Wooten Appliance

The repairman briefly examined the oven and said that a part needed to replace that was in the back of the oven which would take 2 people to access. He then said that he would bring the needed part and an assistant. He promptly took my $ 99 for service the service call. Unfortunately I was not present when he returned a few days later. He explained to my wife that his initial diagnosis was incorrect and it was REALLY needed an electrical board. Mind you that no electrical examination was done on the first visit just a cursory eyeball inspection. He then explained that he would have order the board and it would take 7-10 business days. It has been well over a month since we have heard from the company. LET THE BUYER BEWARE!!!

Diagnosed problems with fridge and provided great advice on dishwasher, and washing machine, which were both starting to go. Great service.

The service call was definitely expensive for the actual amount of work that had to be done, but that's not their fault. I didn't feel like dealing with it imperfectly myself, and it costs them time and money to get somebody out to my house. I'd use them again on big or small jobs.

Excellent. Prompt service. Honest estimate for work. Was able to repair the dryer by replacing the motor. The cost was fair and well beneath the replacement value of the dryer Would hire again.

They were really good. I had them come in and fix a refrigerator. He came in and accessed it. Needed a part. We waited a week or two for the part to come in. I scheduled an appointment and he came in. He had it done in under an hour maybe an hour and a half. The deal was for the service so there were charges for the part. The part was not expensive, it was under $100. We are still having some problems but I do not know if it is related. It is not their fault. They fixed it. They did what they were supposed to do. I don't know what is wrong with it. It keeps freezing up sometimes. I don't know why it is doing it. It never did it except for every once in a blue moon. It has to do with the circulation between the freezer and refrigerator. It is a side by side and you have to be careful and let the air circulate. One can affect the other.

I was very happy with Wooten. They came to clean my dryer vent, and they were thorough, professional, and helpful. They weren't sure whether it would take one or two people to move my washer/dryer stacked units, so they sent two, but when it turned out they only needed one person, they only charged me what it would have cost for one guy to come. The technician who did the cleaning was very friendly. He talked with me about my vent setup and suggested changes to make it better. A few days after they came, I noticed water pooling in front of my washing machine. They made an appointment to send someone out very quickly, and the technician thoroughly inspected my washing machine. It turned out that, in moving my machine to get to the dryer vent, a container of water I had stored nearby had been squeezed and sprung a leak. He was very nice about it. I would hire Wooten again.

I tried to take advantage of a deal for my appliances. The first appointment was scheduled while I was on vacation, however, it was canceled on the day of because the technician was sick. Understandable. The second scheduled appointment, I was stuck in traffic coming home from work. That was on me. However, the next appointment, me and my housemates took the day off, 4 cars in the driveway. I was sleeping, but 4 people were upstairs WAITING patiently for the technician's arrival. I woke up and saw my cell phone had two missed calls from him. I returned the call and he said, "I was in front of your house for 30 mins and knock on the door twice. You have to make another appointment and you will be charged. I confronted my housemates, who were all sitting in the front room, closest to the front doors and windows and they said that was not true. Since that time, we've had four different contractors to the house without any issues. I haven't heard anything from this company to redress this situation. They have my money and I have not received any service. Our appliances are still in need of service. Angie's List, please help!

They came out the same day and serviced the refrigerator. The same problem occurred a week later. They sent the same man out again, free of charge to fix the problem. He figured out what he had not done to completely fix the issue the first time. Although it was a pain to have it occur a second time, it was nice that they made it right totally free of charge.

They contacted me right away after I submitted a request for service. I advised they bring a new motor for the turntable b/c I was certain that was the issue (which was the case). I was scheduled promptly. Darryl came out and did good job for a very reasonable price. This is the third time I have hired Wooten Appliance, and as always it was a very positive experience.

Great service. He was done in 20 minutes. I had another company come out a while ago and they quoted almost the cost of a new dishwasher. I purchased their special offer for $139 and it was well worth the money!

The problem was properly diagnosed and the correct parts were installed quickly once they arrived. The oven works fine now. I would definitely use them again. Also, another repair place did not want to even come out and check it out so again points for Wooten.

Great! The Tech was the best we have ever had! He was knowledgable and thorough and took a lot of time on our filthy appliances, plus he taught my husband and I how to maintain our kitchen and laundry room appliances. We would definitely use them again> They are now our go to appliance company!

I got a response to schedule appt w/in 24 hours and date of service within 72 hours. This met with my satisfaction. Prior to service call, which was estimated at approximately $135 (instead of $155), Darryl from Wooten appliance contacted me. He inquired about the problem and discussed investigating the cost of a replacement part. In the meantime, he suggested I plug and unplug the oven or use the circuit breaker to reset. He held the line while I performed these functions and the digital panel returned to normal. Before ending call he made sure I had his phone number in case I had a recurring issue. Although I had no actual hands on service provided, this response gave me assurance that if I had an issue with a large appliance in the future I would contact this company. Thanks Darryl!

Everything went well. The workers were very professional and made sure they shared issues that I had. Also, shared preventive measures to take to avoid having big issues.

Wooten promised a service time between 2-5pm. Tech arrived right at 5! I explained issue, he went right to diagnosing. Turned out problem was in drain hose. He resolved and made recommendation on another issue. Technician was a very friendly person and explained everything very well and made good recommendations. Would definitely hire again.

The technician from Wooten's was on time (on a weekend morning), friendly and efficient, walked me through what he was doing, and even gave me some maintenance tips. They're at the top of my list to call for any future issues.

The technitian checked the unit and indicated that the problem might be with the unit's front panel. After finding out that the piece was not available anymore he recommended it to be replaced. I was charged only for the basic rate for the visit. Although I was frustrated that the unit could not be repaired, I was very impressed with the professionalism and commitment of the technitian and of the company to provide the best alternative for the problem.

Tech was thorough and up front about the problem. He told me the compressor was going bad and it was only a matter of time before it stopped completely. Since the fridge was 12 years old he did not recommend replacing it. Said it could cost up to $800 to fix. Recommended buying a new fridge. Bought a new GE frdige a week later.

A hiccup or two with availability (they had to do a last minute cancellation) and that they ordered the wrong part which caused a further delay but they made good and handled it with professionalism, which is why I hired them again for repairs on my washing machine, which went smoothly. Would hire them again for future needs.

I don't have a dishwasher. He cleaned to cords under the refrigerator, I'm not sure how thorough he did.

The tech was very professional and quickly assessed that the cost to repair would not be worth it. He expressed dismay that the office had not fit me in earlier. The $139 thus covered only the diagnosis and no repair. He mentioned that Wooten could likely supply a new appliance and provide competitive pricing and probably fit me in the next day. Alas, that was not the case either. I did think the service tech was very good, but you cannot talk to a live person prior to the repair visit regarding your maintenance issue. They are so busy in their office that email is the only mechanism. If I had realized they would not be able to fit me in for four days, I would have gone to another provider. While I might use them again, it would likely only be for a non-urgent repair.
