Weichert, Realtors-Caton Properties

Was "represented" with dual agency agreement by Michael Ladd Cavey of Weichert Caton. He diligently took us to look for a house for a day and a half. The next touring session, we cut short and struck out on our own. We found a building lot and builder WITH NO assistance from Mr. Cavey. WE (not Mr. Cavey) negotiated an agreement w/ a great builder/seller. We signed an agreement at which Mr. Cavey was present (he had to be by contract). After the signing, Mr. Cavey disappeared. He did not respond to our phone calls, emails, gave no assistance w/ trying to find a rental unit to hold us until the house was built, did not respond to the seller's calls or emails, etc. After 2+ months of no responses, we contacted the broker/owner Bill Iampieri. I was berated by Mr. Iampieri for bothering him on his vacation (his office gave me his cellphone number). He told me he could not care less and does not want to be bothered by ignorant buyers about a lousy single property. These "annoying buyers" will be filing a complaint with the Maryland Real Estate Commission. Neither Mr. Cavey nor Mr. Iampieri deserve their licenses.
