Julie and Jessica did an AMAZING job! They were very thorough, even beyond my expectation. It took about 3 hours for the two of them to clean my three story, 2200 sq ft townhouse with four bathrooms, which I thought was very reasonable. Would definitely recommend Clean as a Whistle!

Clean as a whistle staff are amazing. They take a hot mess and carefully clean and polish until it looks like a museum. I have elderly parents who have let the cleaning go as age and infirmary set in. The family decided it was time to step in and assist. Well we couldn't do it alone, and you don't have to either. The home is now cleaner and healthier for our dear ones. Many thanks to Lynn and her staff, for treating our family like their own.

So good, that I am almost afraid to post just how thorough and reliable the ladies are. Don't want them to get too busy for me. I have used several cleaning firms both private and franchise and can honestly say my house has never been cleaner. The ladies are always prompt and concerned with my satisfaction. 100% satisfied.

Very well. I’ve used this company for many years and they've done general cleaning (every two weeks) as well as special services for me from time to time. Owner Lynn (yes she really is the lady in the commercials) sets up the schedule and keeps on top of things to ensure that the jobs go well and I’m satisfied. I think I only had one instance where I was unhappy with something (not her fault) and Lynn resolved the issue quickly and to my complete satisfaction. It really is wonderful to have an owner who is this hands-on and responsive. I trust Clean as a Whistle and highly recommend them. They are reliable and do a great job.

I've used Clean as a Whistle for many years. Owner Lynn Smith is wonderful to deal with and always responsive to requests, changes, or questions. I've used them for regular cleaning (every 2 weeks) as well as some special jobs, like move-in or -out cleaning. The folks she hires are always polite, professional, and do a wonderful job and Lynn is definitely on top of things. I'm pleased to recommend them.

The staff was on time, did the cleaning efficiently and professionally. I have used Clean as a Whistle personally, for our office and recommended to my friends I have given Clean as a Whistle gift certificates to family and friends and they were very pleased with the job done.

This service has been cleaning my townhouse for the past 4 years. We have had a change in actual people who come out and clean, but the service has started to decline in the last 5 months. We are scheduled for cleaning every other Thursday afternoon. In the last 3 months they have only come at the scheduled time once, the rest of the time we get a message left during the day on Thursday mentioning that they can't make it until Friday morning. They clean our appliances and mirrors with clothes that aren't clean and leave streaks. The final straw was that I went into my bathroom and my new $40 shower curtain was ruined because of a bleach spray they used. I can accept accidents, but if you professionally clean houses I don't expect my shower curtain to be ruined by bleach. I am canceling my service and searching for a new one.

Over the course of about 20 years, the metal rails and ceiling panels of my suspended ceiling had yellowed due to aging, and being exposed to cigarette smoke. I had planned to replace the ceiling panels, and I needed to have the ceiling rails whitened. I started this whitening project, but quickly realized that a cleaning company should have some really good whitening products, and would probably do a much better whitening job than I could do. So, I called "Clean As A Whistle" and spoke with Lynn Smith. Lynn said that she would charge a rate of $50/hour for each person that she sends to the house. I told Lynn that the room is about 750 square feet in size, and there was about 500 linear feet of railing. I stressed to Lynn that my main objective was to whiten the railings. Lynn sent out two ladies to do the whitening. I showed these ladies what products I had tried, and what results I had achieved. I was surprised when the ladies started using my product. I told them that I thought that they should have access to the best of whitening products. They told me that they would try my product, and then they would try their product, and go with whichever made the railings whiter. The ladies worked for about an hour, and called me downstairs when they had completed the job. I went down to see the work that they had done, and was very surprised to see that my efforts had produced a much whiter railing than their efforts, and I was charged $100 for their work.

The person was due to arrive at noon. At 12:50 pm I called the owner, got her voicemail and left a message that I was disappointed as no one showed nor did anyone call. I said it was unprofessional. At 1:20 pm the cleaner arrived, clearly after she was contacted by Lynn Smith. Ms. Smith did not call me, when she did have my number as I left it on her voicemail, to apologize for the inconvenience and ask if it would still be alright to send Heather. . When I asked Heatherwhy she was so late, she told me she had two other houses to clean. I asked why she did not call to let me know that. She was harsh and said she didn't have my phone number. I sent her away as the very late arrival would not work with my schedule. I then called Lynn Smith. I indicated how displeased I was and that it was totally unprofessional. She was defensive and said she had been in business since 1986. I asked why no one called to let me know the woman would be late. I was given nothing but excuses that she did not have my phone number (which was unprofessional that she did not take it when I scheduled.) I reminded her that with the internet, since she had my name and address, she could easily have found it online. I asked for her to refund my money. She was nasty and said since I purchased the services through Living Social I would have to contact them. At no time did Ms. Smith apologize. She was defensive and kept stating she had been in business since 1986. I would not even consider using Clean as a Whistle, nor would I recommend them.

