Wooten Appliance

We contacted Wooten Appliance after having already received an estimate from the Sears repair people for our Kenmore Dryer. The repairman gave us some great additional information about our dryer which made the repair decision easier. He was prompt and thorough, even vacuuming out our dryer vent at no additional charge. The repair was completed on time and we saved over $150 from the estimate we got from Sears.

We called to have our built-in microwave repaired. Our model is both a microwave and convection oven. It had made a loud noise and simply stopped heating items one day when I was using it to reheat leftovers. Since it still had power including the internal fan and turntable working, I was fairly sure I had burned out the magnetron. The microwave is built into our island rather than hung over our stove, which made it more economical to repair rather than replace. Very responsive. I was able to get an appointment quickly because our house is close to the shop and they were able to add us to the beginning of an already fully scheduled day. The only slight negative I have is that they didn't bring the magnetron with them on the first visit, despite my description of the problem over the phone and the fact that we even discussed the probable cause of the problem during the scheduling. This was not a big issue, however, as they didn't charge us a second "visit" fee, and they were able to complete the repair within a few days of my initial call. Overall, great work, completed quickly and in a timely manner. I will definitely call this company again if I have any additional appliance issues.

The issues we had called Mr. Wooten about were the fact that our garbage disposal was broken and our dishwasher wouldn't drain properly. He recommended we start by replacing the garbage disposal, since that was probably our dishwasher wasn't draining. He was very polite and professional and we're thankful to have a working garbage disposal and a usable dishwasher again.

Wooten Appliance was able to come the same day as we called for service. It took the technician about 30 minutes to determine that the touch panel was defective. The ordered part took 6 days to arrive was replaced in about 10 minutes. the dishwasher works perfectly.

Yesterday Daryl came by to fix our dishwasher. He arrived in a company vehicle, with a company uniform. He was on time, well groomed and polite. He fixed our dishwasher within an hour and even leveled it a little which was very nice of him. The fee was somewhat reasonable.

Tried two times to fix the problem

He came out on Monday to check the dryer and saw that the motor was shot. Our option was to replace it or buy a new dryer. He never pushed the repair but we went ahead and had the motor replaced. He came out the next evening at about 7:30 and was done within an hour.

Darryl's office returned my call same day and Darryl himself came to repair the refrigerator within two days of being called, early in the morning before I left for work. It took about an hour and I couldn't have been happier with the service. He absolutely deserved his super service award.

Mr. Wooten and his apprentice had spent fixing the dishwasher an hour and they didn't charge me. They could try and see if they could get it back on correctly too, and actually it was very good because they didn't do any different that I had tried myself. They didn't charge me and that was awesome. They have accessible callback, they stay in touch, the owner and manager actually called me back on another call that I had made several weeks ago when I think the freezer was going out. I highly recommend their services. They would be highly rated for me.

I called early in the morning and his receptionist Stephanie fit me in his busy schedule the same day. Mr. Darryl took the time to listen to all of my concerns regarding my washer and the code that kept flashing. He gave me two possible scenarios regarding the draining issue. We both laughing hoped it was the first scenario and not the latter. After he assessed and diagnosed the situation it turned out to be the first scenario. While Mr. Darryl was taking care of the problem he also gave my washer a look through to check my other areas of concern without any additional charge. I was pleased with the service and it was all done with a smile. I am so pleased with him that I am using him to service all of my appliances that he covers.

Very flexible w respect to changing appt time the day before, in response to a personal emergency. The $99 flat service call charge struck me as a little steep, but the technician--Daryl--was very knowledgable and saved me money by pointing out why my washing machine wasn't worth repairing (excessive rust in the inner support structure). Very nice guy.

My dealings with Wooten Appliance have been a pleasure. Daryl is knowledgable, professional, and has real integrity. He arrived when he said he would, quickly diagnosed the problem with the appliances (3 separate visits over many months for 3 different appliances) and fixed them for a reasonable price. Just as importantly, Daryl was friendly, unobtrusive, and left everything clean and in order. It turned out that my washer needed a new motor and Daryl told me, honestly, that it would be a better move to buy a new one than to have him make the costly repair. I really appreciate his integrity. I definitely recommend this company!

After reviewing Angie's List, we called Wooten Applicance. Mr. Darryl and an assistant came several days later (we were in no rush) and looked at the refridgerator. He determined that we had a failed circuit board. The replacement board they had with them turned out to be inoperative, so they returned several days later with another and successfully replaced it. We noticed some inoperative functions after the visit, and Mr. Darryl returned several days later with yet anohter board and completed the repair. Work in our kitchen was done neatly and courteously and he patiently answered all our "Why?" questions. We morre recently (early March) has a hiccup problem and he returned to look at the refrigerator and confirm normal operation.

