Wooten Appliance

He comes when he says or he gets in touch with you if he gets caught up in another job. He is very punctual and reliable. He really follows through with things and you don't have to do any of that. If some appliance is broken, and he doesn't have the parts with him, he orders them and then comes later and fixes it.

We called Wooten around 9AM; they called Darryl (who was on the road) and he showed up at 11AM the same day! Darryl cycled the machine and correctly diagnosed the immediate problem (drain pump solenoid), but when he inspected the underside of the machine he determined that the solenoid and other parts had rusted out due to a leaking motor seal, which was an integral part of the motor and would have cost $250 or more to repair. Bad news, but he did a great job and was away by noon!

Let me begin with the professional office staff, the young Lady who took my call was courteous, accomodating and knowledgeable. She worked with me to set up a service date and time. Darryl called the night before to confirm and then again an hours before he arrived . I was able to go to work and then come home to meet him, cutting down on my time off from work. He arrived on time and the 1st thing he did after introducing himself was to take off his workboots not wanting to track on the carpets. He looked at the dishwasher and determined what part was needed and stated he would order it from the warehouse. He then went into my cold cement floored basement to look at the washing machine. My Whirlpool machine was a gift and I did not have the paperwork on it. It had begun to make a clanging noise approximateley first of the month. I have been using my brother's machine. In the meantime, we had a death in the family and I just couldn't face dealing with repairs. Darryl immediately assessed the problem to be the transmisson. He took the machine apart and discovered the three screws which shold have been holding the transmisson in place on the floor. Two had fallen completely out and one was broken. It appears the manufacturer did not tighten them securely. Darryl did, while lying on the concret floor. Once the screws were securley tightened, he ran the machine to see if the taansmisson was damaged and it was not. Being a Nurse and not a repair man, I would not have had a clue as to what really needed to be done. He could have told me anything but he told me the truth. He is a gentleman and a honest man. Kudos to Wooten!!!!! I eill recommend him to all my friends and family.

I have a gas oven I had little confidence in, due to a weird smell when the oven was on. Mr. Wooten told me the smell was not a gas issue, but something that can happen when the oven is not being used regularly (I had rarely used the oven in the past). He checked for gas leaks (found none), and when I asked him to give it more of a look-over to ascertain its general health, he also checked the connection in the back (it was ok), checked the temperature (was it within N degrees of what it was set to? it was), and told me that- though it was old, it still had more life to it and was safe to use. Though he did not have cause to fix something (since nothing was broken), I now have a large appliance repair company I won't hesitate to call when an appliance actually starts misbehaving!

I called the office and was transferred to the service tech who got an overview of the problem and then transferred me back to the office to leave a voicemail. I was called back in less than an hour by the receptionist and we set a time/date that was excellent for me. The service tech, Daryl, came out exactly when he said he would. He was very pleasant and handled everything in less than a 1/2 hour. He gave me an estimate for a new ice maker because what he did may or may not take care of the problem. He gave me the option to have him get the part and come back that day to fix it, but I decided to wait and see if the temporary fix lasted. All in all, it was an excellent experience and I'd recommend Wooten Appliance to all my friends!!

Our washing machine went down over the weekend. Have two small children plus two adults, the washing machine is not an option (we don't live near any laudrymats, not that we'd use one if we did shy of absolutely nothing else to do.) Left an email, but that turned out to be a problem as it bounced back. Called and left two messages, making clear we needed this thing back as soon as possible. I called them again on Monday, received my voicemails and apologized for the problem with the email (Mr. Wooten said he had talked to his web guy that afternoon after finding out.) Was able to schedule for a late PM appointment. Mr. Wooten came out, a really nice guy, knew what the problem was as soon as he saw what was going on, fixed it within 15 mins (a sock in the machine's pump - I'll know to look there in the future as he let me stand over him as he worked, in fact he encouraged me to), and it was well worth the cost of the visit which was minimal against the cost of a new machine and the aggravation of not cleaning clothes in a timely fashion. A GREAT experience, would HIGHLY recommend him in the future, definitely a "Go To" company in my book.

We called on Tuesday afternoon. Mr. Wooten arrived on Wednesday morning and did a thorough job of repair, explaining to us what he was doing, step-by-step. We would recommend him to anyone. Outstanding service.

Extremely poor online ability to contact this company.

It took several calls to the office to let them know I when I would be home for the repairs. I had told the office I would be available after 2:30 pm and the follow-up call from Darryl informed me he would rrive in a 1:00-4:00 window. He finally got the message and arrived at 4:00 which was fine for me.

Everything went great. The price was very reasonable.

I live out of state so I used Angie's List to find a good repair company for my rental property. I went thru a few reviews and came across Wooten Appliance. Everyone had great things to say so I figured I would try them out. I called the company and the receptionist was very pleasant and helpful. I explained the situation to her and that their was a newborn in the home (just the day before) with a ton of family in town for support so it was pretty important to get things back in order. She was very supportive and called Daryl (one of the techs out in the field) to see if he could swing by and look at it right away. Somehow he squeezed us in and mae sure things were running okay. We did need a part, which was in stock. since the frig was secure and non of the food would spoil he came back the next day to replace the part. From talking with my tenants, the company was very polite and responsive. They were very happy with them so I am as well..

