Excellent. Wesley Lacerda, the owner, is a pleasure to work with. He was very flexible in coordinating with our other contractors and the quality of the work was exceptional. This is the second time we have used BR and we would use them again without question.

We had almost 400 sq ft of tile removed and new hardwood floors put in the place. BR flooring had to tooth in the new hardwoods to the existing hardwoods in the adjoining area. After the install, the entire first floor had to be refinished, including the staircase and handrails, and a 2nd floor loft. the crew did the most amazing job. The floors turned out absolutely beautiful and Marcos and his crew left the house so clean. Barely any dust anywhere! If you're reading this and intend to refinish or install new wood floors, look no further. BR Flooring is the best!

It went great. Since wood is all they do they are experts at it and may get a better price on the flooring from the manufacturers since no one could beat their price. Very little dust and no "damage" to walls etc.

BR flooring was able to obtain a perfect match for the existing hardwood in the house, which saved us a ton of time, money, and aggravation. They provided us with samples so we could check the match ahead of time. They completed the flooring work very quickly and executed it flawlessly, they look just like the other floors in the house. The stairs they put in at first unfortunately did not match the floors nor the existing railing. This made me a bit nervous at first, because often times you don't know if you've hired a good company until something goes wrong. When we brought up the problem, BR flooring stood behind their work and completely sanded and refinished the steps to match the existing railing as we originally wanted and everything came out well in the end. I am very happy with this company because they both did great flooring work and had the integrity to fix all problems that arose with no fuss.

I had the work done while we were away so we could avoid the inconvenience of being unable to use the stairs and the dining room, which also made it impossible to pass through to our bedroom. When my wife and I returned, we found that they had done a wonderful job on the floors and steps. The railings and kneewall tops required a return visit because the finish had not been sanded. In light of the fact that most of their jobs are limited to the floor only, it was understandable that the above the floor part of the job required a return visit. They were responsive in returning and taking care of what needed to be done to make the entire job perfect. I would not hesitate to hire them again. They know what they are doing and they are erasy to work with.

Great experience. This is a small business owned by two brothers, Marcos and Wesley. They are very pleasant to deal with. They are very responsive and always show up on time. We needed to replace the wall to wall carpet in the family room with hardwood to match what the builder used. They gave us a great price compared to the local flooring stores in the area. The day of install was painless. The crew showed up on time, removed the old carpet, and laid the new floor down in about 5 hours. Both Wesley and Marcos stopped by to inspect the work when it was completed. It has been about 5 years, and have not had a single issue with the floor. This is a company I would use again and highly recommend.

Wesley and Marcos did an amazing job. Their attention to detail was great. The master staircase has lots of angles, and every cut was spot on. In our master bedroom, we put a border around the entire room, and the these guys did an amazing job. The angels were crisp and the floor looks amazing. There was no rushing with these guys. They spent hours just measuring and laying out the floor. Please see attached pictures. On price, they always came in lower then all the other hardwood places. I have used them now for about 5 years, and can't not find one thing to complain about. I have never had to call them back to fix their work. I did call them to fix some hardwood flooring from the builder, and they did it free of charge. Highly recommend!

They are very professional and stick to their schedule. They moved all my furniture out in the garage. Once they were done I had painting job for whole house. They came 20 days later to move my furniture back and also fixed my floor damage happened due to paint job in the house. They are very reliable. I paid whole amount as soon as the job was completed. They still came back to move and fix the patches that needed attention. I would strongly recommend them. I am getting good reviews from everyone who visits my house.

My floor looks terrible. First of all, the installation they promised when Wesley came out was, apparently, not possible so I had to may more to have tile removed. Also, they ignored instructions from the flooring manufacturers (I sent it ahead of time and they confirmed receipt) to get the bamboo floor acclimated to the new environment. Now, my floor has gaps and buckles in places. BR would not come fix it. They blamed everyone from the flooring manufacturer to the cabinet installers (actually said the cabinet installers nailed the cabinets to the floor but I watched that install and they did not. Plus, they were Ikea cabinets so nailing them to the floor would split them). I also discovered that I needed to pay extra for shoe moulding. Very disappointed in this company and I'm not sure where the good reviews are coming from. The cost in this review reflects the install costs alone. I bought the floor separately. Total cost of job was about $11k.

