Bluestone Landscaping LLC

Contacted company approximately 3 weeks ago for landscaping services. They promptly came out and performed and inspected the job. They however never sent an estimate like they said they would. After waiting a couple weeks we reached out again and requested the estimate. We were assured they would send one that day. As I write this a few days later still no response.

It went very well. Response was immediate and work was done the same week. I think I contacted John on Tuesday. He returned my call very quickly and arranged to come to the house the same evening. He sent me the quote on Wednesday and Mark did all the work on Thursday. Friday I left to go out of town for the weekend. John left me a phone message about a yellow jacket nest in the back yard that Mark had encountered when he was planting ground cover. When I talked to John on my return he said that he had come back on Friday to check on the work and still saw yellow jackets flying around. Wanted to let me know that I should have them taken care of. Even though I thought the cost seemed somewhat steep, I was very pleased with the whole transaction. I would recommend Bluestone and I would use them again.

They are very dependable. The work that they do is good.

We just started using this company last month and we have been very impressed. Despite the rain, they've kept to a weekly schedule and the lawn looks great. They also do an excellent job sweeping up the sidewalks, driveway and deck afterwards (unlike our previous lawn care service). They even came out to mow today (Independence Day) because they were behind schedule with all the rain!

Just after I gave them a very poor review for not contacting me in a timely fashion, we finally got in contact. The owner dispatched his father-in-law, with the mulch and appropriate tools. The quantity of mulch they brought looked small, but turned out to be exactly right. The man was energetic, flexible, and efficient. Had they done this all a week earlier they would have received an A rating. I give them an overall B considering the entire project, including thge awful beginning.

My lot has a sloped driveway from an adjacent flag lot along the entire length of one side. Poor design and grading by the builder resulted in heavy surface runoff and subsequent erosion across much of the back yard. A slightly raised and crowned bed had originally been created 25 years ago to control stormwater runoff and channel it toward the side and front of the property. Over time, the bed has settled and runoff has once again begun to channel through the bed and cause erosion under the deck and along the rear foundation. Mr. Cochran proposed using additional topsoil to raise, reform and slightly lengthen the original bed. I also requested mulching of all floral beds in the rear, side, and front yard.. I received an estimate within 2 days and I responded immediately for him to begin at any time... Work was performed within 10 days... I was extremely impressed with the appearance of the yard.. I can not recall it ever having looked this nice.. The price was fair and I would not hesitate to recommend this company to anyone... However, be advised to get your work requests in early... They are extremely busy in the spring..

I have worked with a few landscaping companies over the years, and Bluestone is the most professional. We first hired them last year after our previous landscaper moved. They gave us a great price, and they do high-quality work. We had let our yard get overgrown and Bluestone made it look as perfect as when we had first bought the house! They communicate through email. I send an email when I want something new done, and John replies quickly with a price. They send the bill monthly by email, which is convenient. I just have my bank's bill pay send them a check. Our yard always looks beautiful. They usually come the same day every week, except when weekly mowing is unnecessary. They finish the job in 1/3 the time of our previous landscapers and do a better job. We are very pleased with their work and highly recommend them.

Bluestone came out and provided a reasonable estimate for the work the day after I called. The following week, as promised, the crew arrived and removed the shrubs, including digging out some very well established roots. Did a thorough job of cleaning the work site afterwards, removing all debris.

We just bought a house where the yard had been neglected for years, but it has huge potential. John's team did in one day what would have taken us all month to do--lawn treated, hedges trimmed and clippings removed, flower beds weeded, a dump truck full of mulch spread. They worked very hard all day and even finished up in the pouring rain. Now I can enjoy the yard and my weekends.

John came right on time for the estimate. Listened to our requests but also offered his expertise. The price quoted to us was very reasonable. The days of the work were the coldest in over a year; his staff worked hard despite the weather with not complaints. The backyard (before it was almost all ivy) looks great and they did a really nice job. I would definitely use BlueStone again!

They did an excellent job cutting my grass all summer. I was very pleased..

I called Bluestone Landscaping because I need someone to take care of my lawn while my husband was deployed. John answered his phone and scheduled a time for quote a day or two later. He arrived on time and quoted me a fair price. For the next six months Bluestone Landscaping cut my grass twice a month and I received the invoices through email which I prefer. Most of the time my grass was cut I was at work, but I could tell it had been done when I got home. John was very friendly and worked me in to his schedule even though it was a small job.

He was so easy to communicate with and offered some great suggestions. He, Orris and the crew worked non-stop, and the results were wonderful. I highly recommend John (Bluestone), and won't hesitate to call him again for future work.

Bluestone Landscaping was great to deal with. They were repsonsive when providing the quote and the service. They were pleasant and professional. They seem to have a lot of experience. We would definitely recommend them!

The cleanup of the wooded area was a big job, and I knew that it would cost me a lot of money. It cost $1000, and mowing the lawn is about $35 a week.

My old mower moved, but by the time we found out, our grass was quite long. I asked John for an estimate and he quickly provided one. He started mowing the next day. They have been mowing our yard for a few weeks now. They cut the grass short and do a beautiful job. They have a few guys working at once, so they finish quickly. John has been very responsive in all of my contacts with him. He sends the bill by email once a month, which is convenient for me.

We had a big project for them to do and we were satisfied with the service they provided.

The conversation was informative. I only wish I had known ahead of time he didn't work outside of Howard County.

They were great. They did the work all in one day.

John was prompt to come over and give us an estimate. We thought it was a fair price, so he let us know that he could start the next week. His guys were thorough and polite. John stopped by several times to make sure everything was going okay. They cleaned up their work areas nicely when they were done. Overall, we were very pleased with the job they did.

John and his crew did a great job and my yard has never looked better. Very professional, responsive and fairly priced. I will continue to use him every year and am already planning a lawn rennovation with John in the fall.

Our gardens beds looked immaculate, the shrubs manicured nicely.

They were excellent. The person who came was very responsive. He came very quickly to do the work. He was right in the corner and he squeezed me in and I was very grateful for that. I rate them high overall and I will use them again in the future.
