The visit went very well! The technician that came out was Mr. Cornett Evans. He was very thorough. I particularly enjoyed the fact that he didn't treat me like a "girl." I am a retired Air Force Lieutenant Colonel. (He didn't know that thought.) He explained what needed to be done and what he was doing as he performed the work in an educational manner that I fully appreciated!! He climbed on the roof and showed me an error a previous roofer made…and fixed the problem. He was very personable and knowledgeable of his craft. I am waiting for a major rain to ensure all the water entry points were sealed off during the visit. But, I am highly confident that I won't have a problem. I also wanted to make a special note of the excellent customer service I received when I initially contacted Mr. Handyman of Greater Columbia. I sent a request for an estimate/service through Angie's List on the evening of 6 August 2018 at approximately 7pm. I received a call on my home voicemail by 9am on 7 August 2018. I was contacted by customer service representative Ms. Taylor Miller. She was fabulous! Her customer service was so outstanding I didn't even wait to receive an estimate from the other two companies I contacted. She was professional, friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating to my schedule. I spoke with Taylor from work on the 7th and I was scheduled for service on SATURDAY, 11 August from 1100am-1pm. She called me Saturday morning at about 8am apologetic for contacting me so early. But, she wanted to ask if the technician could come around 9am. My overall experience with the company was wonderful. I will be requesting Mr. Evans' service again when needed. If I am fortunate, I will have Ms. Miller as my representative in the future!!

Our handyman arrived on time and we had about 90%of the materials on site when the handyman arrived. It ended up taking him about 4 or 5 hours for the small microwave vent, 2 electrical outlets, and switching out a simple bathroom faucet. This was at a cost of approx. $120 AN HOUR (I thought the rate was $60 an hour) . I thought the nice gentleman took a little long to get that stuff done but it was ok. The tiling took about what I think it should have. All in all it cost $1200 and 9.75 hours for what should have been probably 5 to 6 hours at $60ish an hour. COMPLETE RIP OFF. I made my concerns clear to the company that I’d like to speak with the owner and how I felt $120 an hour was quite steep. He never called back and it been 2 weeks. Thanks Mr. Handyman!

Seriously milked the clock. The job should’ve taken maybe 3 hours and took over 6. Supports were left loose and would’ve fallen through the ceiling if not redone. Wiring was wrong and needed to be redone.

Very well. Tech was punctual, knowledgeable, well-equipped and experienced.

Jerry did an excellent job taking less time than estimated which lowered cost. He arrived on time at 7.30am to measure, then left to pick up doors (slabs), returning to install using mostly previous hardware.

Well. Broke two other tiles in process of taking the original broken one out, but reduced bill by one hour.

The workman was excellent! Professional, efficient, responsive to questions, and the work quality is great. He cleaned up his work areas each day, was polite, and respectful.

The toilet needed to be replaced. At first, we had trouble finding the right size at the local store but the dispatcher helped us and we were able to purchase the toilet and a handyman came back two days later to install it. We were pleased with the assistance and the explanation of why we needed to replace the toilet.

The job went fantastic. Suzanne sent out Tim and he got the job done in 3 days. It was awesome, he knew exactly how to get the job done and the quote was right on the money. If you have a tile job and want it done correctly, call Suzanne and ask for Tim. We will be calling this company back for future jobs. Thank you Suzanne and Tim for a job done perfectly.

Went well. Charlie and Johnnie (the workmen) were very professional, friendly and did a great job. A few hiccups by admin. staff -- sent only 1 workman (not 2 as needed) and had to reschedule the job for a different day. Also, took longer to complete than anticipated and at $116 / hour per workman it got expensive to pay for 2 men for 7 hours it took to complete.

Tiles were not aligned properly some were not level and even though I gave the installer dye for the grout he did not dye the grout.

All the work was done within the 2 hour minimum. Tim was great to work with.

Serviceman arrived promptly on time and was very professional. The workmanship of the caulk job was very poor, with cracks and voids in the caulked area after completion. Mr Handyman was very responsive in remedying the issue at no additional cost.

