Mike and Tyler did a great job making sure our system was system was set up properly and took the time to thoroughly explain what they were doing and why. Highly recommend them!

Basement Systems USA resolved our wet basement issues! Workers arrived on time, cleaned the area at the end of each work day. They were polite and completed the job in the time frame as planned. The owner followed up daily. I would definitely recommend this company.

As someone who has dreaded going to the basement for 20 years, I am now incredibly thrilled with how dry and clean the space has become thanks to the excellent work by Gary, Benjamin, and Edgar at Basement Systems USA in Elkton, MD. These men were polite, respectful of everyone's time, left the place cleaner than they found it, and were thorough! Each step was carefully explained to me and confirmed throughout the process. There are no more ugly, mold-stained walls or beams; water runoff outside the house was diverted; and a new, size-appropriate sump pump and dehumidifier were successfully installed. I couldn't be more pleased with the professionalism of this team (and they finished sooner than quoted)! Thank you Basement Systems USA and especially to Gary, Benjamin, and Edgar!

After explaining all facets of the work he was about to accomplish, the Installer (Mr. Bernard W.) quietly went about his work. The results were truly outstanding - the new system worked perfectly, with piping thru concrete quite cosmetic in appearance. I could not be more pleased. Thank you for quality, top notch service.

Their literature stated that there would be dust and I acknowledge that. However, I was not prepared for the amount of fine dust caused by grinding existing wall treatment and mold. They did not use any dust containment device on their grinder and the dust was so thick in the air you could hardly see the wall from the end of the garage. They should have known about fine dust due to grinding and offered to cover up equipment and things in the garage or suggested I remove items or cover more things up. They did not use a vacuum with dust collection when cleaning up. With the possibility of mold and find dust in the air, I claim it was a possible health hazard and maybe an OSHA violation.

From day One (appraisal). I felt that this was the company. I had a few estimates, but they were not as professional as this Company (Basement Systems). The contract was all in a diagram and broken down. Not a hand written piece of carbon paper. The workers arrived for a two day job. These guys were professional animals. NON STOP working. Even at lunch time they took individual short breaks. Always two Working! Mostly all 3 working. I am extremely impressed and satisfied with this somewhat complicated installation. Concrete chiseled/jack hammered out for both sump pumps (non existed). Everything cleaned up and disposed! (SIDE NOTE) If having this work done, when they tell you it will be "Dusty", believe me they are correct! I hung plastic to block off other half of basement, that did help allot! They arrived on time, stayed late and never really took a "break". Work Animals! The Foreman of the job, stopped what he was doing to answer any and all questions I had and explained in detail what he was doing and why! Good People! Great Company!

I am extremely impressed with this company. They were highly recommended to me by my sister who used them years ago after she bought the house we grew up in. There was never a time when that basement did not smell damp and musty, and the paneling was getting eaten away from the floor, up, by mold. It didn't take a lot of rain before water would seep through the walls and up through the floor, leaving little puddles in places. It was a stinky wet mess and I thought she was crazy to put money into it. Long story short, Basement Systems did an amazing job, and her basement is now the place we have all of our parties and family gatherings. There isn't a trace of moisture or smell - even after the crazy amount of rain we had this past summer, which is when I started noticing that my own basement was getting water in it. I called my sister to get the name of the company. She said "Call them now. They are the best, and they are going to be busy." She is very opinionated, but she was right!! (I'll deny saying that, if she asks)!! Of course I wanted someone to come out ASAP, but they couldn't fit me in for three weeks. I was a little unhappy at first, but then I thought about what my sister had said, they are busy because they are good. So the day came for my work to start. I was told to expect them between 9:00-10:00, so I figured that meant noon. Nope! 9:12, there was a knock on my door and I was greeted by a man with a smile on his face and a crew ready to work. The foreman introduced himself and asked if I would do a quick walk-through with him to make sure all of my issues were addressed. We headed downstairs, and the crew immediately started bringing equipment and materials from their truck to the back entrance of the basement. I showed him where the water had come in and he explained what they would be doing. I was steeling myself to hear that it was a "bigger problem then he thought from what the salesman had estimated...blah, blah, blah". When that didn't happen, I told him what I had been thinking. He laughed and said that their inspectors (which, it turns out, is what they call their sale people) are very educated about their products and the work involved. He asked me if I had any questions, I didn't, so they got right to work. I peeked in a few times to offer drinks, etc, and they were cruising along like a well-oiled machine. They were all very polite and friendly,finished a little ahead of schedule, and cleaned up to where it looked better than when they started. We've had some hard rain, and after washing my car, I forgot to turn off the hose, and it ran for over 3 hours, right against the front wall of my house, and my basement is as dry as a bone! It was actually a pleasure dealing with this company - from the person who set up my estimate, to the crew who did the work. I believe they have integrity and I would recommend them, without hesitation, to anyone in need of this kind of work. I'm almost ready to have them back for my total basement finishing!! Just need to get rid of some of my junk!!!

