T. Norris Construction

I would use him again. He takes a while to get the job done, but I'm a patient person. Financially it worked out because there was no interest and he works with you. He charged half of what other service providers charged. He didn't try to hurt your pockets or anything, he works with you. He finances himself. The payments were agreed upon. The money that other service providers charged was half of what he charged for the whole job. I think that the payment time coinsigned with when the would be done.

The deal was to pay every month with no interest. Which I have done on time. The job has not been completed as of yet. The chimney cap needs to be put on the chimney. The cap was put on but the chimney portion that the cap attaches to crumbled. It is part of a brick 1947 home so it was not alarming It crumbled after the cap was put on. It will also be fixed at no extra cost. Tom Norris is very pleasant and listens to what your issues are for home repair because he is also a general contractor. It just took a little long for the roof job to be completed. Would I hire him again yes I would because i don't have a large sum of money to pay for repairs or home improvements. He worked with me financially and for that I am pleased. Now if you are in a hurry I don't know how long it would take for your job to be completed and I am a very patient person. Maybe the job would not have taken so long if I factor in he had death and illness in his immediate family that took time away from the job. When he could do the job it rained almost each time he was to come out to do the roof. That may not be an excuse as to what took him so long to complete the job but i could not beat his prices for all the work I had done after he saw there were other issues that needed to be completed before the roof could be completed. I guess some might say he works on Island time (don't worry about a thing cause every little thing is going to be alright).... All in all I am pleased. On 11-2513 my dishwasher stopped draining water. I called Mr. Norris and he came the next day to to fix it.

Immediate appraisal, fair terms worked efficiently. Will hire again.

The experience with them was pretty good. He is one of my regular people who work for me and he did a good job. His price was much lower than the other people who had given me quotes. He was a sub contractor, and he was not on the list, I had called one company, and they were busy, so they asked him to call me. He did not remember that he was supposed to put sheet rock by the water that dripped down at one time, and it was in the estimate. My son noticed and pointed it out, so he said he had to get more stuff. The work was check by one of my other guys, and he said that they did a good job and he was professional.

For the first job (the roof), we were impressed with his attention to the work and so hired him to do another job. He was responsive and commenced the work just a few days after talking with him. However, we were very disappointed in the outcome of our deck.His price quote was very fair, and perhaps too low. First, the product he said he was going to use was not the product he did use. Apparently, he couldn't get the first product in the quantity he needed, but he made a substitution without checking with us and there was a difference. He put a wood top piece on the top of the railing, even though we specifically told him we did not want that. Then, he replaced it with a board that did not match the flooring color. The biggest problem was his work crew. They seemed unskilled and did poor work. The flooring was installed in a very sloppy manner, using the wrong type of screws for the material. The screws were put in haphazardly, i.e. not in a straight line and at different depths. The bottom line was that we ended up hiring another contractor to redo the work, thus paying twice to have our deck done.

I contacted Tom on Tuesday and he stopped by Tuesday evening to assess the work. He provided me an estimate and he said he'd stop by Wednesday to perform the work. I got home Wednesday evening and the repair was done and looked to be done very well. The initial work turned into a bigger job due to rotting wood behind the siding that also need replacing, but Tom got the job done. I could not have been happier with the quality and timeliness of the work. Tom is a good guy and I will hire him again for future repairs.

Tom came this past Tuesday afternoon, climed on the roof, took pictures of all areas of concern. Gave me a price very close to what All State insurance estimated. They came in next morning, worked all day and were done by six pm. They cleaned up and took the trash with them. I will definitely hire Tom Norris and his crew for other projects. They were right on task, They came in at the time they said the were going to, completed the job in the time they said they were going to finish, cleaned up, and the price was right. I am very satisfied with T. Norris, Construction Co., LLC performance.

NO NOT USE THIS GUYS After the roof work was complete, we noticed that Mr. Norris missed many of the rusted shingles so we asked him to come back. He has promised several times but never shows up. He no longer answers the phone or returns calls. Mr. Norris also does not do any of the work himself. He hires day laborers from the local Home Depot to do all work and provides supervision only when he returns after leaving them to work.

What can I say about Tom Norris and his crew? First, the bottom line: they did the roofing job well, quickly and on budget. That would be reason enough to recommend them. But that's not the whole story: Tom worked with me for MONTHS before we pulled the trigger and decided to salvage a rotting porch roof and turn into something great. He adjusted his estimate as I added details to the job. He even helped me pick out skylights and stood by my side as I placed the order. The end result exceeded my expectations. The truth is I was hoping all along I'd be able to write a good recommendation about Tom. He's the kind of guy your gut says will do the job correctly. I was just glad my hunch was right. I hope to work with him again.

I called Saturday afternoon and a rep came by on Sunday morning to a**** the job and provide an estimate. The assessment included photos of the areas requiring repair. The following Saturday morning the repairs were completed in a very resonable time and without impacting my Saturday schedule. I 'm very satisfied with the work T Norris Construction Co., LLC performed and would recommend them to others.

Immediately, upon completion of the gutter work, I contacted Mr. Norris to express my disappointment with the quality of work his company performed. Mr. Norris acknowledged the poor quality of the work performed by his worker. He informed me that he fired the worker that performed the work, since this particular worker had accumulated numerous complaints. Mr. Norris made numerous promises to me to correct the problem and scheduled a minimum of 5 appointments over a 3-month period to fix the shoddy work. At no time did Mr. Norris call to inform me he would not be able to keep his appointments. I recommend you refrain from using T. Norris Construction, Inc. to perform any type of work. The owner, Mr. Norris, is not to be trusted. I will be reporting this company along with The Whiting Company to consumer protection and regulatory agencies to prevent them from negatively impacting others.

I called the company and told them my problem, I was told that Mr. Morris would get in touch with me to set up an appointment time. He called quickly, came to fix my roof the following morning and took a picture of the problem and sent it to me. He was very pleasant, professional and reasonably priced. I could not be happier with my experience.

Great! They repaired shingles on the roof and repaired chimney flashing.