They reported that they did not need to come out to give an estimate but quoted $1000 to powerwash, seal, and rescreen deck. We told them this was a bigger job than they thought, and she looked at google maps and real estate pictures to verify they could do it. I told them scaffolding would be needed, and they said they have and would use scaffolding. They came out and reviewed deck, admitted it was a bigger job than they were told and admitted it would take another day to complete. They went to home depot and purchased lumber to replace rotting pieces, staples (never used), screws (never used), and deck wash. ($200 charge for this) At end of day, deck was disassembled and powerwashed, and one screen hung. I was told it would be a week before they would come out again. They came out the next week, and they sealed exterior of deck (excluding the area they already screened in) and installed 4 more screen panels. This was all they did for the entire day. We were home for part of the day and watch the workers, the work was slow, very slow. There were several times he workers would be standing doing nothing but looking around, texting or not even in visible area of the porch doing anything. My wife went out on the patio and was able to apply sealer to the interior rails/posts and be done in an hour and during that time one work was on a ladder applying sealer while the other worker seemed to be walking around. When we complained about the costs and the time it was taking the workers explained that going up and down the ladders to time and that our patio has “a lot of detail”. Where was the scaffolding to make the job easier and quicker? Our patio is a square with 14 rectangle areas and 2 triangle areas to screen. It’s wood and a weather sealer. This is not an off shaped room with multiple angles and crevices that need to be done. That night my wife spoke with Suzanne expressing our frustration with the slowness of the work and how this was costing us over 5 times the quote they gave us. Then next morning I spoke with Rob, who offered a 10% discount. They came back the next day. Showed up at 10 am because they had another job to finish beforehand. They finished screening, then re-installed trim pieces. I don’t believe they sealed any of the trim pieces. We were charged $257 for 1 box of nails, gloves, a box of stapes, a zippy roller, and 2 stain brushes. It took them from 10am until 8pm to finish which was to staple 11 screens and nail the trim work over it. I am at a loss as to how 3 screens could be done in about 1 hour the previous day yet it took 10 hours to put up the remaining ones. On top of that, there are a few holes in the screen from installation where it looks like they caught it on screws. Total charge for what they told me should cost $1000? $6000. Absolutely ridiculous.

I was so glad I hired mr. Handyman services. The desk drawer did not fit. He worked **** ** fixing it so that I could use the drawer. He looked at the steps and realized I did not need to replace the Stringer at this point. He was able to reinforce the section of the Stringer that was split which saved me me more money.

Our project went very well. The work was done efficiently and to our complete satisfaction. Gary was accommodating and responsive. The work was good. We will call him for future projects.

The worker showed up right on time. After assessing the job, he needed to go to the hardware store for materials. He spent over $100 on materials. Even though the company was notified ahead of time that the job required patching sheetrock, he went to the store on the clock and bought large (LARGE) containers of joint and patch compound and only used a small amount. Why can't Mr. Handyman have common materials on hand, and only charge you for how much you use? Instead, they billed me for a lot of unnecessary materials, plus time at the store, plus a $20 van charge (for a couple of miles?!) on top of that. He made a second trip to the hardware store because he got the wrong color of paint, despite my having showed him an empty paint can with the color codes from painting the room previously. The pipe repair was quick. But when he patched the sheetrock, he didn't sand the compound before painting, so the paint is not smooth. There was a second sheetrock job I showed him at the beginning, but he didn't tell me he wouldn't do it until he was ready to leave.

Work was very good. Juan did an excellent job but due to the much higher than average cost, we did not have him wait and sand the mud. When I talked to the company the day before work, I was assured that it would be a one time visit even though I had concerns but there was no way I was going to pay to have Juan sit around u tilt he mud dried so the repair should have been at least 2 visits as I voiced. I would NOT recommend this company for drywall repair due to their charges...when I did more investigating I found that for the price I paid I could have gotten over 4 hours of work not 2.5.

Showed up on time and completed the work in a timely manner. It looks great. It was especially nice to be able to schedule him to come at 7am and still leave by 8am to get to work.

They were responsive, professional, on time and did the job well. I find them a bit pricey. Job took longer than they quoted and cost more, but I would use them again - in a pinch - if I couldn't find anyone more affordable.

Spoke to Rose at the office. She was courteous and fit me in. The handyman that came was prompt, thorough & efficient, and knowledgeable of many things. Did several jobs during the day. And at the end held the cat for five minutes!

He was nice and work was fine, but price was extremely high for an hour and a half of services