The business is owned and run by 2 brothers. Wesley came during the sales process. He was experienced and answered my questions quickly and with good knowledge. Their price was reasonable and reviews on Angie's List were good. So I hired them. My overall experience with BR Flooring was "ok, but not great." Three things really annoyed me and prevented me from giving them an A rating. First, they claim they use their own crew and don't subcontract the work. That is not true. They used an installation crew and a finishing crew. Both were obviously hired from somewhere else. This has created some communication problems. I made several requests during the installation and finishing process, but since the crew didn't understand English well. I had to call Wesley or his brother to explain. And since the two brothers were not at the work site most of the time, they had to call the crew to explain my requests. Most of my requests apparently never got through to the crew. As a result, parts of the floors were installed with ugly knots that I specifically asked them not to use, or some floor boards had wide gaps between the ends that were never patched up during the finishing process. But overall, the crew did a decent job. They were fast and skilled, and careful with my furniture when they moved it. So this issue is the least of my complaints. My second problem was that they needed to pick the right stain to match the color of the new floor to my existing floor. Since the existing floor's color had changed over the years, none of the off the shelf stains would match very well. In this situation, the right way to do a color match is to take a sample of the existing floor and go to a paint store to do a computer assisted match with a customized formula. But instead of doing this, Wesley's brother pushed me very hard to use one of the stains they had on hand and he repeatedly argued that's the right match and the color will change a bit once the floor is finished, etc. etc. But that was complete bull. He was just too lazy to do the work and the color was very obviously different even in my untrained eye (the real reason I think is that he had to move the finishing crew to another job, so he was trying to cut corners). I insisted the he went to a paint store and do a custom match. He did it once and then pushed me to use that stain, which was still obviously off. Instead of arguing with him, I had to take matters into my own hands, and I want to the paint store 3 more times to adjust the stain's color and I got a perfect match. Now every guest to my house is surprised how close the new floor's color looked like the existing floor, and I am really glad that I did the work myself. Custom matching stain color is a very routine job for a floor finisher. I was very disappointed that for a large project over $20K, BR Flooring didn't have the patience and time to do the job right. I did a near perfect job as an amateur who had never done custom color matching before. If I had been a push over, I would now have a very ugly floor that has a different color from the existing floor in the house. In fact, after most of the floor was done, BR Flooring came to install several boards on the stair steps. Despite the fact I already made a successful custom matched stain, they still used one of their off the shelf stains, and now 1/3 of my stairs have a different color than the rest of the stair steps. I wasn't home when they did this and I now have to walk on stairs with 2 different color tones every day. My last complaint happened 4-5 months later. My newly installed floor started to cracks. There are now spaces between the newly installed floor boards all over the place, most of the spaces are wide enough to hold the edges of 2-3 pages of paper. I suspect the floor boards they used were not properly dried. I don't know what to do and I don't know how bad the problem will get. I plan to leave it alone for a while longer to let the floor boards to settle down and then decide how to fix the problems. To be fair to BR Flooring, the overall project was relatively smooth (I had realistic expectations too). They were good during the sales process. The price was reasonable. The work was done quickly, and the workers knew what they were doing, worked hard, and were very helpful and careful when moving the furniture around. But I was very disappointed that they tried to take a short cut by pushing me to use one of their off the shelf paints. If I had listened to their advice, I would really regret hiring them now (and probably would give them a C or D rating). I am also disappointed by the many cracks now showing up in my floor. I understand a little bit of shrinkage could happen as the floor boards get adjusted to the temperature and humidity of the house. But these cracks are all over the place and quite noticeable. These two problems are both big issues in my mind in a flooring project, and I can not give BR Flooring an A review because of them.

Both Marcos and Wesley were great. The quality of the work is outstanding. When we had to move the project back a day they didn't hesitate to work through the weekend to complete it. Once we realized the satin (our mistake, not theirs) did not provide the shine we were looking for, they both volunteered to come back the next day! They moved the furniture again, prepared the surface and applied semi-gloss. Talk about customer service. Wow. I would never use anyone but BR Flooring

Contacted BR Flooring for an estimate and met with Wesley (owner). He promptly provided 3 estimates as requested; the prices were reasonable compared to the other estimates. Based on his rating and the initial meeting, I hired him. He stated that the work takes 2 days to complete and he and his crew will arrive between 8:30-9:30 to begin work. But on the first day, my concern was raised when only one worker showed up – no one in charge to explain the logistics of the job. I was concerned because there were a very large and heavy china cabinet and that needed to be moved. No way can this lone worker move this furniture. Feeling badly because he had no help, I found sliders so the furniture doesn’t need to be lifted. He and I moved the furniture. He was kind enough to help me remove the numerous items from the room and the cabinet. On the second day, I expected workers to show up between 8:30-9:30 since that was the time that was given. Instead, they showed up at 8:00am. I let them inside, but then one of the workers wanted to get to the fuse box. Again, no explanation was given on the process. My concern was raised again when he thought that only the existing floor was to be sanded and stained. I informed him that the new floor had to be sanded in order to match with the existing floor. Why did I have to tell him that? This detail should have been communicated to the workers. My concern was the handling of the heavy furniture and who was to return it to its original location. So I called Wesley and he explained that someone will have to return the next day. I was perturbed by this because I’ve already taken 2 days off work and wasn’t plan to take another. He sounded irritated – not sure if he was having a bad hair day or just didn’t like a woman asking him questions. His behavior was far different from behavior that I encountered during the initial meeting. In summary, this may be my first time in contacting someone to perform this type of work, but I have expectation as a customer. I expect the process to be explained to me in advance or at least that day. I shouldn’t have to keep on asking for the process. I am not your friend and I didn’t get the work for free so when you take my money, you should show some respect. Then he had the hubris of sending me an incorrect invoice – one that costs more than originally stated. Luckily, I requested everything via email to avoid any dispute. The workers did an amazing job and I would hire them, but I would NEVER work with Wesley again. Very unprofessional and argumentative once he was hired. I went through Angie’s List to avoid people like him. There are other people who will offer fantastic work with reasonable prices without the attitude. Hire someone else to avoid the aggravation.
