S & J Painting & Remodeling

S & J replaced the floor tile, toilet, and fixtures in a bathroom, and painted and repaired the drywall. In the kitchen, they replaced the existing back splash tile with a new one, removed wallpaper, and painted the walls. The job took four days, and the results are satisfactory.

We were very pleased with the work S & J recently completed in our home. The team were very professional, respectful, and completed the work as expected. It's amazing what a little paint and updated fixtures can do and we're so happy with the final result. We'll definitely have the team back to do some additional work.

The team was extremely efficient. The house looks fantastic. They were friendly, answered my questions and made sure that everything was done to my satisfaction. The walls look great. Price was reasonable too.

Terrible. One of the worst tile jobs I have ever seen. Tiles were chipped, and uneven. Had to have them come out twice to fix tile issues, and finally we had to realize that it wasn't going to get any better. They underestimated the cost and came back and asked for more money. If you hire this contractor do so at your own risk. They were supposed to fix all imperfections in walls before painting, and had to come back to fix them a 2nd time along with imperfections in ceilings

They did an amazing job. This is the third time we have used Jerry and crew and we just love their work. We will for sure keep on using them.

S and J provided excellent service on our complete bathroom remodeling. We provided the design and provided the materials, and S and J did the work. Jerry provided the options for doing the work and we chose S and J because of his business model. New vanity, toilet, and tile floor in master and main; also added a shower enclosure in master . Paint and new toilet in powder room. Work and quality of workmanship on the main bathroom was excellent. However, quality and finishing in master bath is/was horrible. After 1 year I have cracks in the grout, have had to replace the shower control valve due to some white substance clogging the filter, marks on the new tile, chips in the new tile, towel bars coming off their mounting, shower pan not square causing an issue with the glass enclosure -- just plain bad work. They started with the master bath and powder room and did a good job on those.....though I had to get them to repaint the order room. However with the Master bath things changed. The supervisor was often pulled away on another job and the crew seemed more interested in having fun than focusing on work, The work crew was largely unsupervised during work on the master bath. It seems that they needed to get done before the holidays and decided t slap things together at the last minute. I've decided to regret the entire master bath and shower and will do the work myself. I do not recommend S&J. Very disappointed. Paid for Labor and same materials.

Our bathroom renovation looks great. Elias, the supervisor was knowledgeable, profession, friendly and a skilled tradesman. They were always on time and always put down mats keeping the house clean. They demolished a bathroom that was built in 1983 and a mess and the result was a brand new modern bathroom. They did tile work, plumbing, eletrical, installation of toilet and vanities and all hardware and mirrors. We love our new bathroom and would recommended this company.

Went great. S&J was very responsive. They even got the work done earlier then anticipated. Actual job was done well and service tech was helpful, attentive, and knowledgeable. He left the space in good order. Will definitely call again next time we need handyman services.

Work was done promptly, efficiently and very professionally. A little pricey, but worth the money. Very satisfied.

The owner, Jerry Dix, came to my house at the agreed time to provide an estimate for the work. Of the 4 providers I contacted for an estimate, S & J was the only one to give me a time and materials estimate rather than a firm-fixed-price estimate. I liked S & J's estimate the best, but had some concerns because the price wasn't fixed. Jerry sent a single painter, Joaquin, to do the work. Joaquin did an excellent job and finished in 5 days; one day less than originally estimated.

Great! S & J employees were very professional, and it was a pleasure working with them. My house looks wonderful.

Jerry responded quickly to my initial call and came out to do an estimate. I felt like he did a great job scoping out the work with me. The two guys he sent to do the work were efficient and skilled - a lot of windows and a lot of high ladder work. Victor did a nice job crafting pieces of trim where it needed to be replaced (a match wasn't available at box stores or Wilson lumber). The workers kept me informed and accommodated a few small requests I made. Jerry's estimate of cost and time was dead on and much more reasonable than other estimate I got. Stacy kept good communication with me through email and made everything as convenient as possible.

Everything went very smoothly. The person who completed the work for us was professional, efficient and very respectful. He made sure to cover doorways while he sanded and cleaned up very well after he was finished. He did an excellent job! We would absolutely use S&J again!

My experience with S&J was wonderful, from beginning to end. The entire team exhibited professionalism and a high level of communication, which made me feel very comfortable during the process. Everything went well. Joaquin matched the existing paint colors, He was responsive to all of our requests, He was thoroughly professional . He completed all of the work and cleaned up after the work was done.

Joaquin did a great job on the drywall repair. He did an excellent job cutting the drywall to fit the size of the hole (approx 4f tx 9ft). Then he sanded and patched it. I had some left over paint he used to match the existing paint color and he painted the wall that had been repaired. It was a very hot day and he was able to perform the cutting work outside which cut down on the interior dust created. I appreciate his work and after he was done, you could not tell that the wall had a hole just a few hours before. I would hire Joaquin again. Just a few notes to help out others: The flat fee was $450. The additional cost for materials was $50. He showed up at 9am and was finished by 3pm.

If you are looking to have your interior home painted, do not look any further than S&J. The work was done just as Jerry described it would, and for the exact amount of the estimate. The crew was professional, courteous and on time every day, and they had fun while doing the work. The walk thru took less than 5 minutes because the job was so well done.

It went great! My project proceeded smoothly so I’m very happy about that. I’m very satisfied with the end result of my guest bathroom. Nahum and his team did a wonderful job! And their price was very reasonable too.

The job went smoothly. Everyone was professional took care with the house. The job was originally estimate with 5.5 days but ended up taking 6.5. Jerry gave me a reduced rate for the extra time instead of the full days rate., which was very nice. All in all, they did a wonderful job and everything looks great!

S&J did a wonderful job of of making the changes to my upstairs bathroom in my head, come to fruition. The ceramic tile was installed beautifully along with the vanity, lighting, medicine cabinet, floor vent, towel and toilet paper racks. I was so happy to have the border removed and a fresh coat of paint on the walls. We had an issue with the install of the medicine cabinet and the workers helped me decide what to do quickly and it turned out great. Everyone who comes by my house and uses that bathroom tells me how great it looks. I just picked out the things to go in the bathroom, S&J are the true super stars! This was the second job they have done for me and I will definitely use them again.

Everything went awesome, actually - the crew was prompt and professional and completed the work on-time and on-budget. I even had to postpone some of the work when my materials didn't get delivered on time, and they were willing to accommodate all that very easily. Super impressed, I've hired S&J twice and I'd definitely do it a third time if I need anything!

This was a remodel of a small master bathroom which needed updating (house built in 1980's). I purchased materials from Lowes and S&J completed the labor. The S&J team were professional, hard working, and able to adapt and overcome to meet the challenges that came up with an old, outdated bathroom.
