Description of Work: They trimmed a Zelnova tree. Ed told me he would be there is about a week and he was. They trimmed the tree exactly the way I wanted it. It looks great.

Description of Work: The company is owned and run by the Benesch family, father and son. Both Ed and Ed, Jr. came out to do an estimate and explained when and how they would do the landscaping work. I needed to have weeds killed in the flower bed with subsequent mulching in the area and all the trees in the yard. I also requested to have my garden tilled and topsoil added. In addition they fertilized the soil with maneur, so hoping to get some decent veggies this year. The folks are pleasure to deal with and got the job done well. Glad i could support local business.

Description of Work: We hired Ed, Sr. last year to cut our lawn. He was very punctual and did a great job for us last season. This year he sent out a letter asking if we wanted his services again this year; I returned the letter saying that we did. He left a message on my cell phone in March stating that he would begin cutting again the first week of April. The week before Easter 2012 I called and left TWO messages for Ed, Sr. asking him when he was going to arrive to cut our grass. He finally called me on Good Friday and told me he had driven by our house and looked at the yard and didn't think it needed to be cut. He only looked at the front yard -- he didn't bother to look at the back where it was tall enough to bale! On Good Friday he said he would be out the following Tuesday, April 10th. It was 11:40 am on Tuesday when I realized he wasn't going to show up that day either, so I went across the street to talk to the landscaping crew working at my neighbor's house. They made a phone call to their boss and within 90 minutes I had a crew of 5 cutting, trimming, and blowing my yard -- all for half the cost of what Ed was going to charge us. I phoned Ed around 11:45 am on Tuesday, and told him I was canceling, and not to show up. Ed FINALLY calls me at 4:45 on that same day (Tuesday) all upset because I canceled on him. (YEAH, THIS IS ALL MY FAULT ISN'T IT?!) Apparently, Ed didn't think it was important enough to show up on Tuesday as he had promised. I don't know what happened between last season and this season, but it was obvious to me that he did not want to cut our lawn this year. He made me so angry on the phone that I hung up on him.

Description of Work: I just hired Ed, Sr. to mow my grass and trim. He did an excellent job with both cutting and trimming. He is very friendly, helpful and professional. He will be cutting our lawn from now on! Thank you, Ed!

Description of Work: This company has cut my lawn since 1993, without fail........ Every other Monday he is here to cut and trim (including holidays). A plus is that Ed is flexible if I see the need for more or less cuttings pending on the weather and lawn conditions, he responds to my requests.....our yard is a hill.....the price is right......Ed is extremely reliable and I can recommend him.
