Description of Work: Repaired a burst water pipe in our basement. On a very cold Sunday our pipe burst. Tried calling a few local plumbers who were all busy. Gave Roto Rooter a call and a guy was out repairing our pipe in about 4 hours. Fast and efficient, while also providing solutions on what to do so this pipe doesn't freeze in the future (the pipe comes into our house under our front porch, an area that doesn't get heat from the rest of the house).

I was highly pleased with their responsiveness and reasonableness of the costs for the service provided in the middle of the night on a weekend. Description of Work: Roto Rooter found and cleared a drain blockage caused by buildup of dirt and dust in the drain for my furnace humidifier. I had a flood before, but Roto Rooter was the only contractor to identify and correct the problem. Two previous contractors only dislodged the blockage, but Roto Rooter removed a much more substantial amount of sediment, as well as roots which had grown into the drain.

Description of Work: First scheduled for between noon and 2:00pm the week before. Got a call saying the technician was delayed. Got a call around 4:00pm saying they had not forgotten about us. I asked to be rescheduled for later. Got a call Saturday when we were not home asking to do the work that day. We were not home and not going to be home until late so asked to reschedule. I called Monday morning and was told between noon and 2:00pm again. This time, the technician did arrive. He did quality work, but took a lot longer than seemed necessary and his English was weak - a nice guy who did professional work but just could not communicate well and seemed to take longer than it should have taken to complete the work. Quality of work was excellent. The advertisement was for $250 worth of plumbing for $79. Cost was around $280 which did include a few parts (PVC trap & pipe plus new hot & cold feed lines. We supplied the faucet set. I have the overall score of C due to a combination of 1) not showing on time the first time, 2) speed of work and 3) cost.

Description of Work: I wanted the water line (18 inches) replaced with a new shut off value for my water line for my dishwasher and four water lines (14 inches each) with shut off values replaced in the master bathroom. A plumber came out from Roto Rooter and quoted me a price that was $1,200 plus my $250 work for $79. I declined that service. I called another plubmer out from a different company and had the same work done for $350. Entire job was completed in 50 minutes. I really would like a refund from Roto-Rooter.

The staff were knowledgeable, courteous, and completed all of the work and cleaned up any mess. He did go over some details with me afterwards as well as some tips and tricks for future reference.

Description of Work: There was a misunderstanding of how the $79.00 Deal could be applied for the installation of a garbage disposal and I was quite upset....however, the Management Team at Roto-Rooter went ABOVE and BEYOND in ensuring that I was satisfied. On hindsight, I can see the error was on MY part. It didin't matter to Roto Rooter...it was more important to them that I was satisifed. They truly put customer satsifaction before profit which is certainly a rarity these days. After the job was completed, the GENERAL MANAGER followed up with a call to me. Would I recommend them...YOU BET!
