Overall the customer service provided by this company would make me want to utilize them again and again. I cannot stress enough how impressed I was by Steve's friendly service when following up on my initial request for a quote and scheduling. Shane was the estimator who came to my home to provide a quote. His friendly and outgoing personality was infectious. His work ethic was amazing and it showed! True to their word, when I called to cancel my pending contract, I was treated with the same courteous service. I let Steve know that my cancellation had nothing to do with having a negative experience with their company and I look forward to working with them again in the future. In the meantime, I haven't gotten a fence installed as yet: I thought it was only fair to still write about the great customer service I received!

They got it done in a single day, which impressed me.

Freedom Fence was very responsive from my first call to the completion of the job. They removed my old chain link fence and installed the new six foot privacy fence in the same day (typical Baltimore city backyard). They left the area clean and carted away all debris.

They arrived on time They worked dillgently They did not clean up to my satisfaction (but it was minor). They left some concrete mess around the yard. They asked for my input when needed. They worked with me to resolve a small issue with how the fence was positioned on a slope. The quality of the fence was excellent. The quality of the installation left me questioning how much/how deep they inserted the main posts, since they have some "play" when rocked by hand. But, not enough to warrant complaining Steve was great to work with. They were the most competetively priced I am still waiting for them to fix my neighbor's fence, as contracted, but we have not paid for it yet. Still waiiting to find the right posts for an older fence repair.

Freedom Fence owners Steve and Shane got right back to me after my initial call for an estimate. Shane came out within a few days to scope the job and give an estimate, at my convenience and on a weekend. I had two other quotes and Shane's quote came in under the other serious quote by $1500 and included additional features the competitors wouldn't price like the deck steps and latching deck gate for my dogs. Shane had told us it would be around 3 to 5 weeks to have the fence installed with their current workload, but to my surprise they were able to schedule us the week following our signing the contract. They completed the work within two days, and it's beautiful! So nice that even my neighbors behind us asked for their card. I am completely impressed and I'm grateful to Angie's List for helping me find them since on my own I was having very little luck getting responsible and competitive companies to quote the job.

I contacted Freedom Fence based on their reviews from Angies List along with 3 other contractors for pricing on the above work. Steve, the owner of Freedom Fence, contacted me immediately following my internet information request (on a Saturday). We scheduled an appointment for the following Monday for an estimate. On our initial contact, he was polite, professional and very knowledgeable. I proceeded to secure the other estimates (as any good consumer would). Freedom Fence was the lowest out of all the estimates. Although Steve came in with the lowest bid on the work, that was not the reason I hired him for my job. He was always patient and accommodating when responding to my many follow up questions. This involved many emails and phone calls, which he return promptly. He talked me through the process. This was a sizable purchase for our home and I felt he really understood this and made me feel like I wasn't just another job to him. Being the lowest bid was just a bonus. When he came out to sign the contract he did a final measurements (a detail I appreciated as no one likes surprises) and brought up a small matter of having the A/C line raised up so the deck would slide under. This seems like a small detail, however I was able to have the A/C person take care of this BEFORE construction as to not cause delays DURING construction. I really appreciated his attention to detail. The job started a few weeks after the contract was signed as he promised. Steve showed up with his crew promptly on the first day ready to work. Both he and his crew were always very polite and respectful which was refreshing. Steve was an active participant with his crew in the entire rip down and building process. This may not seem important to some, but to me this shows that he is a true "lead by example" person, which truly resonated with me. Each day the crew worked hard taking few breaks and cleaned up after themselves before leaving. After each project was complete, Steve and his crew looked proud of their work, and rightfully so! All projects were completed on time with no delay. The fence looks amazing, the deck is beautiful and the retaining wall was built to last! We are so pleased. The quality of their workmanship is outstanding. You could tell the pride Steve and his employees took with each project completion. I have 2 small children and they too were ecstatic about the new fence and deck and enjoyed watching them being built. We are truly looking forward to great summers for many years to come. My hat goes off to Steve and his employees at Freedom Fence. They did an outstanding job at a great price and we couldn't be happier.

I called for an estimate, and they came out within a couple of days and started work. Everything was good; they were very good to work with.

I wish all contractors were this amazing! The estimator arrived early, was very friendly, knowledgeable & fair - after three other estimates from other companies - he was a breath of fresh air! The estimator also works on the install & has been working in the industry for many years. After reading reviews, finding they had a A+ rating at the BBB, and comparing the price with the other estimates - we decided to go with Freedom Fence. Our fencing appointment was scheduled a month out - we didn't mind the wait b/c a busy fencing company in the middle of winter is a great sign! They were able to fit us in 2 weeks early & called to ask if an earlier date suited us. The installers arrived early and did a fantastic job! I highly recommend this company to anyone in the area - these guys are the best of the best.

My back drive gate was broken during Sandy's storm. Freedom Fence replaced it with a new and more efficient gate, making some changes to the exsisting structure. They were on time, extremely professional and quick with the overall job. Their price was very competitive and accurate to their estimate. We were very pleased and would use them again. We were very satisfied. The work was done professionally and on time. When we called them after the Derecho they responded quickly and repaired the fence without delay. They cleaned up after themselves. We were very satisfied with this company.

