional and skilled in every aspect of the job, making for an enjoyable experience. Dave kept me abreast of all issues and recommended suggestions to enhance the kitchen’s aesthetics. During the renovation, there was minimal dust, and the team cleaned after every workday. At the start of the project, I recall Dave saying, “I want to make you happy.” I can honestly say Dave and his team delivered on that promise.

We have used NLT Construction for all of our home improvement needs for the past 17 years. NLT Construction was fantastic. We did a major renovation on our master bathroom, new vanity in our hall bathroom and new countertop and backsplash in our kitchen. Dave Cedrone was wonderful to work with. He is so meticulous. He helped us design the renovation, drew the plans, gave us a shopping list, and recommended the vendors to use. This made our decision making so easy. Once we placed our orders, Dave got back to us to. make sure we got what we needed. To our excitement, our project was able to start ahead of schedule. Dave's crew was fantastic. They were courteous, always on time, and so professional. We could tell that they loved what they did and were just as meticulous as Dave. They always cleaned up before they left for the day. The plumber, electrician and painter that Dave recommended also were fantastic. Last fall we used NLT Construction for the second time. The first time was to redo the exterior of our home. The second time was to completely gut and remodel our basement. Dave Cedrone, the owner, worked with us on every detail, which included creating a 6 foot wide window though the concrete. Dave is very responsive, and his crew does excellent work. Dave was frequently onsite, and he coordinated and supervised the work of all the subcontractors (the carpenters work only for NLT, and they are excellent). He is a perfectionist, and it shows in all the details of the work done. We love the way the basement looks, and we are currently scheduled to have NLT remodel the upstairs of our house [the kitchen cabinets have a very long lead time]. NLT is not the cheapest company around, but if you want the highest quality work, a responsive contractor, attention to detail, and a job that starts and finishes when Dave says it will, I highly recommend NLT.

Dave and his crews constructed a beautiful porch (deck and overhanging roof) for us. It was a complicated project since the deck is substantially elevated and the roof needed to tie nicely into an existing bump-out. Throughout the project, Dave made sure the porch was realizing our vision. He listened closely, offered design suggestions, and provided crystal clear drawings of the new construction. He was incredibly detail oriented, offered suggestions to keep the project budget in check, and helped us deal with a few product shortages. Dave was in touch constantly and kept the project moving quickly. He quickly remedied the one small imperfection that I noticed and delivered a truly stunning backyard space that exceeded my expectations. Would definitely recommend.

I can give this company my highest recommendation without reservation. You will deal directly with the owner, Dave, through the whole process from estimate, to design to build. He is on time every time, very available and responsive, very professional and a pleasure to work with. He is willing to consider the client's insights and suggestions. The quality of the work is also of the highest caliber. The work crew is professional, respectful and highly skilled. The owner visited the job site every day and addressed any concerns. Do plan well ahead if you want to use this company as they are booked months in advance. But that's because they are that good. NLT is, unfortunately, all too rare in the construction business. it is difficult to find honest, reliable companies these days. It was a lucky day when I discovered Dave and NLT and decided to use them for my project. Do yourself a favor and consider them for your next project.

The NLT professionals not only renovated a shower, old flooring and fixtures, but also removed and replaced floor and ceiling materials that they discovered were damaged by a water leak. At every step of the way design considerations, costs and repair options were discussed. I would use the services of NLT again.

NLT Construction did a complete remodel of the main bathroom in our 1940 colonial. Dave was super responsive and explained everything in detail so that we could understand each step of the process (a lot of old pipes and original flooring and tub had to be removed, so it was a big job). We have used a few contractors in the past and can say without hesitation that Dave, Rodolfo, and team are worth the extra money. The attention to detail is excellent, and we were thrilled with not only the beautiful final result but also the professionalism, level of communication, and responsiveness. We will definitely use NLT again!

