Description of Work: Recently I discovered that I had a basement leak, water was coming in from a crack though my foundation wall. I researched to see who I felt would best resolve my issue and employed Basement Systems USA. Their estimator assessed my problem and offered a solution with a price tag that I felt was reasonable. I did shop around, which I often do, before I came to the conclusion that Basement Systems USA was the best choice. They were extremely professional and accessible. Javier and Morgan, the two gentlemen that came to the house to install the system, were extremely conscientious. They made sure the job was done correctly. They were polite and the basement was left in impeccable condition. I highly recommend their services.

Description of Work: Provided estimate to create outside access to my basement with a Bilco door unit. His quote was double what anyone else quoted me, and according to line item, wanted $1200 to dump the excavated dirt in my own property. [Approximate cost: $15,000]

Basement Systems can not always be the lowest, but we guarantee that we will do it right. Installing new basement entries is difficult because you compromise the foundation and also likely cause seepage problems if you do it wrong. We do it so that there is no danger that either of those things will happen. Unfortunately, that drives the price up, but this is also why we have completed over 10,000 jobs without a single complaint filed against us. I would rather loose a job then low ball a job that can cause problems later. (PS. Dirt was going to have to be hauled away by hand 300 feet away - probably two days work)

Description of Work: The work was good quality as far as I can tell, but we didn't get a response to multiple requests for itemized invoices. We had an extra $5000 charge added to our bill for which we never got a break-down of charges. They also were bullies about us paying on the day the work was completed - we wanted to get our itemized invoice first. We paid, but six months later, we still have not itemized invoice. The extra $5000 seemed a little shady.
