They have been wonderful, they came out and looked around. They ultimately told me there was nothing to be done. They were very responsive and easy to get a hold of. I am going to use them for a different job.

First came the powder room remodel. Everything out to the studs and sub-floor. Jerry, and his crew did a beautiful job from start to finish, clean up was daily and all tools and equipment left here were stowed neatly and out of the way. Jerry's workmanship is topnotch . He is a sweet person who patiently listened to and answered all questions. His judgements when I had questions was spot on! What an assest to Horizons. Mike G. was a pleasure to work with. He was a HUGE help in picking out finishings for both rooms, I trusted his judgement when I wasn't sure and things look beautiful! He was always easy to talk to and easy to reach on the phone! Bill Gmeinweiser of Horizons is a total GEM! If it wasn't for Bill I would not have had any work done. Because of his tireless dedication to his customers he helped me find a lender that could help me overcome my issues! I can't think of the last time someone went SOOOOOOO far out of his way to be helpful. Bill is an honest , caring and quality contractor who desrves every great review he recieves! My kitchen is a total stunner, thanks to the hardwork of Jerry, and everyone who walked in my door. My sincere thanks and gratitude go out to everyone at Horizons. But to Bill G. I can't thank you enough for all your hard work. You were always easy to reach and very responsive to my questions and concerns , even when they were a little silly I never felt that you were not concerned! Would I do it again? Absolutely. Come 2014 I hope to have more work for this stellar crew of wonderful humanbeings! Any areas for improvement? None, you guys rock!

Already recommended to my neighbor/friend who hired Horizons as well. Excellent company. Loved the people and dealing with them was so easy!

The company did contact me, we arranged for a service date, they arrived yesterday, Dec. 13. The company was going to caulk around windows and perhaps roof, but upon inspection by the workmen, I was told I needed more than a little caulking over cracked and existing caulking. Some areas around my windows had no caulking at all. After talking to the company, it was decided to get a refund on this 'package' that I purchased and to call them in the Spring for an estimate on doing the job needed. I will follow up with this company at that time.

We had to cancel our scheduled appointment once due to weather. They rescheduled for 12/19 but the they stopped by 12/13 to check out what needed to be done. I was told that my roof pitch was too high and that would an additional charge of $75, there was problem with caulking around my windows, and that would be an additional change. While I believe that everyone needs to compensated for their work, the deal for $99 is to vague and appears to be offered to get them to your house and then all the additional charges apply for what really needs to be done. I cancelled the service as it appeared that I was not going to get the service done that was offered for only the $99. I think that they should have accurately disclosed all the "restrictions" where an additional charge would apply.

After speaking with Mike at Horizon's to schedule an appointment for them to come out and do the window caulking, it was clear that they were only interested in getting me to replace my roof, windows and siding. The deal I purchased was to caulk my windows which he told me they would have to charge me more if they needed to remove old caulk. I wouldn't think that a good company would just caulk over old caulk. This Deal was not what I thought it was going to be. I left him a message on December 9 through Angie's messages that I wanted to cancel our appointment for him to come out on 12/23, but he has not responded.

I purchased the roof maintenance package from Horizons and was very pleased with the technician that visited my home as well as the owner, with our phone conversations. I know that my roof was on its last leg, but wanted a professional opinion. Now I am not that oblivious when it comes to construction and how thing are supposed to be fixed and/or built, so when both the owner and the tech explained what was going to be done and what needed to be done I was able to follow and even when I had a questions the technician was able to answer and explain his answers, which was very helpful.

Roofer was very professional and competent. I spoke with company owner about possibility of future work. Excellent service! I am a very satisfied customer and highly recommend the company!

Technician was very knowledgable, courteous, and honest. He did not try to sell me something I didn't need. He was more concerned with customer satisfaction and having integrity than trying to make money selling unnecessary repairs.