This whole experience was great. We called the company over the weekend and they had someone at our house on Monday. Daryl was our repair man and he was very nice. First he looked at our leaking refrigerator and fixed that very quickly. That job cost a little more than I would have liked, but it wasn't terrible. Then he tried to figure out why our washing machine was overflowing and couldn't figure out the problem, but told me if we could isolate when in the cycle it happens he would come back. He gave me his extension at the office. We did finally figure out when it was happening and called Daryl. He came out the next morning and fixed it instantly. For this he only charged us $20. So over all it actually came out very reasonably priced. I would call them again without a second thought.

I have used Wooten twice in the past five years and have been extremely satisfied. The first instance had to do with my Washing machine and the second involved the dryer. In both cases, the cause of problem was identified almost immediately (the guy can dismantle the appliance as fast as a formula-one pit crew at Indianapolis). Perhaps more impressive was the consistency in his presentation of options for the repairs. It was clear to me that he maintained an appreciation for my cost concerns as he would layout the repair options. In the case of the washing machine, he could have easily encouraged me to have him repair/rebuild the motor but recommended that I bite the bullet and purchase a new machine altogether (which was the least profitable alternative for him). In the more recent visit to repair my dryer, he again identified a couple of alternatives for me and suggested that I take the lower cost option. Each of the two times that I called for the repairs, he was able to schedule me in on the same day! I will absolutely use their services in the future.

This was probably the best home repair experience that I've ever had! I called on Monday for an appointment and they came out the next day. Daryl showed up when he said he would and he fixed my problem in a less than 30 minutes. He was VERY nice and professional. I'm so happy I found them on Angie's list and I can't wait to use them again! Thank you Wooten Appliance and Daryl!!

My refrigerator/freezer were working sporadically. Daryl went out of his way to get here the next day (Sears couldn't get out here for TEN days), looked at the refrigerator and told me he was almost certain it needs a new board. He didn't have one, but said he would come back with one on Monday and if that didn't fix it, he'd reimburse me for the board. He showed up as promised on Monday, replaced the board (and confirmed that the old one had burned out). He only charged me one service call fee (less the $25 Angie's list coupon!). He was prompt, courteous and professional. I would not hesitate to recommend him.

When making the appointment, I described the problem and gave the make of the dryer. That evening, I got a call from Daryl letting me know the approximate time of his arrival the next morning. He was a bit later than his estimate but not enough to be problematic. Once at the house, he quickly diagnosed the problem and repaired it. He offered to sweep the space behind and beneath the dryer while it was out from its space! He also suggested two options for addressing a problem with the washing machine: a cheaper one I can try on my own, and a more expensive one that will require him to come back. I appreciated his candor on the two options.

Our Sear's Kenmore Whirlpool washer was showing an SL code, and seemed to be struggling to drain and properly complete the cycle. After some scheduling issues with Sear's Home, we called Wooten and they were able to respond in 2 business days (they were working on Presidents Day, which was good for us!). Darryl arrived on time, was professional and courteous, and after a brief history, he went to work on the washer. After running a cycle with no apparent issues, and evaluating the pump and motors as being OK. Essentially, Darryl couldn't find an issue, except that perhaps there was too much soap residue. We had a $25 coupon from Angies, and he gave us an additional military discount since we're Active Duty Navy. I was impressed with his knowledge and professionalism as we talked about several related things while waiting for the washer to run. We've previously used a larger appliance repair company, but have been looking for a smaller, more responsive, less expensive and more competent repair service overall. I believe strongly we've found a great candidate in Wooten, and plan to use them again in the future. Update (April/May 2011): After not finding a problem on diagnostics, the washer continued to have problems sensing load levels and filling properly. We called Wooten again, and Darryl came out and brought several parts with him. He put a new board in it, and checked some other valves. It appeared to maybe be fixed, but over the next week, the same issues cropped up. Finally, Darryl gave up, and we ended up buying a new machine, but for 3 visits, and several parts, he never charged more than the original visit fee, which we thought was pretty outstanding, considering the time and energy he spent. Darryl seems to truly care about his customers and whats in their best interest, and we have recommended him to some friends already. He may not be the biggest company around, but we strongly feel he offers great service at very fair prices.

Excellent professional service technician. Rapidly diagnosed the problem and offered an estimate to repair as well as measures to be taken to ensure that it did not occur again.

They were very accommodating. They arrived on time. They got straight to business.

The technician listened well, and when I asked if something needed to be repaired, he said it would be fine for a few more years ? no real push to provide unnecessary service.

Identified the problem quickly and replaced fuse. Gave additional feedback on dryer models for future purchase.

Referred Wooten Appliance to my son, whose refrigerator wasn't working properly. He called and got a quick appt and who brought all the parts necessary to fix. It was the main mother board that needed to be replaced, plus another part and he happened to have everything necessary to complete in one trip. My son called immediatley after repair was done and told me how great the service was and how professional the service person had been. He wanted me to make sure I passed along the excellent service rendered!!

The scheduler took my information, including make and model of my stove and the part number since I thought it might be the igniter. The night before, Darryl confirmed he would have the part and gave me a two hour window. He arrived promptly at the beginning of the two hour window and began to work to confirm that it was a burned out igniter and to replace it. He was very personable, and considerate (taking his shoes off at the door even to spare my carpet) and clearly knows the repair business. I would definitely contact him again.

He was responsive and professional. He was very capable and solved the problem at a very reasonable price. The job went very well. I think he can fix anything. He is absolutely terrific and just a great person. I received an Angie's List discount too. I would ask people to call him first to fix any broken appliances. I would highly recommend him.

He came a few days after I called him and diagnosed the problem. Two days later he returned with the part and fixed the dishwasher. He was very pleasant and did a great job in a timely manner for a reasonable price!
