I had hired Dr. Furniture a few years ago to add more padding to my aging La-z-boy recliner. They did a great job at a reasonable price and were pleasant and professional to work with. So when I had another problem, I contacted them again. David asked me to send a picture and a description of the broken piece by email. He told me how much the repair would likely cost and asked if I still wanted to go ahead with scheduling the repair. I decided that fixing the chair wasn't worth the cost. I greatly appreciated that he took the time to have that conversation with me instead of just scheduling the work and hitting me with a big bill after the fact.

David was recommended by the retailer where we purchased the two sofas a long time ago. He did an excellent job replacing the broken mechanism and we also had him replace the other 3 that were balky. He diligently disassembled each sofa and reassembled with new parts, they now function like new! Would definitely hire David again!

I was given an appointment window between 4 -6:30 PM. David arrived shortly after 4 and in a matter of minutes had the recliner completely taken apart. He removed the broken springs and clips and replaced them with furniture webbing, put the chair back together, and left the floor cleaner than it was before he started. All in slightly more than an hour. Who says Doctors don't make house calls? These guys do the work in your home so no trying to move bulky furniture out the door and into the truck you rented or borrowed, then waiting weeks for it to be fixed, then wrestled back through your front door. A great value, and experience, in every way. Don't bother looking any further. Call Dr. Furniture. You won't be sorry!

We have used Dave several times previously for different repairs. He is responsible, honest, friendly, reliable and very knowledgable. Re: the current problem - our 2 year old sofa had stitches that were coming apart in several places. Dave assessed the situation and said he could repair it, but also informed us that the sofa should have held up much longer. He went to bat for us with the sofa company. Within a week we got a call from the sofa company and they are replacing our sofa!! Way to go Dave. You are amazing!! Thanks so much!!

David did an awesome job getting our GIANT couch down our NARROW staircase into our finished basement. A little background: we bought a house at the end of December, and found a couch we really liked to go in the finished basement. This is our first house and we didn't think to measure the staircase, assuming any piece of furniture we chose would just fit. Much to our chagrin, this was not the case. The couch we bought was too big to go down into our basement in one piece (believe me, we tried). For about a week, I intended to live with the basement couch staying upstairs in our living room. That was, until I did some Googling around and found that others have had furniture upholstery professionals perform "surgery" on their couches to take them apart, get them through tight spots, then reassemble them in the destination room. So, with that background, I contacted a few furniture upholstery companies and asked if they could do my couch disassembly & reassembly. David was by far the most responsive and helpful. He asked for pictures of the couch and a description of where I wanted it to go, and then promptly provided a quote, which I found to be quite reasonable. He told me upfront that there would be a short wait because he was catching up from his busy season. I accepted that because, hey, the couch wasn't going anywhere. A couple of weeks later, David showed up on the originally scheduled date, right on time and ready to go. He got right to work, and after about an hour and a half, and lots of scary noises from the sawzall, he was ready and we took the couch pieces down into the basement, where he proceeded to reassemble it back into one piece. About an hour later, I had my couch back to better-than-new condition (it seemed more solid) and in the basement, as originally intended! If you weren't told, you'd never know it had been cut up and put back together. Overall David was very professional and did a great job, and in the end his price was LOWER than his original quote! Whenever we move (hopefully not for a long time), I'll be looking to him first to get the couch back out of our basement. I highly recommend David and his company.

It's hard to find a quality repair option when a manufacturer decides to no longer honor a "lifetime" warranty. Fortunately, I stumbled on David Roseman, Dr. Furniture. I contacted the business through their website, and got a response in a few hours. We exchanged emails, I sent photographs of the chairs and David was able to assess the problem and suggest an alternative repair. By the end of the second day, we had set up an appointment. His assistant called the day before to confirm, and give me a 2-3 hour window of arrival. He arrived on the dot. Let me just say that David Roseman is exactly the repair expert you'd want in your house. He's professional, skilled and fun to talk to. He had the first chair in pieces on the floor in a matter of minutes. Screws, bolts, frame, cushions, reclining mechanism -- all were laid out in order, while he removed the leather upholstery and springs from the frame. It looked as though the chair had exploded. Before long, though, he had completely installed flexible webbing to replace the springs, added an additional layer of high-density foam, and reassembled the chair. Then, he did it all over again to the other chair! The price was more than fair. and it took about 90 minutes. So, here we sit. Absolutely over the moon in our matching leather recliners. It has been three years since we've been this comfortable, knowing the repair was done right. We could not be more pleased with this experience!

