Description of Work: Deck and gutter repair. Sent a person over for estimate. Scheduled work date. Showed up on time and had enough resources to complete the job in one day. Very satisfied with the quality or work and price.

Description of Work: Painted my hallway (2 story) entrance way foyer, Dining Room and Family Room wall adjacent to the fireplace.

Description of Work: Showed up on time and repaired our ceiling damage from shower leak and made the ceiling look like new. Would definately hire again.

Description of Work: The communication setting up the appointment was great, the painters arrived on time and completed everything I needed them to complete. One painter was very good and did neat work, the other painter was a little more sloppy, but not terrible. There was actually a little bit of down time for the painters since they had to wait for paint to dry, but they asked me if I had anything else they could paint because they wanted to be productive. Unfortunately I didn't have any other paint ready, but it was very nice that they tried. I would definitely use their services again.

Description of Work: Telephoned for a scheduled estimate for work t/b performed. I told them I wanted it painted before my enclosure was to be constructed. First, there seemed to be reluctance because my deck was about 8ft off the ground. Emails went back and forth regarding the deck and an estimate was given. I added a few things like prep work because my deck had been erected. A month went by with no word from the company and I then sent another email. I was told that the owner had been in an accident and had been in the hospital for about 2 wks. approx. and was not back recooperating. After all this and a new estimate which had doubled in price I have decided to forego this project with this company and have hired another company to get this work done. I was tired of waiting and going back and forth with them.

Description of Work: We promptly received an estimate. We weren't able to use the coupon deal in the amount of work we had done, but Jerry offered us his winter rates, which was appreciated. Work started about a week from when we agreed on. We had to have some clarifications along the way, but overall his employees completed what we asked. The main feedback I have is to make sure you include closets if you want them painted during the estimate. They cleaned up paint supplies, but left a lot of dust and debris from laminate they installed which was not vacuumed or cleaned. Otherwise, they did a good job!

Description of Work: I found S&J on Angie's List for painting the exterior of my 60+ year old house. I got several bids, and since they were the lowest, my expectations were that they would do a "decent" but not exceptional job. They completely exceeded my expectations. The crews were on time, professional and hard working. The house looks great, and they even replaced some damaged wood & caulked all the windows. I would definitely recommend this company.

Description of Work: Purchased a Big Deal and left a phone message to set up an appoitment. Received an email from service provider later that night asking for description of job and time to start. I responded four days ago and still have not recived a follow up call or email. At this point requested a refund so I can find someone else to do work as I am trying to get the work done this week.

Description of Work: Very nice Gentlemen. Apparently they just no longer service the area upon which I live. They indicated that they've requested to be taken off of the Big Deal Service offers previously but I assume this has not be yet processed. The provider mentioned that others in my area have contacted them as well with the same result.

Description of Work: Jerry is a good person. I had to do renovations in my Columbia rental. He was prompt and gave very good price. I had to use another contractor due to higher costs related to plumbing items. Jerry warned me that his guy charges higher fee. If i would not have those plumbing items, i think i would hire him.

Description of Work: Jerry's 2-man crew came and painted my kitchen and den in a single day with 2 coats of paint. They did a high quality job. Jerry is great to work with. I highly recommend them.

Description of Work: I signed up for the painter/remodeling for the day BIG DEAL and was very excited to get painting & small projects completed at my place. S&J contacted me immediately, however, informed me that they do NOT service the FREDERICK area. This is despite Angie's List details showing that they are servicing the area. BIG let down but appreciated the prompt response and Angie's List reimbursed me within 2 weeks.
