Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup

The plumbers Kenneth (3067) and Quenton (2586) arrived within an hour of my placing a service call. They quickly accessed the situation and gave me a detailed explanation of the problem and the cost. I authorized the work which was completed promptly. They were both courteous and friendly and cleaned up after themselves.

The master plumber Jeff was excellent! He was very professional and knowledgeable. You can definitely tell that he has great customer service skills. I would absolutely recommend using Roto-rooter in the future.

The service was quite expensive relative to the level of work performed. It was adequate, but not a lot of value there. The $79 deal sounded good, but they made up for it with exorbitant prices for parts.

I have used this Roto Rooter group four times and each time have been extremely happy. The customer service on intake is friendly, professional, and quick. They have technicians who can come out quickly, give you an appointment time, and keep you up to date on any changes and arrival time. I have requested the same technician, Pau Khai (technician 3722) who has worked miracles on my mother's very old, big house. Pipes in the house have been patched together over 50 years, are old, and are not put in logically. We have had hard, long freezes for two winters in a row. Pau Khai not only fixed the immediate problem; he untangled the piping, moved pipes to a warmer place, and got hot water into our attic bathroom...we haven't had that ever! He is extremely knowledgeable, goes over all the options before beginning any work, and keeps us up to date about progress. I have been looking for a good plumber...they are hard to find. Highly recommend Roto Rooter and Pau Khai.

It was good, we enjoyed it. They didn't do a great job when they finished our yard. It was pretty bumpy and rocky. They didn't smooth it out. They didn't take care that part of it. The work was done well but the finishing job wasn't finished like it could have been. I had to have the yard dug up and a new pipe put down. I gave them a C because of the finishing job. You could tell that the yard had been dug up. It was a nice looking yard. They could improve on their finishing up.

I needed my main sewer line replaced, and Roto-Rooter quoted the best price and warranty (lifetime on the new pipes). Jeff Hatridge and Jim Ward did a great job! They showed up on time, kept me in the loop regarding their progress and finished the job on time. They even worked into the night to ensure the job was done on the promised date. These guys also did an excellent job getting (the state of) my yard as close to its original state as possible. I was very impressed and I would hire them again in a heartbeat.

Roto Rooter $25 cost for $75 worth or repair is complete SCAM! First I could tell that the technician did not want to perform any work. The only positive thing was that he showed up on time. He then informed me that Roto Rooter charges $319.00 to install a very basic kitchen faucet. The faucet only cost $99 and the typical amount of time to install this faucet (American Standard Soltura faucet) is 30 minutes tops. This so called deal is a Scam and I will never purchase any service from Roto Rooter in the future. Talk about bait and switch. Stay far away form this horrible deal. I didn't have them install the kitchen fixture. I am calling the company to see about them refunding my $25.

The service technician (Min #1461)was very knowledgeable and did a very professional job. He wore covers over his shoes so that he didn't track anything in. He made certain that everything was cleaned up after he finished. After removing a large clump of roots, he requested a camera scan of the line to check for other problems. He was informative and answered all questions. A second technician (Joe) arrived with the camera equipment while Min was still here. He ran the camera the entire way out to the street and showed me the images and explained what we were looking at. There were no other issues.

They offered to come out almost as soon as I called, but I needed to schedule them for the following day. I had some conference calls scheduled in the morning so I scheduled Roto-rooter to come out right afterwards. Unfortunately, my calls got rescheduled, so the plumber had to wait about 30 minutes to talk with me about what he found, etc. He was very patient and reasonable. I highly recommend them.

I had an A1 experience with Roto-roofer and was very impressed by their level of service. I received a call to confirm my appointment perhaps less than an hour after purchasing the special on Angie's list, and Roto-roofer was able to schedule a plumber to visit the same day! The plumber, Josue was very polite and knowledgeable. Turns out the cause of my kitchen sink problems was a clogged U trap, which was drained in a few minutes. Granted I was lucky this time that the cause of my problem was easy to fix, but I have used Roto-roofer in the past and also had a positive experience then. Thank you Josue, Roto-roofer and Angie's list!

