We called No Frost about a bad leak in May. Eric came and fixed it, and he also recommended that because our system was so old, we should think about getting a new one. Eric also told us about current rebates which we really appreciated. Within a few days Eileen Bangs got the contract ready and we arranged to have No Frost come back in June. Eric and another man came back about a week ago. They worked hard all day to take out the old equipment and put in the new. The were on time, respected our property, and answered all my husband's questions and even helped him program our new thermostat and helped him understand everything. They always answered our phone calls and were very responsive to us. They explained the rebates which helped us to save a lot of money. I would definitely hire them again. We covered the floor in our basement with old tarps to protect our floors which I recommend that others do when you hire people to work in your house and they have to come in and out with heavy equipment. Well, we live between Baltimore and Washington, and today it's 100 degrees in Baltimore and we are very comfortable in our home, thanks to everyone at No Frost.

We had No Frost replace our Furnace\AC on the main level a couple years ago. They by accident didn't fully charge our credit card, and I called them to let them know they made the error. They were so sweet and glad to have figured out the accounting mistake. Eileen marked on my account that I would get a free service for my honesty (which is so generous!). This service call would have been $92, which I think is also a great price. I really have only great things to say about them. They have helped us so much throughout the years. We tell everyone that asks for a HVAC referral to go to No Frost!

Went well. Efficient. No problems. Received three quotes, and theirs was the best price. This really is a family business. One son did the estimate. Two sons did the install. The mother answers the phone. Their office adjoins the home.

After giving all my information to schedule an estimate, I was informed that they do not service manufactured/mobile homes. What??? It is the same exact type of appliances.

Family business. Very responsive. Price was reasonable for the amount of work done... new furnace, new air conditioner, new a-coil, new thermostat and new wiring. High quality (but not over-the-top) Trane products. Without our asking or expecting, rehabilitated, rewired and restarted our furnace humidifier. System works very well and exactly as promised. They showed up exactly on time and finished the job in one day. No surprise or hidden costs.

The office staff was friendly and efficient at scheduling the service. The crew was always kind and professional, explained the work thoroughly and had a clear and obvious attention to detail. I'd highly recommend their service.

Installation went well. When it was time to use the AC, the unit was frozen - No Frost came out promptly and resolved the problem. Unit working great. This company has installed two different units for us and we have been very pleased with their work, pricing and pride in their family owned business.

I requested an estimate the previous week to see what I was getting into. The person that came out was able to give me good information that allowed me to make the decisions necessary to choose what I wanted. We scheduled service for the following week and everyone arrived on time. It took the amount of time they said it would and I am very happy with both my new water heater and the work performed. The workmen cleaned up behind themselves and I never new they were there. I look forward to using them for future work.

We were originally scheduled to have the hot water heater installed the week before but there was a big snow storm the day before so we rescheduled to the following week. This was not an emergency so it was not problem for us. The technicians arrived on time and completed the work within 3-4 hours. Our yard was pretty muddy from the melted snow so the guys put down some cardboard to walk on. They cleaned up very well and the hot water heater works great.

After coming home to a cold house, I called after hours and was still able to get scheduled for first thing in the morning. The technician showed up promptly, diagnosed the problem, and left to get the replacement part. Done in a couple of hours. He was friendly and professional and also gave me tips on furnace cleaning and maintenance.

I knew my central a/c unit did not have a lot of life left when I moved into my house in September 2008. In the spring of 2012 I spent about $600 on free-on just to get it through that year, so I knew I needed to replace it in 2013. I called three provider's from Angie's list to get quotes. All the quotes were fairly similar, but I went with No-Frost because of the reviews I read on Angie's List as well as the good feeling I got during my multiple conversations with them. Everything went great with No-Frost. They responded quickly to my first phone call and came out within a few days to a week to give me a quote (it was quite a while ago so I don't remember exactly). John came out and did a thorough review of what I had, the size of my house, how things were set up, duct work, etc. My initial intent was to just replace the a/c unit. John educated me on the inefficiency of having a new high efficiency a/c unit coupled with an older less efficient furnace (furnace was about 10 years old). He also told me about available rebates through the manufacturers and BGE. I decided to have him quote both just the a/c unit as well as another quote for both the a/c unit and the furnace. I also asked him to quote both a 80% efficiency furnace and a 95% efficiency unit, but we decided that due to my current duct work I would not really get the full benefit out of the 95% furnace. It turned out that the difference in price between the a/c only ($4500) and installing both ($6300) was much less than I anticipated when all the discounts/rebates were applied. John also told me out about available 36 months financing at 0% interest, so I went the finance route and had both installed. No-Frost made the paperwork process very easy also. John's crew arrived right on time first thing in the morning and got right to work.They were clean, efficient, not overly noisy, easy to work with, and were done before lunch. I believe there was one or two things they needed to ask me about during the job, but nothing major. All the lines they had to run were done in an unobtrusive way so as to not create an eyesore (my basement is unfinished at the moment but none of the lines are in the way for when I do finish it, which is in the plans). All in all I was very pleased with the job and the service level and would definitely recommend No-Frost as a potential provider (and actually have once already).

