Since it is an old cook-top, the part couldn't be replaced. However, the repairman was able to decommission the switch, which solved our immediate problem.

Oven issue went great. The fix for my fridge, which was nearing the end of its life anyway and was eventually replaced, did not work. However, they came back to follow-up on the fix, and replaced the new part with the old one, which they told me to keep just in case the new motherboard on the fridge didn't work. They ended up refunding me for the Fridge. Really professional, and very trustworthy, I have used, and will continue to use these guys for years to come.

They were not able to fix the problem because they needed a part that no longer exists. However, they were professional and prompt, and if I needed their services in the future I would call again.

Wooten demonstrated patience and persistence in fixing my washing machine. Wooten came three times. The first time, they diagnosed control board issues before the internal diagnostics would tell us what was wrong. The second time, we replaced the control board on the second visit, and the diagnostics informed us that a third part was broken. The third time, Wooten replaced that last faulty part, and the washing machine worked like brand new. Wooten only charged me for two visits because they guaranteed they would fix it on the second visit. I certainly needed their help in repairing my machine, and it took all of their skills to to obtain the parts and to fix the machine. Wooten acted diligently and professionally.

It went well. I can't remember the name of the serviceman they sent for the job. But he diagnosed the problem right away (ignitor), and provided great customer service. The part was identified and replaced in about 30 minutes. I was very happy with the work. I thought the $139 I paid on Angie's List included the part, but I guess not (have to read that fine print more carefully). According to the repairman, without the deal it would have been a few hundred dollars more. If this was the case, then it was definitely a good deal. Regardless, I would go with Wooten again.

I did not have a good experience with Wooten Appliance. The automatic defrost on our refrigerator wasn't working, so frost was building up in the freezer and preventing cold air from reaching the refrigerator. I had done a bunch of diagnostic testing myself, and narrowed the problem down to one of two parts. When I booked a service appointment with Wooten using the online form, I left detailed notes about what I'd figured out so far, in hopes that they would be able to use the notes to diagnose the problem and bring the correct part with them. I also called ahead, explained the situation, and verified that the technician would review the notes before they came out. When the technician arrived, I asked whether he'd seen the notes, and he said no, the dispatcher never gave them to him. When I showed him the notes, he immediately said "it's the control board, we'll have to order it," and never even looked at the fridge. In other words, I was exactly right that they could have diagnosed the problem from my notes and could have ordered the part ahead of time, but they couldn't get it together to make sure the technician saw the notes even when I specifically requested it. To make matters worse, I had taken the freezer apart (removed all of the food and the bins, taken off the back panel, etc.) so he could get right to work when he arrived. After he told me he didn't need to look at it and was preparing to leave, I asked for his help in putting things back together. He said their policy was not to put anything back together that the customer had disassembled, because they didn't want to get blamed for things the customer screwed up. I suppose that's a reasonable concern, but I guess I'd rather work with a company that values being helpful to customers even when there's a slight liability risk. So to sum up so far: Wooten Appliance sent a repair technician to my house, and during that visit, the technician did absolutely no work whatsoever except to look at some notes that I had requested he look at before making the visit. For this I was charged $139. When I called the office to let them know what had happened, the woman I spoke to was apologetic and assured me that she'd provided the notes to the technician. I don't know who's really to blame, but something is clearly dysfunctional about their system. After they quoted me a price for replacing the control board (parts & labor), I looked online and found the part for $100 cheaper than the price they'd given me. I ended up ordering the part and, since Wooten couldn't come out for several more days, I ended up replacing it myself. Everyone I interacted with at Wooten was courteous and respectful at all times, but in terms of providing competent service, they seem to have a long way to go.

He came and fixed the problems in 30 minutes. Screw was jammed in tub of washer.

The washer needed a new transmission. This was our 2nd call for service on it and the technician had alerted us more than a year before that the transmission was going. Since we chose not to pay $400 for parts and service to repair the washer (we have lived there for 15 years and the used washer came with the house), he recommended a brand of washer which he used at home (he and his wife and 3 young children). We followed up that recommendation with our own research on Consumer Reports, which agreed with his pick. We bought that brand. We are well pleased with it. He adjusted and lubricated something in the dryer and the noise went away. It is running just fine and he recommended that we keep the dryer because of the quality of its manufacture (dryer also came with the house but was a different brand from the washer). If anything breaks, he said he recommended having it repaired rather than purchase a new dryer. This is the third time we have used Wooten and they did good work this time just like all the times before. Typically, they offer a "Deal." We took advantage of their "$150 for repair of 2 appliances on the same service call" deal and it was well worth it.

Great! Tech confirmed that washing machine transmission was broken. As soon as he heard the noise he stated that the transmission was broken. Our water pump still worked in the washer but the transmission was kaput! As a result, no agitation. Tech confirmed that dishwasher had a major leak. This confirmed that we needed to purchase two new appliances which we suspected we needed to do anyway. It was confirmation.

It went exactly as expected. I had an Angie's list deal that included the diagnostic visit and a basic service visit. My repair was major, so I paid for a bit more labor plus, of course, the part needed. I checked the price of the part online and feel that what I was charged was extremely fair. The job was finished quickly and my home was left clean.

Excellent. Very knowledgeable staff who not only got the dishwasher working well again but showed me how to maintain it (regularly removing buildup of detergent and minerals).

The first visit was diagnostic. Rodney thought that a new hose would be needed. On the second visit, he was able to flush out the ice blocking the hose without breaking the hose and thus there was no extra equipment charge. This was the second time we've used Wooten Appliance with an Angie's list coupon, and both times we've been totally satisfied.

Communicating with Wooten to schedule appointments appears to be only done by email. The technician who was scheduled to come to our home had medical issues so I waited the entire time for someone to show up. Finally sent an email at the end of the time and received a call from a different technician within 15 minutes or so. He was able to narrow done the problem to two likely causes, told me his best guess (replace the control panel) which I asked him to order. I paid for the visit and he then left after saying I would receive an emailed receipt. The receipt arrived two days later with a small note at the bottom saying that the replacement panel would cost $1300 not the $250 he quoted. If I had not reached out to Wooten (again through email) I might have missed the exchange.

Responded promptly to our appointment request and scheduled us next day, which was the day before Thanksgiving holiday. Daryl arrived during the scheduled 2 hour period. Refrigerator required some additional thawing so he had to make a second trip that day. Not sure the problem was completely diagnosed as we're still having some issues, but we don't want to incur additional expenses at this time.

The repairman replaced an electronic board, but it didn't fix the problem. He was unable to fix it and refunded my money for the parts and put my old parts back into the stove. He spent hours working on this.

Problem totally fixed. I did have to pay extra beyond the coupon to have the problem fixed automatically and not have to reset or restart each time.
