DCI Landscaping

Dave and his crew did an amazing job. Very professional, yet friendly and helpful with questions. Price was very fair. We've received several comments from friends and neighbors about how great our front garden looks. We are extremely pleased with the work and would highly recommend DCI for any landscaping needs.

Not only does Dave do great work, but he also looks out for your beat interest. Several days after my project was complete, I needed some spare brick that got taken out for another project and Dave went and tracked them down for me. His pricing is fair, his work is great and he did me a solid even after the project was over. Would highly recommend!

At first it was great. We had water sitting right by the door and the pavers never dried out after the rain. The landing was never sealed by the door so it ran under the wood floor which buckled. I have an email chain showing I have contacted Dave almost yearly with multiple problems. Now the landing is sinking and the steps are pulling away from the landing. I had 2 contractors come out to look at it. It will cost 11K to fix both issues. They 2 contractors said I should contact Dave. I did. He scheduled 4 times and cancelled each one. Then he ignored my emails. I have a copy of all emails to include his response. All I asked was to have this fixed. I shouldn't have the pay a second time because he did such a terrible job. If your are getting a walkway done, he can handle that. If it includes steps with a landing, then find someone else. I have been dealing with this issues since May of 2014.

Dave and his team are a pleasure to work with. Dave answered all my questions and provided me with all the information and instructions I needed to get a Fabulous lawn. Very happy with the quality of work.

Dave's was the highest estimate: we are delighted with his work. They installed 7 French drains (maybe more) and I no longer need to wear a life jacket to get the mail.

Dave and team were great. They showed up on time and completed the project in one day. Their work exceeded our expectations. It has rained several times since the work was completed and we are very happy with the results.

Dave's team is great. Good price and his team does a great job and are quick. They are there when promised and any issues I've had Dave took care of without question. I would hire them again when needed.

Beware! This contractor is NOT an “A” contractor. Work was satisfactorily done initially. However, Dave needed to come back to cap off a drain & fix dirt. I reached out to him for over a week via email, text, phone to no response. Finally received a text after a week saying a 20 year employee told him he completed my job & then quit. Dave literally texted me that “he thought I was crazy.” He still didn’t come until I guess a week later when I wasn’t home to complete job. His MHIC# is invalid/inactive as I checked on website with Department of Labor & will be filing a complaint. Would never refer to contractor nor use again.

From the beginning of this project when I started contacting companies to provide quotes for this project, Dave was the first person to respond and gave us a great experience throughout the entire project. He was responsive to any questions we had (even the day of the work when we had a few questions, he took the time to talk to us and put us at ease). Both he and the other guy working on the project that day were on time, kept the work site clean and did an amazing job. Looking forward to contracting DCI in the spring for more work at our home.

Great. Dave Irwin clearly loves his work. He's knowledgeable, reasonable easy to work with. Our property has some challenging drainage management issues that DCI has tackled and we are very happy with the result.

This is a follow-up to my review of 09/28/2017 that rated DCI Landscaping an "F" for communications. Mr. Clark did get back to us & let us know that he had sufficient work in his home area & traveling back down to Laurel was a bit much. That I understood. We delayed our hardscaping project to this year with another contractor. In the development of our new plans, I could not find the paperwork from the original project, so I emailed Mr. Clark to get make & color details for some of the pavers. He responded within a reasonable period of time. I eventually emailed him twice more & he promptly responded with the requested information. So this time, he gets an "A" for communications. This also represents the effectiveness of Angie's List to rate, review & get the attention of contractors.

I know he is very busy. He told us several months ago that he couldn't get to us till later in summer. We would like him to do the work for us, but he has not returned recent email or phone inquiries. This is very disappointing.

Excellent. After we discussed the design and agreed on the materials to be used, he started work right away and completed the project in less than a week. It looks wonderful. He kept the worksite cleaned-up and took care to preserve surrounding grass. He also relocated some of the plantings that he had put in during the fall. Great job.

DCI was responsive and arrived for the estimate promptly. David was courteous emailed back an estimate quickly. All of the work was completed in 1 day. I am very happy with the quality of the work and my experience with DCI Landscaping.

We're currently using them. It's going wonderful. They're at my house right now. They are leaving the area clean.

Several workers and the owner spent a full 8 hour day completing the projects which all turned out nicely. This is the second time I have used DCI, and I have been very happy with their prices and work both times. I will definitely use them again in the future.

Excellent! Very pleased with Dave's response to my initial phone call & first appointment. I sent numerous emails with many suggestions & questions prior to signing the proposal. I always received a timely response to all. He is a pleasure to work with & he is very knowledgeable.

They were amazing. The overall customer service and quick turnaround. Also the affordability.

In general, the work was well-done and his drainage solutions have worked. We are pleased with the beds he created. While he was working with us, he was responsive and worked well through some challenging times. However, despite his request to call him if we ever had any lighting problems, several attempts to contact Dave were fruitless. At first, he kept promising to come out but either put off the appointment or just didn't show. In the end, he stopped answering my emails completely. I hired an electrical contractor to do the work in the end, but would have appreciated the courtesy of a call to tell me he didn't have time, as I assume that was the case.

Great. This work was actually done over a year ago, and we have survived torrential downpours since then , without a drop getting into the house. The work was done by hand by an excellent crew, not with heavy machinery. Would recommend highly.

Mr Irwin walked around our house and suggested then implemented various solutions, including building up ground near foundation so that the slope was away from house, placing a French drain with multiple sites of inflow, building a retaining wall, etc. He followed through nicely and the whole project was reasonable in cost. We had been concerned that heavy equipment did not have good access here due to sloping and trees, but the entire project was done by hand, by his experienced team. Would recommend highly. Note that he is generally very busy and it might take several calls and some persistence to reach him.

David and his team are so professional and responsive. Work was done quickly and to beyond our satisfaction. Price was very reasonable. Highly recommend!

It did not go. David never showed up for the estimate, and did not return calls, so I did not use this company for my project

DCI was a pleasure to work with, from start to finish. From the beginning, determining a design for the patio, Dave was creative, yet practical in configuring for a tricky elevation with challenges. We couldn't be more pleased with the outcome. He was always quick to respond to email or phone messages. His crew is punctual, professional, and skilled, and they cleaned up daily. At the end of the job, they made sure we were?100% happy before they would leave.? DCI goes above and beyond, at a fair and reasonable price.??Our new patio?is?a showplace, and the talk of the neighborhood.? We would highly recommend DCI?for hardscaping and landscaping needs.

This job was not done. Had set up an appt. for an estimate. The night before Dave Irwin called and stated that he was sick and was unsure if he would be able to come out the next day. He did not call the next morning. He never called back at all.