Our GE Spacesaver Washer/Dryer Combo started to emit an acrid burning smell while the washer was running. We contacted Wooten through the email function on Angie's list the following day. The office promptly called to schedule an appointment window. True to their word they had arrived within the window. Unfortunately, I had my ringer turned off on my phone and they could not reach me to let them into the building. When I noticed the missed call, the office called back. They were willing to come back later that afternoon since we were leaving for a week and had a washer full of water. Darryl showed up at the appointed time and was extremely professional. He explained the problem and showed me what was wrong. He also gave me a couple courses of action we could take. 1. Replace the belt as an interim fix and replace the machine at a later time. 2. Replace the transmission that was leaking oil. After a bit more discussion and the fact that the transmission is not insignificant to fix as well as the fact it's an eight year old combo unit that may or may not have problems with the dryer down the road, he advised replacing the machine. It was not financially advantageous for him, as they do not sell the machines themselves. I appreciated the candor and professionalism.

Excellent service. Stephanie in the office worked with me to find a convenient time for the service call. Darryl was there when he said he would be and diagnosed the problem. The cost to repair the built-in microwave didn't seem worth it (the microwave was 15 years old), so I had Wooten Appliance order a new one. Darryl was back within a week to deliver and install the new one. He was there with an assistant for the install when he said he would be. The job was quick and they didn't leave a mess. This is what all service calls should be like! Thank you, Wooten Appliance, for making my crazy life easier.

I thought they were excellent. The technician was here on time and did not even charge me for a question I asked about something else; he fixed it. His price was definitely reasonable.

Hired from an Angie's deal. My experience went very well and I will definitely use again.

Daryl came out and removed an electronic part of my oven. He shipped it off to a refurbish place since the part was no longer available. He wired up my second oven so I at least I had something to use. When the part came back he reinstalled it and just a few days later the oven didn't work. He came back to house and removed the part and sent it back to the refurbish place. And then the part came back and it didn't work at all. So he took it out and called the place and told them what had happened. Within just a day or two a part came back and it wasn't my original part but one that is even better. The only charge that Wooten charged me was for the first visit. I would definitely use the company again.

Daryl was very professional and friendly. He came over to inspect what was the problem. He had to order the parts for each appliance and return couple of days later to repair them. He then came back to repair the others because the parts took longer to get. He is very knowledgeable at what he does. I even left him in the house while I had to pick up my kids from school while he was fixing the refrigerator. His prices are reasonable. I would definitely recommend Wooten Appliance. Thank you.

We have been dealing with the range being down to two burners and the dryer having no delicate temperature. But when the washer failed to agitate and the microwave began to groan while heating food, we knew we had to bite the bullet and call for repairs. I found Wooten Appliance on Angie's list and they had good reviews. I sent them an email on Sunday night, Stephanie replied the next day to set a 3 hour window and Daryl was at the house on Tuesday. He called an hour or so before his arrival. He was pleasant and easy to work with. He examined the microwave and told us it would still work with the noise, but it's on it's way out. The repair would cost as much as a new microwave. Time to start looking. He quickly repaired the range and washer. The dryer needed a part that was not on the truck. So we would need to have him back to finish the job. I hadn't heard from them by Friday so I called and Stephanie said that she would check the schedule and get back to me. We were able to fit the repair visit onto our schedule for the next Wednesday. This time he called to say that he would not make the time frame stated and did we want to reschedule. We told him to come anyway. The second visit was a continuation of the first so the initial service charge was not repeated. Overall we were very happy with the communication, the service and the value. Wooten Appliance also had a Angie's List coupon! We will definitely use them again.

I called for the repair of a range and dishwasher on a Tuesday. My call was promptly returned by Stephanie that afternoon and service was provided on Wednesday. Darryl performed the repairs. I was pleasantly surprised that the services were minor. I was charged a service fee and the minimum labor charge of $20 for each appliance - not to mention that the technician reminded me to use my Angie's couplon! I would definitely use Wooten Appliance again and recommend them to anyone who needs an appliance repaired.

The service was okay. They did not keep track of the visits based on the service agreement.

Mr. Wooten made 2 service visits before concluding a new part was needed. Once the part was ordered he installed it and the ice is flowing again.

They were unresponsive to me after purchasing the deal after multiple attempts.