This is the third time we've had NLT do remodeling work for us, and once again we are extremely happy with the results. We had 2 major additions previously, and this time we had a bathroom remodeled. Dave is very easy to work with and was responsive at every step along the way to make sure we knew what was going on. During the pandemic, it was especially important to have people we trusted in our home; the NLT team definitely meets that high bar and we were always comfortable with them. At this point we've pretty much run out of things to remodel, but we would absolutely recommend NLT for remodeling and additions.

My 3rd major reno with Dave Cedrone went just as smoothly and professionally as the first two. My primary reasons for re-hiring Dave are : ---He responds quickly to calls, texts or emails. ---He has a perfect sense of how long the job will take. He has been correct, to the day 3 out of 3 times. If he says 6 weeks to complete the job, it’s 6 weeks. Everyone shows up on time everyday. ---I have peace of mind that the job will be done right and that all the details are taken care of by anyone who works on the job. Dave follows through. ---He solves logistical issues with intelligence, presenting options. I tell Dave how I want the space to work and he tells me how we can do it. In the master, we gutted ALL down to studs, ceiling beams and concrete slab. Installed all new wiring and electric, quality insulation, HVAC system, flooring (hardwood and tile), windows, drywall, and plumbing. Installed custom built-in, floor to ceiling cabinets on 2 full 12 foot wide walls, recessed floating nightstands and an alcove of drawers and compartments for additional storage. Created a laundry room in what had been a walk in closet. In the basement, we gutted the walls to the cinderblock and the floor to the concrete slab. New wiring, lighting and receptacles were added to make the space more functional. Installed insulation, drywall, bookshelves and carpeting. Dave’s crew is great! They are excellent at what they do and also kind, patient and show attention to detail. I have worked with the same team members 2 or 3 times. They keep me informed and I have a sense of trust that in the end I will have exactly what I wanted.

Dave is so easy to work with, I now consider him a good friend. I look back at it all to my initial sketches for a garage addition to house my classic car and I even constructed a scale model. Dave skillfully translated my sketches into highly precise plans. I am absolutely delighted how it all came together. It exceeded all my expectations. The sub-contractors were all experts and had pride in their work. Danny did an excellent job with the foundation and the concrete slab. It was 12 x 37 with a perfect surface. Dave's carpenter crew displayed an enviable level of craftsmanship. They really know what they are doing. I could see they also obviously enjoyed their work and went above and beyond to accommodate any of my suggestions/requests, while offering their own clever improvements. The estimates given for all sub-contractors were well within the final costs, and overall, even though lumber prices had doubled, did not exceed the total estimate. I could not be more delighted with the result. I strongly recommend Dave Cedrone, his crew, and NLT. I would hire them again in heartbeat.

This was our second big project with NLT Construction, and it will not be our last. We live in a small-ish house in Towson MD and needed a kitchen remodel that would give us the best use of space possible without building additions. Dave's design worked out perfectly - moved our dining room wall over, removed most of the wall, and built a beautiful archway as a transition between the rooms. And our new cabinets utilize every inch of available space. He and his team are responsive, professional, and surprisingly affordable for the quality of workmanship. My husband is VERY particular about construction, carpentry and finish work, and he refuses to work with any other contractor. Many of our friends have commented on how beautiful it turned out and asked for the number for our contractor.

Great! I cannot say enouh good things about this company, particularly Dave Cedrone, the contractor I worked with. The only delays were pandemic-related (unusually long delivery times on appliances) and delays requested on my part for reasons having nothing to do with NLT. Once the job was scheduled, it proceeded smoothly and on time. Dave is thoroughly professional, easy to communicate with, extremely knowledgeable, and helped me through the entire process, including dealing with suppliers. I knew absolutely nothing about remodeling, and Dave answered innumerable questions from me and was always responsive to my concerns. With Dave's expertise and my ideas, he and I collaborated on a plan for the kitchen and when it was done, it looked exactly as I wanted it to look.

Dave was able to sneak our small job in a month ahead of schedule and the work was completed on time. The workers were respectful and did a great job. The coat closet and pantry were built according to plan and look great.
