MARYLAND HEATING & COOLING

I sent a message to Maryland Heating and Cooling to see if they might be able to come out. Our regular people were not scheduling for 9 days and meanwhile, our upstairs had reached 99 degrees. Maryland Heating and Cooling did write back to us in a timely manner and said they had someone who could come out today. Unfortunately, we had already found someone else by the time we heard back from them so we went with them. But we very much appreciated their responsiveness and ability to send someone out on the same day (the day after Fourth of July!), even though we didn't use their service.

Maryland Heating and Cooling did an excellent job. Prior to the replacement, they provide great advice and tried to troubleshoot the problem before we decided to replace. They were extremely professional, courteous, thorough and took the time to understand what I was looking for before recommending an HVAC unit. Not only are they knowledgeable but they are very honest too. They didn't try to up sell, rather they recommended what was best for my situation. I would highly recommend Maryland Heating and Cooling without hesitation.

Excellent, responsive, and professional service team! Our residential AC compressor decided to quit working last night. They showed up first thing this morning, quickly diagnosed the system, found the problem, and fixed it. Very easy to talk to and work with. Price was very reasonable. Provided excellent advice to keep the system healthy and our future expenses low. We just found our first-choice heating/cooling service techs. While we, like everyone else, hope to avoid heating/AC problems, it's great to know we can rely on Maryland Heating and Cooling to help us when we do.

went very well. if they did not come out on a SUNDAY I would have paid for a 2nd floor unit I did not need + would have to replace the heat pump that was not working.

Honestly, I can't think of anything that they did wrong. Answered the phone outside of business hours, showed up on time the next day, communicated clearly, worked efficiently, didn't gouge me on replacement parts.

On the coldest day of the year our furnace was getting hot but not blowing air, and as I suspected the motor for the blower was done. Ron and Debbie came out the same afternoon, took the furnace apart and diagnosed it in front of me, and explained the process and cost of what need to be done. They were fast, responsive, and very pleasant to have in the house. They had to cut and replace PVC piping (in order to gain access) as well as replace the 3/4 HP blower motor. Job well done, when they left the heat was on, they cleaned up well, I'm glad they left a magnet on the furnace as I would call them again for sure.

I could not be happier with my experience with Debbie and Ron. I assumed I needed a whole new system and Debbie talked some common sense into me. They quickly diagnosed the issues and had both units up and running in no time. Don't even think about using another company, I have every faith in their honest ability to do the job.

Fabulous service. EXTREMELY knowledgeable. They squeezed us in a very busy day, came out first thing, and identified the problem in what seemed like a minute. They even gave us pointers on how to preserve the life of our AC that we had never thought about. Great company!

good. Work performed as asked. Also replaced contactor and pipe insulation. They were able to come earlier, which was good.

I obtained 3 quotes and decided to work with Debbie and Ron because their proposal was the best value in that it met the specifications of our home and our personal needs while recommending a system that was reasonably priced. They did not try to sell us equipment that had greater capacity than we needed. Debbie and Ron were technology very knowledgeable but also knowledgeable about the process for working with BGE and receiving the correct rebate. Our system implementation was completed within the scheduled timeframe, done professionally and with minimal disruption to our house. Debbie was very patient in teaching me the new Wi-Fi thermostat and receptive to follow up inquiries. I had the feeling that Debbie and Ron genuinely cared about us and wanted to do what was best for us. I enjoyed working with them and recommend Maryland Heating and Cooling - a great experience!

Excellent. They had the model on their truck. They were efficient and professional, explained what they were doing, and their response time on a Saturday was fantastic. From my call to them, until they left, was about 3 hrs. I would definitely call them, again!

Their price was the most competitive that I have gotten. If I have another thing going on with the system, I would use them again. They came out less than a week from when we had contacted them. I have already recommended them to a friend because they did good work and they had good prices. Everybody was nice and friendly. They did great cleaning up.

I have a service contract with them, so they come twice a year. I pay, I think it just went up, $220 and that’s for the year. Outstanding, they’re very good. I’d say they were here for a half hour maybe. Cleaned area good. We don’t use them unless they’re very good. No matter who you ask about.

We are very grateful that they got to us so quickly. They explained everything they were doing and helped us understand what went wrong and what they did to fix it. It was obvious to us that our 19 year old furnace was at its end of life and we asked them for a quote for a new system. They gave us a quote and a few days later installed the new system, again patiently explaining everything they did.

They diagnosed the problem---which also included some other mis-wired stuff in the unit itself, then got it all straightened out and working properly. VERY courteous, very efficient, and they also explained everything they were doing and why it was necessary. I was really pleased and SO happy to have my heat working again without having to wait days for an appointment. Would totally recommend them!

Debbie and Ron were really great to work with. They gave us a prompt estimate that was significantly lower than the others we got. The install was done professionally and efficiently. They obviously have lots of experience, know their business, and do it very well. We will definitely go to them for our future HVAC needs.

Excellent service and price. Their estimate was 2K less than similar products offered from two other companies. They removed my old furnace and compressor and replaced them within 5 hours. Everything was cleaned up afterwards. I highly recommend this company.

AWESOME! Owner Debbie was amazing from start to finish! They came out right away to give an estimate (very detailed one by the way) and answered my questions promptly. Her pricing of a Carrier system was excellent. She was always very informative, professional, and friendly. I received all the info I needed for the install and they were here promptly when they said. Put down drop cloths on my carpet and were in and out in 5 hours. She and her husband Ron make a great team and I am glad to have used them. Small business are very few these days as well as the customer service that goes a long with it. I will DEFINITELY use Maryland Heating and Cooling for maintenance and my other unit when it goes!

It went well, and I thought at a good fair price. We had a couple of options, made our selelction - an efficient model with a $750 rebate available on it from BGE. The new 3 ton unit is much more efficient, has a nice digital touch screen t-stat/controller, a multi-speed compressor and a multi-speed fan in the indoor fan coil unit. Very nice. The work was done by noon and all was cleaned up nicely. The workmanship was excellent. They handled submitting both the warranty info and submitting for the rebate (approved by BGE - waiting for the check now). Understand they are a small business - not dozens of crews and trucks, but are as responsive as they can be. They are also as good as their word, and my experience is they stand behind their word.

I called a couple of companies, and this one was able to come out the next day and have a look. After a brief inspection they determined the fan control board probably blew. As it was an attic unit and hot weather, Debbie suggested they come back for an early morning repair when the attic was a reasonable temperature. No big deal since the AC worked but the fan was just annoying. They came back a few days later, on a morning convenient for me, confirmed it was the board, gave a reasonable estimate, and had it repaired quickly. The fan obeyed the thermostat and everything seemed fine. Later in the day it became apparent the compressor was not turning on, so I called Debbie and she came out and fixed it asap. It was a simple wiring issue with the board. I was very happy with the service, and the price was reasonable.

Called a couple days after the big blizzard of 2016, expecting to schedule an appointment a few days later, but instead they were able to come out just a few hours later. My external heat pump wasn't working but I could still run off the emergency heat from the air handler. They diagnosed the problem as a blown defrost board, but didn't have a replacement. Instead of coming back a few days later they drove to a place got one and came right back in about an hour. Great responsive service. Note that I didn't rate the price, I think it was fair but really I'm in no position to judge whether it was good or bad.
