Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup

I did not like that no estimate could be given until the plumber has examined the problem. The initial amount was exhorbitant, but with the use of the ANgie's list coupon, the cost was reasonable. Considering that this was rather emergent, I chose to go ahead with the company. The plumber was efficient, polite and organized.

The Roto Rooter technician called me and he came to my house on time. He was very knowledgeable and professional. First, he inspected the shower carefully and he went to his truck to check if he had all the necessary parts. Since he did not have all the parts, he went to the store and bought the parts. After that, he came back to my home and completed all the work in less than 3 hours. So far, everything is going well. I was given 3 months warranty for the work performed, which is more than the normal 30 days warranty for this type of work. . I am satisfied so far with the work done and I would call Roto Rooter again if I had another problem. I had recommended RR to my neighbors and friends for the work well done!.

The gentleman was friendly and courteous, he acted professionally, and he cleared the drain successfully. However, the price was rather high considering the scope of the work. Specifically, they charged 399 dollars for only about 50 minutes of work, and I had to be insistent in order to receive a price reduction.

On a Saturday morning, my tenant reported that the kitchen faucet had come loose and as a result, they could not use the kitchen sink. I called Roto-Rooter and a service tech came a few hours later. The technician replaced a new faucet and within an hour he was done and left. I agreed to the astronomical price because this was a rental property and I not want my tenant to be without a sink while I compared prices. The total cost would have been higher but my tenant downloaded a coupon from Roto-Rooter's website to lower the cost. I was not impressed with the company's ridiculous policy of taking advantage of an emergency situation to increase their fees.

We did have a small leak from our upstairs bathroom into a closet downstairs. The tech came out and he didn?t even look at anything just said they?d need to replace the pipe. He then gave us a $900 estimate. He said there is an offer on AL which can be used towards the job which we purchased for $79 for $250 Worth of Plumbing Labor. I called Roto-Rooter and asked if we could get a second opinion. They sent out a master plumber who did a very thorough inspection. He said we didn?t need the pipe replace and saw no evidence of a leak. I would possibly use them in the future but with caution. I would only use them if you have an emergency because they?re punctual.

The company was very quick to reply to my request, great costumer service and pleasant to work with. Company connected me via email, then called and book appointment. Technician arrived at discussed time and was very courteous. I informed the technician of all the steps I had already accomplished and it was recommended and price quoted for a higher level job than what is contained within the actual voucher. The final price for the repair was way above what was expected and I plan on a DIY project. Thank you!

This was a very pleasant experience. The technician know his job, explained the job and the cost before getting to work. He was in my house for 3 hours working diligently correcting the problem. Before he left he gave us ideas on how to eliminate the problem in the future. He was personable and totally professional.

They came in and used a snake and unclogged it and charged us a boat load of money to do it. It only took them about 5 minutes to do it. Will not use them again.

The technician was on time, listened to my problem, assisted problem and gave me an approximate cost. He was professional, courteous, and friendly. He explained how to eliminate issue in the future.

I went with roto rooter because of the deal for $250 worth of labor for $79. The reason I called them out was to inspect a leak coming from the bathtub that I suspected was due to a leaky pipe. Customer service over the phone was great and had someone out within 24 hours. The plumber was able to confirm that the pipes were fine (so no charge there), and that the issue was probably with some porous grout. Since I had already purchased the deal, I had the plumber replace the ball on the end of our shower head arm with a threaded piece and replace the shower head. I was quoted at $150, which I thought was a little steep for about 15 minutes of work, but the deal took care of everything (I already had a shower head) and I didn't have to pay anything else out of pocket. The plumber was courteous, on time and was able to do what I needed. If it weren't for the deal, I may have shopped around a little more for a better price but the service was great.

Chris Zosanga was the service technician. Excellent job. Called to confirm he was on the way and his expected time of arrival. Showed up punctually, and quickly assessed the situation. Explained in detail what he needed to do and estimated cost. Cost was pretty high, but he did exactly what he said on a timely basis and for the estimated amount. Went above and beyond by cleaning up the mess for us as well as doing the basic repair that was required. He was very professional and courteous. Outstanding job.