Roto-rooter was able to schedule a service call the same day I called. The dispatchers were extremely professional and accommodating when I notified them an hour in advance that I would be delayed getting home. The technician, Josue 3607, was very polite and professional. He was competent and somewhat knowledgeable; I say "somewhat" because he is young and I had to ask him a lot of questions to be convinced that he didn't just treat the problem according to what my regular plumber had said, but actually fixed the problem based on his own evaluation. However it appears that he did clear the drain. My only complaint is that the cost was very high and the office did not tell me their pricing structure when I called to schedule the appointment. I have never had the experience where a repair service charges a fixed, and very high, price for a service regardless of the problem or the time it takes to fix it, WITHOUT NOTIFYING ME IN ADVANCE. This practice is unacceptable. For that reason I would not give them an A in the pricing category, even if the cost had been fair. They charged $499 for a 30 minute house call which I believe it should have cost less than $300. I want to be clear that I used a $75 coupon from the Roto-Rooter website, so I paid $425 for the $499 service.

?It was a Saturday afternoon and I realized I had a seriously clogged kitchen drain. I used a popular drain cleaner, twice, but saw no improvement. I called several well-known plumbers who advertise regularly on TV and claim availability 7 days a week... none were available! I remembered the plumber that my parents used, Roto-Rooter, and even remembered their "jingle." Not only were they available, the plumber arrived much quicker than I expected. He was very professional and explained everything; including what caused the problem and how to avoid a similar incident in the future. I will definitely use Roto-Rooter in the future and recommend them to my family and friends!?

It went extremely well. The technician (2570-DAL) was great to work with and he made sure that both tasks were performed with quality and professionalism.

Nye was very professional and explained what needed to be done and what our options were. We were happy he came quickly since it was a federal holiday. He cleaned up the area after he finished. We were very satisfied with the work done.

The provider arrived on time. The expected work was completed professionally and with great courtesy.

When another plumber failed to show up to addess a backed up drain, Roto Rooter came out that night and cleared the problem. The tech felt the fix was temporary and there was another issue so he scheduled the guys with the fiber optic camera to take a look. Well, it was a broken pipe and invasive roots from shrubbery. They fixed it the next day and applied the price from the emergency call to the bill. Was it a lot of money? Yeah but I really did not feel I could shop around. The took great care to avoid more landscaping damage and the Interior work was cleaned up well. They also installed an external clean out. We'll done.

Charles (Chuck) was very professional, he explained everything he needed to do and he did an excellent job!

Roto Rooter arrived within an 1.5 hours of my initial call. That is FAST. Quentin was very professional. He checked the clogged toilet; asked to see the drain in the basement; encouraged me to run water and flush the toilet in the basement on a regular basis to avoid sewage back-up; and snaked the upstairs toilet. He advised me that a snake usually does the job and where to get one. His caveat was if the water didn't run in the basement or the toilet in the basement gurgled. The visit took less than 15 minutes. The problem was solved.

I really liked the technician and thought he was very professional and knowledgeable. What I didn't like was the surprised charges for labor. It seems that the coupon does not work as advertised and is misleading. The coupon is not exactly good for $75.00 worth of work. There is a service/labor rate sheet for the kind of work you want done and the coupon is used as credit towards the work. In my case, I already had the faucet and parts. To replace the faucet the charge according to the rate sheet was going to be $309.00 minus the $75.00 coupon credit. If I didn't use the coupon the charge would be a flat $150.00. So, basically I paid $25.00 for a worthless coupon. I authorized the work, but in the end the tech advised against replacing the faucet, because the bolts underneath were too rusted due the faucet leaking and he would have to ruin the sink to remove the old faucet. Since, I am in the process of working out a kitchen remodel it wasn't worth it to replace the faucet, so he he did a temporary fix by caulking around the leak. I was charged $50.00 out of pocket, because if I used the coupon it would have been $75.00. So using the coupon was not an option, because I would have ended up paying more out of pocket.

Went very well. One time and very professional.