I was so delighted with the results that Dr. David will soon be returning for a third visit. I received excellent referrals for other furniture related services that have resulted in complete satisfaction. Dr. Furniture has made my redecorating project a pleasant and educational experience. The initial appointment was to check the sofa to see what repairs would be necessary. We like the style of the sofa but after six years of daily use the foam seating area was and quot;saggyand quot; in areas. Replacement foam had to be ordered and once this item was in stock, approximately two weeks later, we scheduled the second appointment for installation. Mr. Sutherland explained each phase of the work. My husband and I were very pleased with the improvement to the comfort of the seating area. For a relative small investment we will be able to get a few more years of comfortable seating from the sofa!

He did an excellent job. The communication was excellent. He ordered all the cushions based on the type of sofa and love seat that we have. He came over and he did it on site. It took him an hour to do it. He was recommended by a furniture company. The furniture are still intact.

Davids work is amazing. I didn't think that anyone would be able to repair the damage that my dog did to the arms of my chair. He repaired both arms and some gnawing marks on the base. I highly recommend him for all of your furniture repair needs.

Dave was great and very professional! He made it very easy to set up a time. He completed all the work at our house. The ottoman looks great! We are very pleased with his work. The price seemed a little on the high side, but no regrets. He has promised to come out and fix it again for free if we have any problems with the areas he repaired.

David Roseman has repaired broken recliners for me for several years now. We're pretty h****** the chairs and one company has changed to cheaper parts, which also contributes to the problem. If you need furniture repair, you want to call Dr. Furniture. Here's why: 1. Dave is a thorough professional who knows what he is doing and does it perfectly. 2. He always--I mean always--has arrived exactly on the day and time specified. 3. He is flexible in scheduling. 4. His prices are very good. 5. He can repair not only mechanisms but also frames and upholstery, too. 6. He is extremely responsive by phone or email. 7. He fixes the problem, which is, after all, why you hired him. In addition, Dave is a pleasure to work with. He is whip smart and has an amazing memory for who you are, where you live, and all the details about your furniture problems. Here's the biggest compliment I can pay him. When La-Z-Boy corporate wanted to know why I wasn't using their repairman for a warranty repair, I told them I wouldn't trust anyone but Dave and would rather pay for Dave's service than get what they offered for free, especially since they could only come on every third Wednesday between the hours of 10:00 AM and 7:00 PM... You won't regret using Dr. Furniture for your repairs. Just leave time on Dave's schedule for me!

Our leather sectional has a recliner segment which ceased to function properly. The seat back would recline only with great difficulty and had a permanent forward tilt. We called this provider who brought out a new recliner mechanism and repaired the sectional to an as new condition. We were so satisfied that we currently have a call into Dr. Furniture to repair a non-functioning sleep sofa we have.

Dave was wonderful to work with. He answered my initial inquiry promptly, showed up on time, and was very through in explaining how he was going to do the repair. I am so impressed that I'm having him come back to do some work on another piece of furniture!

Glenn arrived right on time, had all the appropriate tools (some custom) for Ekornes in his truck, and in less than one hour he had restored this expensive chair to normal function. He also advised us on the best way to care for the Ekornes leather and the mechanical components. He also.looked at an additional piece of furniture and gave us advice on fixng it ourselves. Glenn and Dr Furniture are a real find. I heartily recommend them.

I have severe rheumatoid arthritis and could not get up from our sofa. I found Dr. Furniture on Angie's list and he came out and added apx. 4 inches to the bottom of the sofa and chaise and I can now sit on the sofa with my husband. I'm so happy I found them and will use them every chance I get.

We first dealt with Glen, but he referred us to his partner David since he was closer to our home. David then contacted us promptly, discussed our needs, and scheduled and estimate time. He gave us a window time of about 2 hours and arrived at the VERY beginning of the window. He was able to fix our couch on site after doing the initial estimate. The estimate cost was rolled into the repair cost. Everything was done one site in a matter of an hour or so. David was wonderful. Very polite and friendly. His work was great. He even went beyond rebracing the broken frame, he added some extra padding to protect the frame. We would highly recommend Dr Furniture for your furniture repair needs.

An appointment was set up for 9:00 am to 11:00 am on a Saturday morning. Dave called at 8:15 am stating that he was running early and asking if it would be convenient to come to our house at 8:45 am. We agreed and he arrived promptly at 8:45 am. He looked at the couch, located a replacement spring on his truck, and fixed the problem. He answered a few furniture maintenance and cleaning questions. Dave was at our house approximately 15 minutes. His answers were clear and complete. Dave was very knowledgable and very pleasant to deal with.