Basement Systems USA is keeping my basement dry and giving me peace of mind with the battery backup sump pump they installed. My home tends to lose power during heavy rainstorms, so this product was an easy decision to make. Special thanks to Bernie who was my installer! He was on time, courteous, and knowledgable. We recently purchased an older home that had a very old Sump pump that sounded horrible. Pete and his team at Basement Systems provided us with a new SuperSump and an UltraSump Battery Backup. We are more than thrilled with the service that was provided. We definitely recommend them!

My house is located in a wet area and I always have water coming into my crawlspace, even if it hasn’t rained in several weeks. The moisture issues are compounded by the presence of iron ochre, which would cause the trench drain and sump pit in my crawlspace to clog and overflow unless I crawled back into it and treated it with bleach/chlorine every week. Basement Systems suggested a plan to install a new drainage system and relocate my sump to an area that would be much easier to access and maintain. They upgraded the existing sump pump to a triple safe system with three pumps (including a battery backup!) so I have multiple redundancies in place to prevent flooding. They also wrapped my crawlspace with a heavy duty vapor barrier to keep all of that moisture from permeating up through my house. I couldn’t have been happier with Javier and his crew, and my wife had no qualms about having them in our house while I was away at work. They called me several times to communicate their schedule, and took care to protect the flooring on the main level of my house. Javier was more than willing to work with me to route the sump discharge pipes in the area I wanted them. He and his crew worked very hard and put in extra hours to have the job completed on schedule in two days even though they ran into several unexpected issues. I couldn’t be happier with the quality of work, the professionalism of the crew, and the integrity of company, and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Basement Systems to anyone.

In children’s books, the story always ends, “happily ever after.” Home projects do not always end that way. I contacted several companies associated with “solving problems with wet basements” and was confronted with the problem that each company focused only on one of the problems, but my project involved not just substantial water seepage under the front wall of a 43 year old home, accumulated mold, installation of drainage at the down spout, replacement of the moldy and worn carpeting, and replacement of original ceiling tiles in the associated rooms (utility, study). Basement Systems offered services that included all, each service was clearly documented in the contract, and each was explained noting a range of prices. There was no pressure to sign the contract so I had time to consider not only which company to choose but also which available service best met my immediate and long term needs. I hired Basement Systems and was placed on the work schedule. A week before work was scheduled, I received a complete schedule and what my role was in preparation. When I had questions, Mr. Dave Ryan, project manager immediately clarified. The work crew arrived as scheduled, removed from the immediate work area furniture, books, etc, covered all with plastic, covered the floors upstairs with plastic and initiated the project. I was onsite only the first day but had no anxiety leaving the crew. They were carefully supervised by the foreman. A bin for the construction debris was so helpful as I began discarding items from the attic as well as the shed in the backyard. I officially began downsizing. The work was scheduled for one week but completed in four days. I was quite surprised when I arrived home on the fourth day and saw all the furniture replaced and the rooms swept clean. This not yet the ending of this story. While discussing the project with the estimator, he suggested hooking up my dehumidifier to the installed sump pump system. It was definitely not in the contract I signed but an important service given my current physical limitations. A few days after completion of the project when I answered an email and survey as to my satisfaction with the work completed, I mentioned this service. Without hesitation, Mr. Ryan agreed to hook up my dehumidifier noting accurately had it been in the original contract, it would have been done. I believe I have my “happily ever after” ending. If things need fixing or altering, I know I can depend on Basement Systems to make it right. In my experience, this is an exceptional company with employees dedicated to providing service.

We had this system installed years ago (after another company failed to solve our water problem in crawl space). It’s been working great ever since. The technician who recently inspected was professional polite and very knowledgeable. He took photos on his iPad so he could show me the system was going n fine working order. He even answeeed questions I had about our radon system.

