Description of Work: I called and left a message after hours for a return call the next day. I received a call back within minutes from Michelle who asked me what was wrong and why did I need service. I explained that my A/C compressor wouldn't turn on. She told me a few things to check and low and behold it was a simple condensation pump that had been unplugged, after plugging it back in and it pumped the water out, the compressor came on and works fine. I dealt with them over the winter with a heating issue and they are amazing then as well. I WILL NEVER CONSIDER ANOTHER COMPANY for HVAC. You guys are amazing and give Michelle a raise her customer service is exceptional. Thank you for being an honest company that does the right thing for your customers.

Description of Work: The home is owned by my wife's uncle who is currently in a nursing home. It has been unoccupied for a about a year and is being prepared for sale. The provider was called to inspect the HVAC system because of insufficient cooling of the air conditioner and for a water leak in the humidifier.

Description of Work: Had a split-heat pump installed. From start to finish, the owners were a pleasure to work, very professional. The price was the lowest I found. Easy to talk to and efficient in their work. Discussed alternatives easily and gave useful unsolicited advice. Some of the job was more difficult than anticipated (due to needing to drill a dense concrete wall) but done well with no complaints. I will definitely call them again on any issues related to heating/AC.

Description of Work: Rick did a super job at installing my A/C ,my house cools off quicker than the last company`s equipment, he really took the time to design plan and install to my specs!

Description of Work: Whenever the outside unit got wet (especially with the recent rain and wind) the unit would short out and blow the breaker. I called Comtemporary Air and they responded immediately. There was a wire that was intalled incorrectly at the factory, and it wore through and was exposed. They replaced this and saved me a bundle. I was thinking I would need to get a new unit but it runs good as new. They also cleaned the unit and tested the coolant levels.

Description of Work: My A/C was not cooling a few days before some visitors were arriving from overseas. I called up a few companies from the Angie's List. This company charged the lowest to come out to my place and it is free if they fix things. They came on time and wore uniforms, very professional. Within a minute after the technician opened the unit, the bad compressor was diagnosed. They had the new compressor on their truck and it was replaced very quickly. The A/C started to work immediately! The new compressor was $200. I asked them if I needed to add freon as other companies had suggested. They told me that freon is recyclable and usually there is no need to add, which saved me some money. Since I was impressed with their performance, I asked if I could have them service my heat pump once or twice a year. The answer was that one usually does not need to spend extra money - just call them when the A/C or heater stops working and they will come. This saved me even more money. They left me a free refrigerator magnet with their phone number and important kitchen tips on it. They are the best service company I have ever worked with.

Description of Work: In January our heat pump began to take a much longer time to warm our house. (We turn the heat down at night.) Rick found that a single valve had gone bad. A simple replacement was not possible because the company had redesigned the system. In most cases that would require a whole new heating system, right? In this case, Rick bought another valve and was able to adapt it to our system.

Description of Work: I used Contemporary Air Systems Inc to repair the AC in June. He checked and said that the compressor was broken and that needed to be replaced. Then he asked about the coolant, and I said I had never used it. Then he said that in that case I need to replace anything. I was so happy with them that I asked them to do the annual maintenance for me.

Description of Work: Contemporary Air Systems converted our house from a heat pump to a gas furnace. Rick and his crew were on time, used drop cloths and left no mess. This was a pretty big job and they had it done in one day.
