Wooten Appliance

It went well. My only problem was that Wooten could not give me a window of time that a technician would arrive until the day before. I find this practice to be disrespectful of customers' time. I had to take a full day of leave for a short appointment because I didn't have enough information in advance to plan for a specific window.

Well worth the time and money spent.

The issues have been remedied. The technician was knowledgeable, professional, efficient and friendly. Over the last few years, Wooten Appliance has provided tune up services and repairs. Services have been outstanding!

The repair technician came out and diagnosed the problem. A part had to be ordered and came in quickly. I believe the technician came back in a couple of days to fix the issue and the dryer works properly.

Wooten came and assessed the problem and determined a part was needed, which had to be ordered. The repairman came back a couple of days later to install the part. It went smoothly.

Fine. They could easily have tried to sell extra services but did not. Very honest.

Service tech was great, very professional, apologized for being late, however I purchased $139 Angie's list deal and ended up spending that much just to have tech tell me the part needed to fix was more than the washer was most likely worth. Appreciated his honesty but Wooten should of considered just charging for diagnostic fee which wouldn't of been $139

Great. The technician needed to take several temperature readings in both ovens to assess accuracy. As it turned out, both were about 10 degrees higher than they should have been, so he made the necessary adjustment to the settings. The technician was thorough even though it was late in the day when he got to us.

Rand came just as arranged and spent a reasonable amount of time diagnosing the problem. Even though he didn't find anything wrong, he had a very reasonable explanation for the problem and its apparent self-resolution. Twice, he reminded me that I had a 30 day warranty on his inspection and that I should call back if it goes wrong again.

Excellent. They seemed to be the only local appliance store to carry Speed Queen which came highly recommended by the repairman. I had researched the models on the manufacturers website, but they helped me finalize my decision over the phone. They were able to deliver the unit the next day, just before seven houseguests showed up!

I contacted them in early May to schedule the work. They indicated they didn't have me in the system. It wasn't until I said 'do you want me to contact Angie's List?' Then I got an email that indicated they had found my purchase and said 'it looks like you need a diagnostic.' which had additional fees. I did schedule the work, then cancelled later because the whole transaction made me uncomfortable and uneasy. I had given them the voucher ID in my communication to them. It made me feel a little uncomfortable. I put all of the information in so they could look at the model #. They said, 'what you really need is a diagnostic which is $125. And then, $125 for ea. add'l appliance.' I feel like this was a bait and switch from them.

Perfect. Did everything as expected and more. Very professional and kind.

I contacted them online and get a prompt response with options for a visit the following week. I chose Monday, and Daryl arrived in the agreed-upon time window to assess the machine. I suggested it was the main control panel that needed replacing. After checking, he agreed. He was back to install the part two days later, and all is working well again. Daryl noted the dishwasher was more than 10 years old but a good quality Maytag and, with the replaced component, should have a few more years of useful life left. This was good news as I wasn't looking to replace it just yet. The total cost of the part and labor, with my $20 Angie's List first-time customer discount, was about $347, which seemed reasonable. The part alone was about $190. I appreciated their responsiveness and professionalism. Daryl was very pleasant and competent on site. I would feel confident contacting Wooten again for another large appliance repair and recommending them to others based on this experience.

Made an appointment through their website. Received an email for an appointment and the 11am-3pm window. I confirmed the appointment and they sent another confirmation back to me. Waited all day and a technician never arrived. Finally tried to call. No answer. Emailed and was told they somehow did not get me on the schedule. If I could be at home anytime I wanted, it wouldn't be a big deal. But I work for a living and scheduling a day to be out of the office can be difficult. Not sure a new appointment would be any better. Not taking that chance.

Cost to repair was too great ($400 just for parts). Wooten's assessment proved to be correct, so we purchased a new washer for just a little more than the estimate to repair our old one.

Wooten Appliance was great with communication and came right on time. Ice maker was repaired and repairman told me the old dryer was not worth repairing (it would be difficult to impossible to get replacement parts). The repairman advised me on reliable brands and features to keep in mind when shopping for a new dryer. I was not charged at all for the dryer consult, only the fridge repair.

They gentleman that came out was very pleasant, efficient, and very helpful with the work that he did and the useful advise that he gave me.

Wooten came in Feb to replace it. It is now April and they have yet to fix it. Rodney was great and a pleasure to work with. Other than that, the experience was terrible. The part they replaced it with kept breaking. They thought it was the hinge and replaced that, yet it broke again. This was after 4 trips to my home and probably twice as many hours to repair a hinge. Since the part was not replaced, I asked for a concession on my bill. This is what I received back from them. Daryl said that we apologize but the problem is with the integrity of the parts that LG supplies so therefore it's not based on our workmanship but to poor quality parts. Unfortunately there is nothing else we can do. The last visit, they put KitchenAid parts on a LG dishwasher, thinking that would fix the problem. It did not and they completely washed their hands of the entire situation. So much for customer satisfaction. Their website clearly states 90 day warranty on parts and 30 days on labor yet my dishwasher is broken and I'm out $300. After doing some additional research, I find out they are not a LG authorized repair center. I contacted a couple of authorized centers and neither of them could find the part that Wooten used to repair my dishwasher. The actual part that should be used is xxxxxxxB (Wooten used xxxxxxxA). They told me they would refund my fee if negligence was found on their part. We'll see if they honor that commitment. They suggested I take it up with LG but a) I paid Wooten not LG and b) If I wanted to contact LG directly, there would be no reason to use Wooten's services. In hindsight, I probably should've gone directly to LG, but I've used Wooten successfully in the past without incident. When you hire another company to repair and they point out that we were negligent in something we failed to see or do, then of course we will refund the labor. Every part that Rodney installed breaks in the same place. There is an issue with the LG parts, not incompetence on our end. We suggest taking it up with LG. In my experience with Wooten, as long as things go according to plan, they're a great company to do business with. But as we know, the true character shows in crisis. Expect the best and prepare for the worse.

Great--part was ordered and installed promptly. I've used Wooten Appliance twice, and highly recommend them.

Just like the previous time we had Wooten Appliance come out to our home, Daryl was extremely professional, friendly and polite, as always, and even though he was unable to perform services that were purchased in the deal/offer , he did identify the problem and extend a credit to us in the event we need to use his company again, which if the need does arise, he would be the first one we would call due to his honesty and professionalism,

Outstanding! We received sound advice on how to approach (repair vs replace) and we had three working appliances in short order. The rep was super knowledgeable and so professional.

Very well. Darryl was within the window that he promised and determined the problem quickly. He had to order the part and returned on Tuesday, again within the promised window.
