Solar Energy World is a top-rated solar system design and installation company for residential and commercial property owners in Maryland, Virginia, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Florida and Washington DC. Our mission is to give more people the power to reduce their dependence on dirty energy to foster financial and environmental security for their children and grandchildren because we believe tomorrow matters. We have installed thousands of solar panel systems since our founding in 2009. Solar Power World, the industry’s leading source for solar technology, development and installation news, released their annual Top 500 North American Solar Contractors List in July 2019. Our company made the list again achieving a rank of 85 for total Kilowatts installed in the USA in 2018, moving up from our previous ranking of 117. We also improved our rank of number 24 for total residential kW installed in 2018, now ranking 15 on the list nationwide and have held on to the number one spot for residential installations in Maryland for the third year in a row. In just 10 years we have gone from installing 8-10 solar systems a month to an average of 140 installs a month, making us the fastest-growing, independently-owned Solar Installation company in the region.

Description of Work: Solar Energy World conducted a site assessment, filed permits, wrote design documents. Then, they installed Solar Panels on my roof and built electrical connectivity to the grid. They were knowledgeable, professional and courteous throughout the entire process. The solar energy system "passed" residential inspection. I'm very happy with the results.

Description of Work: they installed solar panels on my roof. Everything went well until I received a email from the MD Energy Administration informing me that I would not receive the 1.000.00 state grant I told I would get from Solar Energy World because my house is in the Dundalk historic area (my house is 86 years old. I contacted Solar Energy World on the matter and they said they have never come across this problem before and were of no assistance with it. I am currently working with my State Delegates office to try to resolve the issue and possibly get me my grant. You may want to put on your solar checklist for your customers to be aware of this situation and how it could effect there bottom line price of there solar panels. | Stephanie Kurgan

Description of Work: They called me over the weekend to set up an appointment to evaluate whether we qualified for a free installation. The appointment was set up for Monday, July 27th at 1:00 pm. They never showed up or attempted to further contact me.

Description of Work: SEw installed a 9.8 kW photovoltaic system on our roof. The sales, licensing and installation people were all top notch. The installation went smoothly, and their response in correcting a less-than ideal conduit placement in our attic was handled expeditiously. The system is performing as intended with no problems.

Description of Work: They performed a home energy audit through BGE's program. | |The whole thing took a few hours but it was pretty extensive. At the end we went around replacing old incandescent lights with CFLs and I was even given a few extras as backup. | |Overall I would say that it was a good experience and I'll probably have them come in again after I finish some of the work that needs to be done.

Description of Work: Installed solar panels. Have an excellent choice of panels and price ranges. Biggest problem was the sales team. Once all of the sales process was taken care of installation, customer service, etc has been extremely quick and responsive. A couple of warranty issues have come up with the products that were given prompt attention.

Description of Work: All was good to excellent. Work performed on time as promised, neatly and professionally. System works as promised. Getting slightly better savings than promised. Got all government benefits as promised. Getting slightly lower SREC's than suggested, but the market did collapse. Everything that was within their control, they did quite well. I have no qualms about recommending Solar Energy World. I have no qualms about recommending solar energy for home use. As an investment, it is great. As an investment in clean energy, it is great.