Basement wall was bowed and needed reinforcement. Installed wall anchor system. Since my house is located at the bottom of a cul de sac, rain water always runs down to the house and over the years cause the earth to shift putting additional pressure on the wall. The installation was simple, they were as neat as could be expected and finished on time. After the installation, I started had some leaks at the wall plates, basement systems can back and resealed all of the openings. Alright for sometime but started to get some water seepage around the the wall plates. Basement system came out again and sealed the openings from the outsides with success, no longer any problems. Maybe if they had better sealed the outside openings from the beginning things could have been different but that’s something we won’t know. Bottom line is they responded quickly and made sure everything was done so that this problem was corrected but that I was happy with their work. For my peace of mind, I had a drainage system installed along the front wall, Basement system gave me a very fair price and completed the work in only a few hours Scott, operations manger and techs Jorge and John all were great throughout the process

The inspector that came out for Basement Systems was much more thorough and the other three guys that I had out. he gave me nine brochures on different products so I knew exactly what I was getting. they were also the only ones with a digital contract that made things very clear. the crew was also great. they actually showed up when they said they would and the job was done in a day and a half. I am very happy

My first contact was with a salesperson named Tim Schliegel. Tim had worked previously in the construction industry and from that work, had a lot of experience to draw on when evaluating my basement issues and recommending the proper solution. Throughout the entire process, Tim was available to answer my questions and address all of my concerns. The work was started on the day it was scheduled and Javier and his crew arrived every day, on time. They worked continuously throughout the day, only taking a short break for lunch. Each of the three-man crew was very polite and very competent. The foreman, Javier, was very knowledgeable, addressing questions and concerns in a very professional and polite manner. I did have an issue with where I had originally chosen to place the sump pump. I worked with Tim, Javier, and the project foreman Dave Ryan to get the pump relocation without any problems or concerns. I would highly recommend this company for any basement related work. I had checked three other companies and this company was far ahead of the rest. In my case, one the most attractive features was the wall restoration option this company offered. Other companies put in a drainage system and you were on your own getting the walls restored. This company offers a very good wall restoration option that is ready to paint. And before the wall goes up, an insulated moisture block material is put in place. With regards to the drainage system this company uses, its quality is far superior to other companies solutions. All of the other companies I checked with, just installed a generic round black drain pipe with holes on the top. This company's system collects and drains water in a much more efficient method. All in all, with regards to materials and workmanship, I would give this company an A+ rating. I will warn anyone having this work done to expect a fair amount of construction dust being generated during the process, so cover everything as best as possible.

Wow...the MoldX cleaner with Sani Dry XP air system changed the odor of my old basement 100%. The representative for Basement Systems USA was thorough and the application got the job done. Thank you for the excellent service! My only regret is that I didn't contact this business sooner.

Very professional throughout the process – from the initial phone call all the way to the follow up call after I had work done. Pete, the owner came out and spent a long time going through the options and ideas. Based upon this meeting, I can see how he has built a first-class operation. Perfect in every way. I decided to have them install a dehumidification system. Jorge, the installer was great - very professional. Explained what he was doing, cleaned up after himself, took the time to explain how the unit works and let me know how to use it. Really a nice guy. I would recommend them to anyone.

Great. They responded quickly, explained things in detail, provided lots of options depending on our finances. The product was installed timely and exactly as specified. So far the French Drain has been working fine however we have not have any major storms or flooding to test that out.

cannot say enough about this company! For years, the smell and atmosphere in my basement affected the air quality in my entire home. They came in and ripped everything out. They installed the zen wall, dehumidifier, and the triple safe sun pump. They did an outstanding job, solved the problem, and now I can literally sit in the basement and breath fresh air! Now, let's talk about the staff. Tim was my sales rep and he explained everything from start to finish. He even had a diagram on his computer and printed out on the spot what was going to happen. There was no pushy salesman work to sell me something I did not need, but sold me what I needed to solve the problem. Jorge was an awesome foreman and his crew did an excellent job! The job was done on-time with no mess left behind. Then there was Scott the service manager. He answered every question I had after the work was done and ensured everything was done to my satisfaction. Listen, I like to save money just like everyone else, and while they may not be the cheapest around, they do QUALITY work and do what they say. Plus, they are there whenever you need them. They are extremely PROFESSIONAL, and in this day and age, Quality and Professionalism is hard to come by. My neighbors were so impressed with their work when I showed him, he hired them to do their basement. Thanks for a great job!

Wonderful! They installed a sump pump in my old house. The man who came out (Jorge) was polite, professional, and cleaned up after himself. I was very satisfied with the work. I moved recently, and the new basement smelled damp, so I contacted Basement Systems again. I got their SaniDry, which is quiet and energy -efficient. It drains right into the sump pump, so I don't have to empty it. The basement now feels dry and comfortable, and everything I store down there in cardboard boxes smells clean. All of my dealings with the company have been very good.
