We didn’t pay them because we were the buyers. We had been looking for a house for probably about a year and we couldn't get a real estate agent to take us seriously in looking for a property and we were signing, we were ready to go from the previous house. We ended up with an agent from Patterson Schwartz & Associates named Sal Sedita and he took us to see properties that were exactly like what we were asking for. Whenever we asked a question, he would do whatever research necessary or he would have an answer right then. We even refinanced since then and I asked him a question that helped us make a decision on that. He was really sweet so I was very happy with that. Sal was a real advocate when we asked about how the house we were looking at sized up in terms of the comparables. He was very open and forthcoming on that unlike a lot of other sales agent that we encountered that really didn’t give us a lot of information and were really trying to get the house to close for as much money as possible, whereas Sal seemed to be getting the house closed at the appropriate price. I have used them to rent a property out and that is a different service.
