Description of Work: Had Roto Rooter out to fix a leaky sink. Showed up on time, did the work and left the bathroom clean. Also, found out that the $79.99 for $250 worth of work only applies to labor, so I had to pay extra for the parts. Even after that I would still consider the price fair and the work is warranteed for 6 months.

Description of Work: Roto Rooter cam in and fixed the immediate problem with the garbage disposal. But 3 days later the garbage disposal would not work and needed replacing. Roto Rooter would have charge about $500 for the replacement. Instead I went to BG&E Home and they replaced the disposal with a more powerful one and did a really good job. There price was $400. I would choose BG&E Home for plumbing work in the future.

Description of Work: Replaced an existing kitchen faucet. Had I not had the Angie's List deal, it would have cost $305 - which seems like a ridiculous amount of money to replace an existing faucet. However, the worker was very polite, on time and he did a great job of installing the faucet so we are happy.

Description of Work: The downspouts from our gutters were clogged, and we had them out to unclog them. He went above and beyond! We’ll be using them again if needed.

Description of Work: Contacted Roto-Rooter to fix the stems and install shower handles due to shower head dripping. I attempted to comlete this myself, but I could not get seat screws out properly. I explained during initial call the type of stem that was required to complete the job so that once the technician arrived they would have the part available. The technician did not receive the information from the dispatcher re: the type of stem needed, therefore in order to avoid a $129.00 charge for the technician to go get the part (travel & expenses). I had to go to Home Depot to purchase the part ($17.00). Technician removed seat screws, installed stems, cut a flange (sp), installednew flanges& handles, & applied calk. I mentioned that I was a member of Angies's list and the technician was clueless as to what that meant, therefore no discount. Due to the emergency nature of the problem (household water shut off), I had to proceed with getting the shower fixed so that the water could be turned on in my house by the evening. I purchased all parts except for calk. Technician a flange, removed seat screws, and installed parts ($236.00) Upon completion and after the technician left. I noticed a significant difference in the water pressure coming from my shower head. I was not able to take time to address the problem until the following weekend. I called to have another technician come out. I was given a 2hour windown from 4pm-6pm and the technician did not arrive until 8:30pm (Sunday evening). The technician proceeded to check water pressure from the basement sink, other bathroom shower, another bathroom sink, and shower head in question. The technician proceeded to stated that there was not a problem with the pressure. I told him that the only pressure issue is the shower pressure in the master bathroom. I told that before I contacted Roto-Rooter, I was able to spray down the back and side walls of the shower after I would clean the shower. Now after the Roto-Rooter "job" was completed, the water from the shower barely reaches past the middle of the shower and no longer reaches the back wall. The technician stated that "the pressure is find, I tested the pressure throughout the house". I called the dispatcher to complain and they stated that they could send "a more senior technician" to look at the problem. Come on now Roto-Rooter! I do not have time to block out of my weekend again to have someone come tell me that there's not a problem. Also, I joined Angie's list so that I could avoid this experience. #livingwithlowpressureshowers

Description of Work: I discovered my leaking water heater on a Friday night. I called 3 or 4 plumbers on Angie's list. Roto Rooter was the only one that immediately returned my call and was willing to come out the next morning. He gave me a solid price as soon as he saw the water heater and stuck by it. He replaced it the next day and even helped me with a small repair to my humidifier for no extra charge. In all, I was quite pleased with the service. The price was not the lowest estimate, but I felt it was worth it.

Description of Work: I used Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Drain Service to change a faucet in the sink in my laundry room.