They came when they said they would and did a competent job at a reasonable price. However, they lost my housekey and asked for another. I gave it to them. Then they lost that one, and they wanted me to give them a third. I refused to do so. I got panicked calls from the cleaner wanting me to let her in at 6:30 a.m. so she could clean. I told her she could come in when she found my key. I have not heard from them since, and I don't want to. Changing locks is expensive

The issue that we had with them was that they expected us to provide all of the supplies and equipment, and we didn't really want to do that. Their price was fair, it was equivalent to what we are paying. They were very responsive to our original inquires. They were very professional. I will not use them in the future because they do not meet my requirements.

I was getting my house ready to go on the market and needed a showing. I had to get this done within 24 hours. So, I called Lynn and explained to her my situation. I told her I needed someone to come help me clean. I would do the majority of the rooms but I needed some to help clean the kitchen, mop the floor, vacuum, clean one abthroom and do light dusting. She sent me a woman named Carol, who I just thought thought was a wonderful lady and she and I discussed my expectations and hit list. Carol, did exactly what I had asked for and she was thorough and did a great job! I will use Clean as a Whistle again, but only if I get Carol. They were such great people to work with and I would recommend them to my friends. I think it is very important to be clear about what you want done.

Lynn was very professional and helpful, scheduling was great. And the person who came to clean was really nice. But for the first clean, she was only hear an hour and a half. The first clean, in my experience, is usually longer and more expensive. Lynn informed me they just clean everything every time, doesn't matter if it's the first, so this was the usual service to expect. I was surprised how quickly she was done--I know I can't thoroughly clean in that amount of time. There were lots of missed things--most of the display things in the master bath were still dusty and coated with hairspray and the floor was damp and still sticky (I'd made a special point of talking about that bathroom, which gets extra dusty because of all the products). I found tables with rings from glasses, dust b**** in the corners on the floors. Blinds, baseboards and fans weren't dusted--she just didn't have time to do all that. I spent 2 hours cleaning that night in anticipation of visitors, including recleaning the master bathroom. I had another team in today. Four women spent three hours here, and my house is PERFECT. It will be $10 more every two weeks than what I was quoted for Clean as a Whistle, and they use their own products. I don't recommend Clean as a Whistle...

This was not a good experience. The price was way too high for the quality of work that was performed. They advertise that it is a one-on-one service but I did not always have the same person. Several times I had to call to find out where my cleaner was because she did not show up on the appointed day. There were often streaks on the floor after they finished, and things that I would expect to be done on a regular or at least a periodic basis(e.g. clean the inside of the microwave)were not done. I gave some guidance but eventually just gave up-easier to just clean the house myself.

She was a very nice person, but I didn't want to stand over her so I gave her some general directions. And she missed some things that sort of surprised me. For instance I was hoping as a general cleanup she would wipe off the refrigerator handles but she didn't. She did a good job, but that was a little steep for me to pay for three hours.

The quality of the work was an 8 on a scale of 1-10. My kitchen was the cleanest it had ever been. When my mop left streaks on the floor, she got on her hands and knees an scrubbed it to make it shine. My vacuum broke in the middle of her work and she still managed to make my rugs look free from dog hair. I was very happy with her work. Only downside was she did not mop the hardwood floors upstairs.

The two cleaners work well together. They were open to suggestions on cleaning products, as well as made suggestions. I have new cabinets that I wanted to be well cared for and we worked together to find how.

Christine and Linda were very personable. They called to say that they had run into some traffic, but were delayed by mere couple of minutes. Their punctuality was much appreciated. However, when shown around the house they did not let me know how much they could do well in three hours time. Understanding that I had been unable to tend to the house for a couple of months, the dust and fur was heavy, however, I would have appreciated being told that the level of cleaning would be cursory at best given the size of the house and time allotted. Had I known I would have downscaled the scope and opted for less areas better cleaned, than what I got after three hours, which was most areas "touched". Maybe my expectations were too high, but for future, I would suggest all parties clearly discuss what their expectations are to know if they realistic.

One person was assigned to clean our home. The person didn't arrive at the time specified and my husband had to come back home to let them in. (They did drive quite a distance to get to our home). Since I have a background in property management/housekeeping, I did "inspect" the job done when I arrived home. She did a nice job, including wiping down baseboards and window ledges. While there were a couple of small details not caught, I will have her back for another visit and cross my fingers.

No mechanism for quality control. No written agreement specifying what would be cleaned. Very difficult to get response from owner. Numerous phone calls left on answering maching and never received a reply. The workers did a fairly good job but could never get a written agreement as to what they would do and how much it would cost.