I had a different drain service 2 previous times. On Sunday morning, my sewer line backed up again. I decided to call Roto Rooter. Chris Jones was the technician and I could not be more pleased with the service. He was there approximately 3 hours and used a camera to insure the line was cleared. He gave me suggestions on how to prevent in the future. I would definitely ask for him again.

I noticed a leaky main water shutoff valve in my Annapolis condo at 10 Pm on Friday night. Rotor Rooter was the only plumber of 8 I looked at that worked 24/7 and weekends. I purchased an Angies big deal for $250 of labor for $79 about 20 minutes before the plumber arrived and they honored it. Saved about $170 on the work and was very pleased with the job Roter Rooter plumber, Dal, did in fixing the leak. He replaced the leaky valve and 12 inches of copper pipe.

Mr. Chen the plumber was excellent. I highly recommend him and would ask for him by name when I need additional plumbing work.

I thought all I needed was a washer for a leaky powder room faucet but it turned out to be more serious than that. The plumber who came to the house, Jimmy, took apart the leaky faucet hardware and discovered the job called for more than just a washer. Faucets are more elaborate nowadays and I needed another mechanism with the washer for the brand of faucet I had. Jimmy went to several locations looking for the piece needed before informing me it one was located too far afield of my home and it would be more cost effective to purchase a new faucet than having him travel a great distance. I agreed with this assessment since I wanted the faucet fixed before my Thanksgiving guests arrived. He met me a the local Home Depot where I purchased a new bathroom faucet and he took it from there. Jimmy did a great job with the replacement and cleaned up the bathroom before leaving. I truly appreciated his professionalism as well as his ability to complete the task in time.

Thanksgiving morning when the kitchen sink was clogged and would not unclog without a plumber. Luckily Roto Rooter works on holidays and this was the holiday that I needed them. They came out and were responsive to my needs and saved Thanksgiving!! Thanks!!! Bobbie

It started off a little rocky however ever ting was straighten out. The Plumber and the day time manager were very professional. The plumber was exceptional and I would call root-rooter again.

I was given an estimate from another plumbing service that involved jack-hammering my basement concrete floor and replacing my sewer line at a minimum cost of $4,300. This was after the plumber used a video camera which he said showed that roots were clogging the sewer line. We were never shown the video image and he did not offer any other option to correct the problem. I went online afterwards and set up an appointment with Roto-Rooter and after they called to confirm that I was home, the technician (Jeff #1174) arrived promptly at the appointed time. We spent the first 15 minutes discussing the problems we were having and checking out the the slow sewer line flow. Jeff then brought in the Roto-Rooter equipment and in less than an hour, he removed the root blockage and had the sewer line working without a problem. Since a video inspection was included in the service, a second technician, Brian arrived later in the afternoon to do the imaging which I observed on his laptop computer while he was working. The video showed absolutely no evidence of any residual roots. I could clearly see that the sewer line is now completely clean and intact all the way out to the county connection outside of my house. Jeff and Brian were both highly professional in their approach, spending a significant amount of time explaining things as they worked. They were extremely careful not to track any mud or dirt into the house from the rain and snow mix. They kept the area clean while they worked and made sure that everything was clean when they left. The service was not cheap by any means but it could not have been better. They were prompt, considerate, professional, and most importantly, honest. I will use this company for other plumbing related issues if and when they arise and I will not hesitate to recommend them to neighbors, friends, and relatives.

A classic bait-and-switch scam. I bought the "Big Deal" $250 plumbing services for $79. It'd be better named the "Big Screwing". When I called Roto-Rooter, I was told it was not an hourly charge but by the job. I asked how much it was to clear a clogged disposal. I couldn't get a straight answer. Fast forward: the plumber arrives and HE has a rate sheet. Clear a kitchen drain $399.00. I ask him why the office couldn't give me that number. He said, "they don't want you price shopping". No kidding they don't!!! This sort of lack of transparency is anathema to what Angie's List is about and Roto-Rooter and their deceptive trade practices should be drummed off of Angie's list for good. I'll end up paying $225 to have the stupid drain cleared. Shame on Roto-Rooter for being the grifters that they are and shame on Angie's List for promoting their deceptive trade practices by offering it as a "Big Deal". It is a scam, pure and simple.
