Jerry was good at the estimate - came out to look and was somewhat knowledgeable - but stated he "was not a handyman - so handyman might find more wrong with it." The estimate was for half a day - but due to problems discovered early in the process - handyman stayed the whole day. He was upfront about issues he discovered - and stated that some of the time would be waiting for drywall to dry (which is understandable). Instead of sticking by the estimate (which would have added $75 an hour beyond the first 4) - he only charged their flat rate for the day - which was cheaper. The job was completely finished by the time he left, sanded and sealed and looks like it was always there. He did run out of caulking at the end - but was very upfront about it (and ended up borrowing some that I happened to have around the house). Overall, a wholly professional experience that helped to wash to previous UNPROFESSIONAL contractor's taste out of my mouth and reaffirmed my faith in the species. I will definitely use them again, as he stated there is "no job too small" - and there are a lot of small jobs around this house. Thank you S&J for a great contractors experience. In a nutshell, they truly treated our house as if they were working on their own. They took care in protecting our house while painting and they paid attention to detail. Their handyman was amazing. I was able to talk through some ideas with him and he made recommendations that made sense. They were responsive via phone and email. Price, yes it matters. They were not rock-bottom but they were certainly not the most expensive we were quoted. More importantly, they were a professional company with a full-time crew (the painters and the handyman). That showed in their customer care and in the workmanship. So we took that into consideration and compared that benefit when we opted to not just shop cheapest. We made the right choice. While the work was going on, a few neighbors asked about S&J and I highly recommended them. Hopefully, for my neighbors, they listen.

The contractor was very professional from start to end. The project is a messy job, but the contractor performed as well as can be expected. They made efforts to cover furniture and seal off other areas. Then they clean up each day before departing. I would definitely use them for other projects.

This company is amazing. They came very quickly to give me an estimate and were able to get started the following week. Any questions I had throughout the process, Stacey, was able to answer for me very timely. Very impressed with the two painters. Joaquin worked quickly and diligently to provide professional results. He mended surface cracks in the ceiling and walls in our home. He worked with both plaster and drywall, and both look great! After the repairs he painted for a finished product. We would certainly use this company again and would request Joaquin to do the work!

Marvin and Victor were awesome. They definitely exceeded my expectations. They took off multiple rooms of wallpaper. The ceiling had a hole where there was a light fixture I wanted closed. I was stunned when I saw what an expert job they had done. I did not expect it to look that good. The drywall repair and painting looks wonderful. They were so nice and true professionals. I liked it so much I want to them to come back and do another part of the house. I couldn't have had a better experience.

Their team is amazing! The painting job was so efficiently executed and the work is beautiful. The drywall holes they repaired to even start the job are completely invisible and it is as if we never had electrical work done before the painting. The team is punctual and professional. There's no mess left behind. And on top of all that the prices are very reasonable for top notch work. Highly recommend!

The crew arrived as expected every day. They did an excellent job communicating with us throughout the process and took care of things without needing constant supervision. They did a particularly good job with the prep - every surface was sanded and cleaned, and it is really evident in the finished work. They worked a full day each day and cleaned up their stuff every night. They came on Saturday to do crown molding and they did a great job installing and painting it. This is the second time I've hired this company to paint many rooms at once. I think this crew was a little better than the first one in the prep of the walls, but I also went with better quality paint this time, particularly in the bathrooms, and the difference is noticeable to me. Both times I had a good experience with the crew and office staff. The estimate was right on, and they accommodated last minute request for crown molding.

I was very pleased with S & J Painting Company, First, with meeting with Jerry (owner) and then with Jose (Painter) who was very professional and did an excellent job of painting my door and shutters. He arrived early the expected and told me how he was going to 'Prep" the door and shutters before actually painting them. I will recommend S & J Painting Company to others.

Not only was the painting work absolutely superb (4 coats of primer and paint meticulously applied), they were prompt, professional, and followed up several times to ensure that we were absolutely delighted with the work. We are!!

They were responsive and followed through on every aspect of the job from the initial appointment to completion. Quality work by two very nice craftsmen. They cleaned up the yard and hauled away all the debris. I couldn't be happier. I've already recommended them to a neighbor.

The gentlemen doing the work showed up on time and were very professional. The walls and baseboards look great, I'm very pleased with the job. Cost was $500 for the labor, the cost of materials was additional. I compared pricing with other contractors and this was very reasonable.

Outstanding service, but unfortunately the weather didn't cooperate with our exterior plan, and the job had to be delayed by approximately two weeks. This was not their fault, and the work was eventually completed....

They were able to complete all painting in 2 days (much faster than we could have done on our own) and it looks great. This is the second time that we have used them for painting. The first time was close to 10 years ago, and the quality and professionalism has not changed, it is still top notch.

I am satisfied with the work done and the professionalism and knowledge of the staff. Dustin repaired my shed and I requested him again for the "Handyman for a Day" service. He installed my garage disposal and light fixture, painted the area exposed after removing my light fixture, and repaired my fence. He is a valuable asset to the company.

The estimate was accurate. We paid a flat rate by the day. The job was estimated to take 5 - 6 days. It lasted five full days. The painters did an excellent job. They were prompt arriving every day at 8:30AM and leaving about 4:00PM. The painters were courteous and efficient. Their workmanship was high quality. They had very few drips. If we found a drip, they promptly cleaned it up. The painters were careful moving our furniture and did not leave any scratches or marks. Highly recommend them. We paid for paint separately.

It went very well. My house looks brand new. Jerry Dix came by within a couple of days of my writing them via their website. I had an original estimate within a day or two of that. Then I got busy, and they followed up with me. At that time, I made a few changes to the job (decided to drop the front door painting, but add the foundation), and then within a week after the updated contract was finalized, the whole job was completed. The painters (really nice guys - Marvin M, Marvin G, and Victor O) were here about 2 days, starting one day without me because I was at work. Marvin M walked around the house to make sure they got everything I had asked for. Very considerate.
