+ -1 moreJohn signed the contract on November 9th and said that he and his partner, Lonnie, would do all the work. The work remains partially done in all areas. The retaining wall is half built and cannot be uncovered because it will be damaged by rain. The front stoop was done incorrectly. They were supposed to put a stone facade on the side which they haven't done and cannot do without tearing out part of the new masonry since they forgot to plan for it. His partner, Lonnie never read the contract and was always surprised when I told him that he had forgotten to do part of the job. They never did any of the replacement bricks on the house. They have left debris all around the yard and their pile of cement, tools and sand is in the middle of my driveway blocking access to the garage. Despite numerous calls and a very detailed letter they have not come back to finish the job. It is now April 5th. I now have to hire other workers and will have to take legal action.
Description of Work: John signed a contract to replace the stone on top of the front and side steps, and to repair a small brick retaining wall leading to our basement. They were to replace individual bad bricks around the house. They were also to fix the drainage next to the retaining wall where the water had damaged the old retaining wall. They were supposed to provide all materials and they estimated that the job would take about a week.
