Exceeded my expectations, exceptional in planning, performance, and attention to detail. Took great care with my wife's antiques in clearing the rooms. Very little dust during the extensive sanding process, great expert advice during the selection of stain, extremely thorough and detail oriented during the entire process. Team was well organized, polite, punctual, and very thoughtful. Company clearly selects their employees carefully, all were excellent. While their estimate was not the lowest, we clearly made the right choice given the outstanding end result at only a slightly higher price than other estimates. I will use DJ's again in the future and would strongly recommend their services to others. The manager for the flooring team (Magnus) visited twice a day and he was great with keeping us informed, planning all stages of the process, and ensuring that we were completely satisfied with their work. An outstanding company!

The DJ Floors crew arrived on time and went to work immediately. They covered cabinets, counter tops etc with plastic and sealed heating vents. By the end of the first day they had sanded and put down the coat of stain. On the second day they arrived at the appropriate time and applied the a coat of sealer followed by 2 more coats, a final buffing and installation of toe molding that matched the floor color. The floors are beautiful and highlight the kitchen. This is the third time we have used DJ Floors the first time was about three years ago, last fall for repairs to the hard wood caused by a water leak and in January to refinish after we re-did the kitchen. I highly recommend this company, they are very professional easy to work with and do an incredible job!

No well. They did not have a record of my appointment, so I just did not reschedule. If they lost my appointment the first time I'm not going to trust them again.

DJ Floors did a great job refinishing our hardwood floors. We had them do the stairway, hallway and 3 bedrooms. We were in a bit of a rush and they were able to fit us in the week after we received the quote. The crew arrived on time and kept a clean work area. We had moved a wall in one bedroom and the floor is now seamless in that area. I would definitely use them for any future projects.

They came on time and completed the work in two days. The floors are beautiful. Mangus helped us choose the flooring material. We are very satisfied. The only problem we had had nothing to do with the floors. The workers backed their truck into a decorative tree next to the driveway and broke the trunk in half. Magnus offered to replace it immediately. We plan to use them soon to redo some of our older wood floors.

DJ Floors did an excellent job cleaning our wood floor. There was a great deal of bad weather and the holiday's that caused me to reschedule with them, plus I had remodeling going on. DJF was flexible about scheduling, and actually came out on a day when the weather was a challenge, just to keep their appointment time. I got an estimate from them to do some installation work when the weather warms up. The estimator was not as responsive as the scheduler with my questions, but overall, they are very professional and do a fine job. I would call them again.

Unfortunately, things didn't work out due to the scheduling conflicts. However, I was very impressed with overall professionalism and level of expertise. DJ called when he was on his way and showed up right on time, quoted a very reasonable price, and gave some professional advice, which I used later. Also, a great deal of taste - I'd count in his opinion when in doubt about my own design decisions. Definitely would give DJ Floors another try. Pleasure to work with - based on my brief experience and all the positive feedback over here on Angie's list.

They mixed the stains to match existing floors which no one else would do. Matched perfectly but they did leave some spots that needed filler and in a few places you can see where the sander left uneven surfaces. The guys were hard workers, the office people were great working with us as far as setting a date to have the work done, and were able to schedule the work the next week. However, we had newly painted walls in the rooms where the floors were being finished and every wall in one room had marks on it as if the handle on their sander scraped up against them. This was disappointing because I had to touch up over 40 spots on the wall. We didn't notice this until they were gone or we would have pointed it out to them. I'm not sure we would use them again, we have other contractors who can do the job for the same price, we just wanted to give them a try. Overall the floors look great, they cleaned up after themselves, and were very hard workers.

The floor was damaged over the course of 100 years living.... splintered, missing wood in areas, or just plain damaged. We were leary that anyone would quote refinishing, and considered having new hardwood at expensive cost over the old wood, but we sought 4 estimates anyway for refinishing. 2 suppliers looked at it and refused, 1 gave a high estimate and didn't want to do the refinishing of the staircase. Magnus of DJ Floors quoted the whole job, at a reasonable cost, and assured me the floors and staircase would meet our satisfaction when done. We decided in mid-stream to have the risers/balusters painted white, which he cheerfully quoted at a slight extra cost. We booked with DJ, and the work began 3 weeks later-- on-time and completed when he said it would. The work crew arrived on-time everyday, and stayed until the end of the day. They are extremely hard workers with a strong work ethic, were friendly and courteous to us and respectful of our home, and cleaned up everyday after themselves. The office crew was very responsive by email or phone when I called. In fact, I drove to their office to give them a down payment on a Sunday which they were working. Now the results. Not only did the job meet our satisfaction, it blew us away. It's just incredible how beautiful these old floors and staircase look. We are so glad we never covered them up with new hardwood.....that character of the wood and grain show thru and gives the house class. We're so happy with them, we're going to have Magnus and his crew come back in the spring, and refinish 2 more rooms of same vintage. This first was a "trial balloon" to see how they would turn out. Now we know. These guys are so professional and take great pride in how the job turns out. I without a doubt highly recommend them to anyone needing refinishing of old wood.

