Wooten Appliance

I used an Angie’s List “deal” coupon in order to diagnose and repair a leak in my dishwasher. This company supposedly has an A rating, but I can’t recommend them given my experience. Price - I was charged an excessive amount of $300 to fix my dishwasher. The coupon was $139 and included all labor and 2 separate visits by their techs. The rest of the cost was for parts ($130), taxes, and shipping ($20). I looked up the part later and GE charges $100 for it, so the upmark of 30% combined with the high shipping cost is ridiculous. Quality - My dishwasher is fixed. Had to readjust the dishwasher later since it was not quite seated properly. Responsiveness - The office is very difficult to get a hold of and required multiple calls in order to get through. Calls were not returned. Scheduling a visit was not quick; turnaround time was multiple days and would not be helpful in an emergency situation. Punctuality - The techs showed up during the stated time 3-4 hour window. We were told they would call to confirm, but they just showed up instead. Professionalism - The techs were nice and for the most part seemed to know what they were doing. Asked for receipt both times they charged me for work, however they didn’t provide it. The office eventually sent it over via email.

Really well. I connected with Wooten thru ALs find APP. I got several hits. Wooten was first. We scheduled thru the APP. I got an email with all the details re costs and timing promptly. The tech was on time and very professional. He performed a dianostic of the problem as a faulty ignition. He replaced it in record time. I am baking crispy chicken wings as I do this review! Working just as it should. Luckily he had the part replacement in the truck.

They fixed the issue at a reasonable cost but it took two attempts and a total of 3 visits.

It was fine. Kind of expensive for a diagnosis. And he wasn't able to mount my dishwasher.

Serviceman was late (not within the window). Lacked a necessary part (even though I had described the problem). Promised to return with the part. Didn't do so. I had to phone/email several times before a serviceperson returned (several weeks later). Again was late. Also, Wooten advertised a deal to do one major repair and two minor ones for the same price. One of the minor ones was just a matter of waiting for the washer to start filling. I was still charged. Angie's List should not take this company's advertising. It is bad for your reputation.

Fabulously, under dire circumstances. Mr Wooten came, quickly diagnosed the problem, and ordered the new part. He also defrosted the unit, got it back up running, while awaiting the new part. When it came, it turned out that due to age, the part that was now available - significantly modified from original equipment - would have required complete removal of the built-in unit, at exorbitant cost. Instead, Mr. Wooten assisted me in contacting a module rebuild company that took my old part and remanufactured it for $150. That alone was a huge savings, because the "new" version had cost almost $500. He then installed it and tested the unit, up and running like brand new! He was patient, explained everything clearly, made a total of three trips, saved us a bunch on the part (as well as LOTS of labor charge if he'd had to remove the whole unit), showed up when he said he would, and was friendly and professional from start to finish. Just couldn't have asked for more. Absolutely the only company to call, and this was our third great experience with him, over a period of ten years and two homes. First rate! Chester, my technician, was prompt and knowledgeable. Diagnosed problem within 10 minutes, but did not have the proper part on his truck. Through no fault this happened over the Christmas holidays and the actual fix date was longer than anticipated, about 2 weeks. Would definitely recommend and/or use again

Blockage of ice was cleared up so the leakage has not occurred again on the refrigerator. Person who came was very personable.

The refrigerator needed repair. The company was responsive. A part was order by the company. Therefore, repairman return to repair the refrigerator. I would use the company again.

Technician showed up at the agreed time and identified the problem and corrected it at the agreed price. Technician was extremely knowledgeable and suggested actions that I could take to avoid problems in the future. I would highly recommend them and definitely use them again!!!

Tech (Daryl) troubleshot issue and ordered part on day one and replace the part 1 week later. Tech obviously knew what he was doing and replaced the part and fully tested it in short order.

I called them three times before they would answer the phone. They also have hours that are 9 to 5 and do not accommodate working people. They were going to charge me $45 if it was after 5 pm. If this is a service oriented company, then why do they not care? I will hire someone else.

Resolved. Tech offered some advice for the future to avoid similar problem.

The technicians open the panel inside the refrigerator to clear the clog. Then they open the panel at the back of the refrigerator to remove dirt and clean the area. The problem was resolved.

Reserved a deal on Angie's List, the same day I received a message saying that they no longer provided the service which was offered in the deal. I'm not sure if this was an error on Angie's List part or the company's.

This is the second time I have used Wooten Appliances and I highly recommend them. They emailed me immediately so we could set up an appointment, arrived within the window and fixed our dryer. They are wonderful.
