Wooten Appliance

My refrigerator was leaking sporadically over several days. Mr. Wooten quickly identified the source of the problem and cleaned a clogged tube. I really appreciated that he did not try to "upsell" me because I really didn't know what was causing the issue and would have guessed that the repair was going to be much more time consuming and costly than it was. He honored my Angie's List coupon. He was prompt, courteous, very professional, efficient and highly competent. I would not hesitate to contact him in the event of another appliance problem.

Daryl was prompt and polite. On time, kept me informed. I'd strongly recommend Wooten appliances.

Washing machine was making screeching noise during spin cycle. Darryl Wooten (sole proprietor) arrived on time as scheduled, but was unable to find a problem or even to reproduce it. So he charged me the minimum for a service visit. But while he was there, he cleaned out my dryer vent and replaced the hose at no extra labor charge. I would absolutely use him again. He's not just competent - he's very nice too and a joy to work with.

The owner of the company answered the phone and promptly made an appt to come to my home (within one day). He was the only repair shop I could find who would even bother with a small appliance like a microwave. He was here promptly at 8am (the start time he arranged) and by 8:20 he had diagnosed the problems for both repairs. He knew exactly what he was doing, and has a great deal of experience. He was so pleasant to have in our home. When he found out I was with Angie's list, he discounted my bill voluntarily (it was already ridiculously low). He was neat with his work, and even removed and replaced all of the food in my freezer and left no crumbs. He was friendly to all of the children and animals here as well. He was willing to take extra time and share some ideas for me to control the mildew in my upright washer downstairs for free. He ordered the additional part I needed for my microwave, and will be back soon. I only wish he worked on cars too!!! I have already told everyone I can think of about him. He is a wonderful man to work with and stands by all of his work. We will certainly use him again should we need any repairs on anything. He is excellent!!!

They were prompt and quickly assessed that we could replace the fridge (and get a warranty), for less than the cost to fix it. Evidently the compressor was not functioning. We paid for the service call, but that was it. Technician seemed knowledgeable and friendly.

The lady answered the phone was very professional and pleasant to talk to. I called to set up an appointment for someone to fix my appliances. A date was set, but she called me right after to let me know they don't service my particular area. That was not good to hear, but I do like the fact that she at least called to notify me. Communication and responsiveness can go a long way. overall pretty good based on a simple phone conversation.

Technician arrived at designated time, diagnosed problem with both professional grade washer and dryer. Ordered the parts and returned the next day for installation. Service was very professional. Kept the area clean while working. Worked with Beltsville office. (Service was performed at my parents home.)

I was very satisfied with the whole experience (except that whoever installed the washer in the first place should have done their job correctly). Very glad I called Wooten because of their professionalism, prompt response and knowledge.

I called Wooten Appliance for my front load HE washer. Washer would not spin. Of course the washer worked fine when Darryl the techncian arrived. he ran diagnostics and said that if it happened again I would need to replace the ckt board. Two days later washer would not get through spin cycle and I called Wooten's App around 7pm. Darryl advised he would pick up th part and deliver next day. Darryl arrived, installed unit and back in business. He was very professional. He scheduled me at the last minute and was able to fit me in late in the evening. There was also a coupon on Angie's List for Wooten Appliance...

Within 24 hours of my call for service, Darryl arrived at the exact prearranged time. The door of my dishwasher would not open all the way. He diagnosed the problem with the dishwasher door hinge, took the door off to make the necessary adjustment, and fixed it so the door opens and closes properly again. He also checked the filter in the bottom of the dishwasher and cleaned it, then checked and cleaned the compressor unit of my Sub-Zero refrigerator-freezer.

He was rated highly on Angieslist. So I emailed him and he was out the next day. He diagnosed the problem and told me that there was no point in repairing the washer. He only charged me half the rate to come out. As a result I was able to avoid having Sears come out for a fixed charge. He was in and out in a hurry. He left me a bill as I was on the phone the whole time he was here. His name was Darrell.

Prompt, responsive, thorough, what more can one say? Wooten Appliance made a unpleasant event almost pleasant by the way he responded to our problem. He got the job done properly at a reasonable price and he is the one I will call in the future.

Perfectly. He arrived on time (on a holiday weekend), quickly diagnosed the problem, and had the correct replacement part on hand.

Darryl came out prompty on Monday morning 6/24/11. I got an appointment easy with no trouble. He quickly went to work and informed me that water pump was bad on my Maytag which explained the grinding noise that it was making. Unfortunately, he did not have the part with him but they had it in stock at the warehouse---so he would be back the next morning. No problem but I had a nagging fear that all was not going to go right. Anyway, he was back promptly on the following day (Tues 6/25). He installed the water pump but gave a final test and found the transmission was bad (not draining properly or spinning) He advised very bad news! He said because the transmission was bad, the new installed water pump would go very quickly and if we repaired the transmission-----so we were looking at a heavy bill. In fact, he confirmed it would be a better decision to go and get a new washing machine. He only charged us for a house call of $89.00. I was not happy about my not so old washing machine being a lemon---or having to shop for a brand new washer. But I appreciated Darryl's honesty and hard work---Just wish it had a better ending for the washer itself. I would use the company again.

Unfortunately Darryl did not have the correct part the first trip out, so he had to come back the following day. The only downside is each visit is a $89 service charge. He was very pleasant to work with.

I am delighted with the service. Mr. Wooten called the evening before to confirm the appointment, showed up on time, was courteous and professional, and fixed both problems. The price was reasonable.

I called Wooten, who had come out before for a different issue, in hopes they could quickly help. We called Monday morning and they were there by 3pm Monday and the frig was fixed by 4pm (had a replacement part in the truck). Darrel is wonderful and we will certainly be using them again.

I felt the repairman was very competent and he described to me exactly what the problem was and went on with the repir. No new parts were needed nor delays applied. We remained very pleased.

I can't say enough good things about Darrell! He can fix anything and will never price gouge or "over diagnose" to inflate the price. He is a true professional, as nice as the day is long and truly someone you can trust in your home. He has saved me tons in unnecessary appliance replacements at a rental unit we manage, not to mention in my own home.

Darryl was great. Called him at 8:30 am and he was at the house by 10:30. The reason no further work was done was due to the 5 - 6 year old GE washing machine would cost more to fix/repair than it was worth. We than opted to buy a new Maytag washer (will not purchase another GE Washing Machine). Darryl was very helpful, pleasant and professional in answering all our questions. I would definetly use him again. Bonus: saved $25 using the coupon.

Their punctuality was fine and they fixed what had to be fixed. The price was reasonable. They even told us that one of the dishwashers hadn?t even been hooked up properly when it was first installed and they corrected that.

The repair went well. For the repair to be completed, I just had to wait 4 days, but the refrigerator was working well enough during the time I was waiting for the part to be installed.

We knew exactly the repair we needed, so Wooten agreed to cut the cost of the service call charge. The overall price for the job was reasonable and they were very prompt and courteous in our various calls back and forth to arrange the installation date. The service person, Darryl, even opened up the front panel of the washer and cleaned out the trap, which was also helpful. Wooten Appliance was very easy to deal with and I would not hesitate to call them again for any future needs.
