FINK HEATING & COOLING

Tim Fink quickly returned my call (I'd just bought a house in Frostburg, MD and needed to upgrade the HVAC system). He was prompt in coming out to provide an estimate of the requested services and explained everything extremely well. I was comfortable working with him and we agreed to the scope of work. As this is a vacation home/second home for my in-laws, I couldn't be there to supervise the work, but I had no reservations about providing Tim with a house key and allowing him to work as needed. When he was finished, I came out to meet him and he walked me through how to use the system, what maintenance needed to be done when, how to change to filter on the furnace, etc. When I remarked that I'd need to get a cover for the A/C unit, he offered to provide one free of charge. The work was done quickly and I was very impressed. The old water heater was in the middle of the basement. Tim located the new furnace and water heater to the rear of the basement, leaving much more room for other uses. I was surprised at the small footprint of all the equipment and delighted at how efficient the system is (my heating bill dropped by over half!).

My husband had gotten a written estimate from Tim Fink about a year earlier to have AC & furnace replaced in our home. Tim was gracious enough to honor the estimate and even replaced the water heater @ the price quoted for just the furnace and AC, which of course, he didn't have to do. The guys that did the work were professional, prompt and did the work in a day and a half. They cleaned up their mess and took away the trash! Would highly recommend them, in fact, I did! to my next door neighbor.

See above. In addition, Mr. Fink discovered evidence of a leak from my furnace pipes in my garage. There was no leaking at the moment, but he advised me to call when it began again, and he would return. It did begin again, he did return and seal the leak at no charge!

After the installation and operation for several months, warranty work was required. Mr Fink felt that the entire unit should be replaced and went to the trouble of having a manufacturers representative visit my site and tried (without success) to convince him to replace the entire unit. The manufacturer did, however, replace the malfunctioning component, which Mr. Fink replaced in a timely manner. Some time later leak developed in the refrigerant tubing, which Mr Fink repaired in a timely manner at no cost.