They were great and their price was what they said it would be. They had to match the fence around other yards in our neighborhood so the neighborhood looked uniform.

My husband was looking for a reliable contractor to replace about 140 ft of fencing and a driveway gate. We called a couple of different contractors so we could have some idea what type of fence we wanted and how much it would cost. Freedom Fence did come out and measure and stated that they would call and give us some prices of different types of fence. We waited for over a week and then my husband called them. I don't know who we talked to but he said it was his partner who did the estimate and that he would get back to us --- well now it has been almost 2 weeks and we still have not heard a thing. If I can't even get a reply from them why would I want to contract a job with them? upate -- It is now dec 28th and we still have not heard a word from them.

As with our first encounter with Freedom Fence, Steve was receptive and helpful throughout the whole process. He was always on time for appointments and kept us up to date of any problems or concerns. He made sure all permits were taken care of accordingly and that all inspections were handled as required. The job was finished in less than a week and within the promised time frame (even with some inclement weather). We would highly recommend Freedom Fence for your decking and fencing needs. Their price was less than that of other companies we received estimates from, but their work was definitely not lower quality. Great service and fair pricing would make us use them again without hesitation.

The guys at Freedom showed up on time, fully explained my options and gave accurate estimates. They installed a beautiful and durable gate. It was so well done that another contractor saw it and asked for their name so that he can use them in his projects. When there was a minor issue with the latch being off-center, they came back immediately and adjusted it at no charge. These guys are fantastic, and really know what they're doing. I highly recommend them for any gate or fencing work.

The estimator show up as scheduled, was very professional and prompt providing drawings/bid. I accepted the bid and set up the date and time to install. The installers arrived on time and were very professional in all aspects of installing the fence per the estimator's drawings. The job we had done was not large but based on all aspects of our installation I strongly recommend them to anyone looking for a reputable fence company.

Overall this was a very pleasant experience. My wife and I had been needing a privacy fence to close off one side of our yard and after reviewing several contractors we decided to go with Freedom. They came out and had all the work completed in the time specified, they were very professional, used high quality materials, and left the site spotless. I had suspected the price to be a bit on the high side, but you get what you pay for. In this case, I did my own research on the cost of materials, tool rentals, and my own personal time to perform the same job with an assistant and the DIY cost came out in the same ball park. Needless to say we will be using these guys again in the future.

Steve came out promptly to give me a quote, which was less than the bigger competitor. The fence was installed about three weeks later and on the exact date I had requested (plus one day due to torrential rain). It took less than a day to install the fence. They came back the next day to install the gates because they had to wait for the concrete footers to dry. We love our fence. We have a huge back yard and always felt kind of lost in it. Now we have a nice size fenced in area that is cozy and eye pleasing. I would definitely use Freedom Fence again. I really like supporting small business and having the owner on the job.

The job was done quickly and efficiently. With the exception of the gates, which were hung the following day, the fence was up in one days time. They were easy to work with, and when we voiced a few small concerns (some of the boards had major knots), they were quick to address it without complaint.

They were very responsive and the price was good. They did a great job. They knew I needed the work done in a certain time frame and they accommodated that.

We contacted Steve from Freedom Fence after having 3 other quotes for our privacy fence. He came to our home within a few days to give us a quote and came in under the 3 previous quotes. He had samples of the material that he would be using for our fence and gave us an approximate time line for ordering materials and installation. He seemed very nice and professional. On the day of installation, Steve along with 2 other guys worked very hard and were very professional towards myself as well as my not so polite neighbor. The work was completed in about 4 hours and it looked AMAZING! I had a neighbor stop by during the installation process to get a business card from Steve because she was so impressed with his work.

The folks at Freedom Fence were very responsive and professional. They were available to do the work right away after we signed a contract for the job. They are knowledgeable on local codes and gave us good advice on what fence height we were allowed to install at the different parts of the fenceline. They are also very knowledgeable on fencing codes as they pertain to swimming pools. The work was done very quickly and the quality is excellent. The men doing the work were efficient and professional. We have gotten lots of compliments on the appearance of the fence. We love the way it looks, too, and are also very satisfied with the performance of the fence so far.

Work went smoothly and project was completed in just under 1.5 days. Steve and one assistant came and put up the fence in our yard over the course of a weekend. They were professional, friendly, and did a great job cleaning up after themselves. The fence is great so far, and Steve mentioned that if there is any changes as the fence and posts settle, to let him know and he will be out to fix them. He was prompt to come out for the estimate, and had the most fair estimate compared to several local competitors (plus one ridiculously high quote from Lowe's). He was easy to get a hold of in the process before installation. I couldn't recommend Freedom Fence enough!

Approx 6 wks wait for work to be performed. Workmen worked very hard and completed estimated 3 days work in 2 days. Excellent quality of materials and workmanship. Discount given for unused materials.

Overall, we had the feeling that this company was trying to cheat us. He seemed to pull the "revised" estimate out of thin air the next day, with no concise explanation of why the first figure was so far off. Of course, as a customer, we needed to feel that the company we were hiring was honest and trustworthy. NO CHANCE that we would hire these guys to do any work for us!!!!!!! Beware!!