I interviewed numerous roofing company reps and received multiple proposals. The highest bid was over $15,000 and the rep didn't even measure the roof (house and separate garage); he "guestimated" the cost of labor and materials. Bill, the owner of Horizons Unlimited, personally walked over the roof, taking precise measurements. He discussed the process of removal and installation, showed us various shingle options, and provided a readily understandable written proposal. We chose the mildew resistent, 120 mph architectural shingle by Atlas. Bill's crew worked on our home for several days, keeping the worksite as clean as possible. I had several minor issues with trim areas which Bill had corrected swiftly. I am very pleased with our new roof. I should point out that Horizons Unlimited offered the best materials and the lowest price (under $10,000) of all those I interviewed. Also, another plus in Horizons favor was the fact that they had install our neighbor's roof 9 years ago and it still looks brand new.

I contacted this company after doing a fairly extensive review on Angie?s List for companies that provide windows and siding. They were very polite on the phone and worked with me to set up a convenient appointment that was within a few days of my call. The owner, Bill and his brother came out to price our project. They were very thorough while surveying the project. Bill asked questions to make sure he understood the scope of the project and what we were looking for, provided helpful suggestions regarding what might be more cost effective and answered all of our questions regarding the differences in types of products available. They provided their bid on the spot and followed it up in writing with a clear and concise bid a short time later. Their price for windows and siding was in the middle ? not the least expensive, but not the most expensive either. After reviewing the spec?s for the various types of windows and siding and comparing the scope of the work that they were going to provide, it quickly came down to them and one other company. The only reason we did not choose them for the project even though their bid was close in overall cost was because we felt that we were getting slightly better quality products from the other company for slightly lower cost (obviously we are not experts?it was just our gut feeling). I would not hesitate to ask this company for proposals in the future and I would recommend them to family of friends.

guys were polite and kept the grounds clean. quality of the work is a A, but I did expect them to apply a primer to the wood before painting, which they did not do. They added more insulation where needed and the wood working was of high quality.

This review is quite overdue, but I feel it should be put on Angie's List. In the summer of 2011, we had all of our windows/sliders replaced on the main floor of our house. Bill had come out and gave us a great estimate/price on replacing our single-pane windows with Softlight brand windows. The windows/sliders themselves are indeed very nice. Bill is also very nice. His crew, however, is absolutely awful. My examples are numerous. First, my fiancee notices one of the windows they're installing looks crooked in the frame. He points it out, and they fixed it. How they didn't notice themselves is worrisome. Once the job was finished, we noticed several problems. Many of the windows were either not caulked at all or one side (usually the top) was not caulked. I called them back MULTIPLE times and they still didn't get it right. Some of the caulking literally looked like a child did it. The last time I allowed them over, they used black caulk on a window that was 3/4 caulked with BROWN caulk. They can't even match the color. This is how little the crew cares about the quality of their job. Our house is cedar, so when they enlarged the one window, they did not cut a new piece of "decoritive" wood to match the new size of the window. This piece of wood was underneath the exterior side of the window. Instead, they just cute another piece to fill in the gap and it looked awful with this huge seam. This is the exterior of our house for all to see. Why couldn't they take the time to replace the entire thing with one single piece? Winter came along and we noticed our house felt just as drafty as it did when it had single-pane windows. We pried off the trim of a window, and sure enough, the framing had absolutely no insulation. Not even the best window will do much good if it isn't sealed up with expanding foam, ect before putting the trim back on. We take a look at the rest of the windows and sliders, and without surprise, none are sealed up. While we were sealing them up, we found another nice surprise. There was debris on top of our cabinets that are next to the enlarged window. Nails, drywall pieces, etc. No other work has been done in that area of the kitchen. I'd like to also note that Bill never came to check the progress during the job. Again, he seems like a great owner/manager, but hopefully by now he's hired a crew that actually cares and knows how to do quality work.

It went very well. excellent workers. very skilled. owner was on site and checking progress regularly. started project on time and kept a good schedule to complete the project. left our house in good shape each day. good attention to detail.