The 10kW heating element in my heat pump's air handler burned up. I called No Frost because they had installed the entire system 5 years earlier and I liked their work. The receptionist said she would have someone call me back, but within the hour, their truck was at my door! They diagnosed the problem, ran back to the shop for parts, and had a new unit installed within an hour -- all under warranty. They were incredibly responsive.

We called at 7AM; No-Frost answered quickly and said they'd get someone here in the AM. The technician arrived at 10:30 and was done by 11:30. Very professional, explained the job and cost, and did it well. Overnight we had lost heat. Inside temp was down to 50 when No-Frost got here. Now all is warm.

They were honest and I value that over anything else. I took a couple of estimates before I called them and when they got there they admitted they could not beat the price of their competitor. I had a leak in my old heating unit which was over a decade old. Before we even talked about the price he asked to look at it and saw there was a clog that was causing the leak. He fixed it in ten seconds and said "Even if you decide not to go with us at least that is fixed." That was it for me someone that fixed my problem on a consult without asking for a dime. Their competitor had not even asked to look at the system before they started throwing prices at me. They were on time and prompt. They cleaned everything up like nothing happened when they left. Very satisfied and will call on them again.

Technician was prompt and polite. He quickly replaced the broken part, gave me useful maintenance tips, and inspected for gas leaks. My only complaint is the exorbitant overhead: billed $130 for a $20 part, plus labor.

Chad came by on 01/31/15 to check out broken heat furnace; spent some time diagnosing the problem. Found that the fan motor and 2 other componate were bad. Because the furnace was over 25 year old he recommended replacing the whole system, heating & A/C unit, but gave me the option of just replacing the broken piece. Decided to go with the full replacement; because I am a Angie's list member they gave me a $300 discount on the installation. He could not get the new unit until Monday; so early Monday Chad and his crew showed up with the new unit. It only toke them about 4 hours to completely install both the outside & inside units. When finished they remove the old equipment and clean up. It was a very good experience.

I was not pleased with the start of the project. You should not tell me that it's new, if it doesn't look new and a raggedy box. I just felt like that was a little shady.

Wow! Excellent service!! Our furnace stopped working late last night and we panicked and called the first technician we could find on google that provided 24 hour service. We ended up having to wait anyway, and when they came they said that since our 14 year old furnace was so old the parts would be very expensive and it would be more cost effective to buy a new furnace. I went on Angie's List, which is what I should have done from the start, and found No-Frost. They called me back within the hour and had John come out to check our system. John said he thought he had the part and went back to pick it up and install the part. I cannot say more positive things about this company. You can tell that they enjoy their work and John is very proud of the family run business. He went the extra mile and was efficient, pleasant, and appreciative of our business. I can't believe that I almost paid thousands of dollars for a new furnace, when No-Frost was able to come and repair the problem the same day. I will recommend to all my family and friends. We got them from Angie's List, and we were very happy with them. We really like them. They were very cordial, cleaned up, and were very friendly. It was very expensive. However, because we had used them before, they gave us a discount, and because we were on Angie's List, they gave us more discount, and so that brought the price down a little.

I called Barbara and a technician was out my house within the hour. John (technician) was very professional, diagnosed the problem within minutes and had the replacement part with him in his truck. I've had other companies out here to service my furnace before and they usually try to do a bit of selling, John understood our intention to get as much life out of our 20 yr old furnace as possible. I'd absolutely do business with this company again and its nice to support a locally owned and operated business as well.
