I called Bluestone Sat - 5 Nov - morning. John visited and provided an estimate late that day. Monday they did the job.

John's response to my inquiry was prompt, and I did not feel pressured. John took it upon himself to approach a neighbor about reseeding her lawn to help minimize the cost me. Part of my lawn was bare; and the rest was overgrown with dandelions, clover, bluegrass, crab grass, fescue, and other growth that I could not identify. The lawn was slit-seeded and fertilized. The ground was moist; so the slit-seeder left tracks on a neighbor's walkway. John tried unsuccessfully to dislodge the debris with a blower, as is customary. When that didn't work, he hosed the walkway down until it was clear. He also helped to position the sprinkler to ensure that the ground was adequately watered.

We initially tried calling companies that specialize in tree care, but they were all too busy to get to us right away. We've used Bluestone before to lay down sod and were pleased with the price and responsiveness, so we decided to give them a call to see if they did tree work. They were able to come out the next day to give an estimate, which was lower than the one estimate we'd already gotten, and could come out within a week to do the actual work. They did a exactly what what was specified and then emailed an invoice. Very painless and convenient.

Every time we contact them, they are prompt with a response, always professional, and always stick to the price quoted. I would highly recommend John and his crew to anyone who needs such services.

The experience was perfect. There was quick communication. They responded promptly to the initial call. They did a good job of working with us on the schedule. He actually sneaked us in early on the schedule because I had people coming in from out of town.

There was a lead guy, and there were some of his workers. There were about 6 of them. They did a very good job for a good price. They could have trimmed some things a little shorter, but everything turned out great. The mulch was really nice. They did it efficiently. When I said I wanted to go out, they were able to come the next day. It was perfect. They followed up with me to make sure that I liked their job.

They come one a week. I am very happy with them. He is very reliable and when you call him, he comes. He does a good job. His price is reasonable. Whenever you call, he is very responsive.

An estimate was completed within just a day or two of my initial call, and as soon as the snow was gone and the ground thawed, I received a call for service, making my yard one of the first in the neighborhood to be cleaned up for spring.

I called Bluestone on a Monday to request an estimate for removing at least one tree and trimming others. I was informed that someone would be in my neighborhood within the week and they would call back to set up an appointment. Wednesday morning I got a call from the company stating that the estimator had looked at our property the evening before and our trees were too big for them to handle. (NOTE: The shortest tree in our yard is at least 50 ft tall, and the diameter of each is at least 2 ft.) While I was not able to have this company perform the work on my trees, I really appreciated the quick response. I will certainly keep them in mind for future landscape issues.

John (the owner) had his father in law come out to trim four medium sized bushes and one huge bush in the front of our townhouse. John kept in contact with me, letting me know when to expect his father in law and he arrived on time. He was courteous, environmentally consceintious, and very professional. I am very pleased with the job he did and will certainly use them in the future.

John Cochran is a very professional contractor who is willing to spend time with a customer to educate them about the project and make sure the customer will get exactly what they are paying for. After viewing some of his other completed projects, it is obvious that he does a very good job installing brick pavers. I decided to go with another contractor and different materials due to budgetary restrictions.

He is prompt and very personable. He replied to my email the same day I sent it. He was happy to work with and I am very satisfied.

Incredibly responsive and punctual with both estimate and execution of work. Very tidy and professional. For large tree work, check to ensure a lift will be used instead of just a ladder. This will make a safer working environment.

Their lawn-cutting service is reasonably priced; they are reliable, do a quality job, and are easy to work with. I also engaged them once to clean out my gardens and mulch those garden areas: they used a quality mulch and layed down a thick layer of mulch; overall, a high quality job. This specific service was pricey, but worth the cost. Last winter (2009), they were very responsive to my requests for snow plowing.

John was extremely responsive. He came out within a day or so of me contacting him and gave me an estimate that was almost half of another I had gotten. The work was performed exactly as I requested and I am very happy with the results. I would definitely use his company again, and highly recommend them.

Great. John promptly returned our call asking for information regarding his services. He subsequently showed up on time to make the estimate. Work was effiiciently and professionally completed on the agreed upon date. We would definitely use Bluestone's services again.

They did a good job. The gutters were frozen and they came back out to see if they had unfrozen some so they could further clean them out. We weren?t expecting that. They sent me the bill online with all of the information which was great. We are planning on using them again in the next week or two.

They were a pleasure to work with from start to finish. Very responsive to our rather unreasonable request to get our yard ready for sale with only a week's notice. John did everything he could (and more!) to accommodate our requests and we believe that the gorgeous results contributed to selling our home in 3 days with multiple offers. John was very responsive and professional. From the initial quote through to job completion he and his crews were always professional and courteous. The finished work looks better than I expected as there were a lot of weeds and the soil in my yard is challenging and rocky.