They replaced a pole from my balcony, replaced a retaining wall around my flower beds, replaced soffit area at the roof line, and several other things around my home. They were very good and I am very pleased with the outcome of all of the work they did here. I would use them again for sure.

We feel comfortable using them, and the owner comes and views the jobs as they are done.

Work was of high quality and performed professionally and in a timely manner.

I was very pleased with the services I received from Horizons Unlimited Home Improvement Inc. They have great customer service and do high quality work. He was very considerate because I had had surgery done. It was December, also, and they made sure the work was done before Christmas. So I really enjoyed them. Their work turned out just beautiful. My whole floor had to be done. There was water damage. Parts had to be torn up. He prepared my floor in case water comes in again, that it won't do as much damage. They painted and did molding. The carpentry was just excellent.

They called this morning and asked if they could charge the same card I had given to them for the deposit. I said, "the work hasn't even been done yet". He responded saying that they finished the job yesterday. I walked outside, and saw the work was completed. I couldn't believe it. They gave me a great deal on the work, because it was half of what the other 2 contractors gave an estimate for. I may have another job for them in the future.

They do a great job. I would have them come back in the future if I need anything else.

Beginning with the addition to our house, we're very happy with the design of the additions and their execution. We met with Bill Gmeinweiser, the owner of Horizons Unlimited, and Tim Murphy, our site manager. They introduced us to all of their subcontractors. (This was a large job.) Tim Murphy was on site every day to oversee all aspects of the construction. Bill Gmeinweiser was available all the time to answer questions, as was Tim. They were very careful to mask off the construction areas to keep dust out of the rest of the house. All debris was cleaned up as they went, and all work was done in a very professional manner. Early last year (2011), we had Bill and his crew back to add a roof over our porch. Again, they did a beautiful job, and we're delighted with the porch--no more getting wet in the rain while fishing for our house keys. A bad hail storm came through our area in August 2011. We didn't think of hail damage until we noticed that a lot of our neighbors were getting their roofs replaced. So, once again, we called Bill Gmeinweiser. Bill came out and inspected our roof and found damage. When the insurance inspector came, Bill came back and was right up there on the roof with the inspector, and they spent a lot of time looking at the roof and the siding. Horizons Unlimited did an excellent job replacing our hail-damaged siding and roof, adding extra insulation to the exterior walls, and water and ice barriers along the roof edges and valleys. We, definitely, would call on Bill Gmeinweiser and Horizons Unlimited again.

They were very cooperative in design and planning phase and prompt in answering questions and offering options. The job got off to a rough start when they found out that one of the units was the wrong size, after construction was underway. It was not clear why they didn’t measure all units while at their shop ( they had to paint them first) so they could have found the problem ahead of time; they reordered the unit and came on a Saturday to finish the job and install the correct size piece. I paid extra for them to paint my basement steps with Drylok foundation sealer/paint and the job they did was awful. I complained and they redid it, but I was very disappointed in their initial work. These miscues prevent me from giving them an overall A. At this point everything is completed and they provided a high quality product and job.

I've used there services in the past and they are great to work with. They were very responsive. I can't say enough about them. I explained to him what I wanted and he took notes. He provided an estimate promptly.

In the aftermath of Hurricane Irene, a large oak tree fell on my house damaging the roof, a bedroom wall, and destroyed a window. Siding was damaged, gutters, you name it. Horizons responded quickly and provided an estimate even before we could get an insurance adjuster estimate. Roof trusses needed replacing so they first arranged to get those measured then scheduled the demo work to be done once the trusses were onsite. I'm very pleased with the quality of the work. I'd definitely use them again.

Horizons Unlimited was very professional from start to finish. They gave us 2 options for doors in the estimate, including why they considered one option superior to the other (the one they recommended was the less expensive one as well.) The made a return visit to address an issue that ultimately was caused by me with out any hassle.