The estimator was on time and very informative. The workers that did our floors were on time. They did a outstanding job. The floors were done right the first time. Everyone I had contact with in the company from the scheduler, contact person, estimator and floor refinishers were very friendly and knew exactly how to get the job done.

We had a small space(155 SqFt) that needed to be refinished and received a wide range of quotes. One vendor quoted 1,500 over the phone, another 1,000 after looking at it for 5 minutes.I received a full written quote from Magnus the day after he came out to the house. The quote from DJ Floors was the only reasonable quote provided and based off of previous AL reviews we decided to hire them. The work was scheduled for the following week. The work was completed within a day and their team did a great job. There was also very little dust left over from the job. The space that was refinished was previously covered with a carpet and merged with the hardwood floors leading into the hallway. We knew the water based poly wouldn't fully match with the existing floors in the hallway (not that anything would), but they did a great job blending the two together. We are very happy with the work and would use them again.

Everyone at DJs was very prompt and professional throughout the entire process. The workers started on time, were friendly, and cleaned up every day. In fact, the house remained dust free. The results look great and we would definitely use DJs again.

DJ Friatas was very professional, stopped on site to see his crew nearly every day, and was responsive to changes during construction. We'll use him again when we're ready for more renovation.

They did a phenomenal job and their price was significantly less than the three other bids I received. They also maintained a very clean work site and were careful about not damaging items in my home. I highly recommend them to others.

I used them through one of their big deals on Angie’s List and they did good work. They did not charge me anything other than the coupon price.

Estimate for a sanding and refinish floor job. I was able to remove many of the stains using steel wool, stain, wax, and lots of elbow grease. They did not offer to do anything but a re-sanding. Yes it would look the best bot I would have liked them to give me advice if a cleaning and touchup would have worked.

Everything went well. I am very pleased.

Workmen showed up promptly on a Sunday due to scheduling difficulties. Work was done fast and ahead of schedule. Was finished in one day instead of two. Original schedule date was missed due to workmen injury and DJ Floors provided a crew on Sunday just to fit in to our schedule.

The floors felt cleaner but they didn't really look that much better. Said I would need to refinish to make it any better.

Both men were very safety conscience, which impressed me. They left a very clean area and clear instructions on when I could move the furniture back. The floor looks beautiful

Magnus came out first to measure and give me an estimate of the job before the work started They sent labels of products to be used, questions answered and pictures of sample colors. I picked 3 stain colors from which to decide which was standard with the job. The staffers brought 2 of the 3 because somebody accidentally put two of the same color in the truck. They offered to run to the store to get the third choice to show me but I declined. I liked the two choices they had with them and felt overwhelmed already. The staff who did the floors were the most professional I have encountered. A generous strip of floor was sanded and the color choices applied so that I could choose. I went with English chestnut which was totally different from the original color. They knew it was a hard decision and told me not to worry that if I changed my mind I had all day to let them know because the application would not happen until the sanding was done. They taped off the house including AC registers and even asked me to turn off the AC so that I didn't circulate dust. It was the only hot spell we had so far this year but they opened the windows and sweated their way through the job. They started at about 9 am and worked through till about 6.30 pm the first day sanding and ending the first day with the stain application. The next day they came back and applied the polyurethane (both coats) after the sealer. My son- in- law had a floor business and thought they should do 3 coats of poly. When I mentioned it to DJ they said they could do 3 poly coats if I wanted but their normal was 1 coat sealer and 2 of poly. I liked the idea of sealer so went with the standard application of sealer and 2 coat of poly. I also elected to do new baseboards myself which was about $400 cheaper. The floors are beautiful. I had one problem on the upper stair lip which was where the job stopped. The color seemed to ware away with a little traffic. I called Magnus, sent a smart phone picture of the wear and he came back out and fixed the tiny spot and even fixed a scratch my husband caused when he thought he could drag a mirror wrapped in paper across the floor. I am happy with the floor. Happy with the color and plan to continue this color to the main level when the kitchen gets redone. Great job. The two gentlemen who did the work were the most professional. I don't even know their names but they should be mentioned. The job took 2 full days. I was able to walk on the floor in sock feet the third day. I waited a week before I moved furniture onto those new floors. Great job. Very happy!!
