It was okay. I believe I paid extra for moving my furniture. Nothing really stood, it was adequate.

Nothing but good things to report. Company was responsive to my calls, and showed on time both to provide a full estimate and for dates of service. Quality of work was great and overall experience I would rate above average. Would definitely use this company again!

We had original arranged with a contractor who worked in the condo building to refinish our floors before we moved in. They did a poor job, but we had no choice but to move in as scheduled. We agreed that they would redo the den to see if it could be done properly, and when that was successful, we agreed to have the same original company redo the rest of the apartment. They again did a poor job (think sanding lines throughout because they didn't use a fine enough sandpaper, areas where the stain was splotchy). We then were one day away from leaving for vacation and contacted DJ Flooring, which we had found through Angie's List. They came the next day, provided an estimate very promptly, and the estimator was knowledgeable and professional. We made arrangements by phone from the airport for them to redo the floors while we were away, putting the furniture into the den, which did not need to be redone. There was considerable red tape for them to go through as a result of the condo building requirements, but they managed to get through that and get the job done in our absence, finishing on the day we returned. The quality of the work was fine -- not a hint of the problems we had with the previous company. I did not give them the highest rating because there was a spot in the bedroom by the heating unit that they missed and the stain seemed to be a little darker close to the walls for some reason. Also, we had paid to have the furniture moved back, and they moved most but not all of the furniture back. So -- not perfect, but all in all we are very satisfied.

They were excellent. They cleaned up for me which is important for me.

I wanted to get hardwood floors installed in my family room, kitchen and dining room along with marble tiles in a small area. We called DJ Floors for this work at a very short notice and they come and provided an estimate the same day. We agreed to move forward. Their crew arrived and completed the entire work in a very professional manner. We were very happy with the quality of work they did. After about a year we called them about some cracks in the hardwood wood. Marcus came and checked the moisture level of the wood and later DJ floor informed us that the problem could be due to humidity problems and our options. At the same time there were some cracks in the grout on the marble floor. DJ Floors sent someone to fix the cracked grout. We were happy that they honored the one year warranty and came over to take a look and did what seemed reasonable. We provided all the material and the cost mentioned was labor only.

We had DJ Floors do the tile work in the hall bathroom and the master bathroom. In the hall bath DJ Floors provided and installed cement board & Keri water proof membrane on the shower walls. They installed ceramic tiles on the walls and bullnoze at the corners which I provided. The also made a frame inserted niche for shampoo. In the master bathroom they provided and installed cement board & Keri water proof membrane around the bathtub including a small part on the walls. They installed ceramic tiles in the same areas. During the entire project they did an excellent job. At the end of the project we noticed a small damage on my new bathtub but they called a professional bathtub refinishing company to paint the entire tub to fix the problem at no cost to me. I was really impressed to see the honesty, integrity and professionalism of this company and the quality of the work during the entire project. I was getting a major renovation of my house and I must say DJ Floors was one of the best companies I had contracted and it was a great experience with this company. The owner DJ is truly a gentleman and always tries to get the work done with honesty and professionalism.

The day before the work was to be done, I got a reminder but no times. I had to send a couple of emails to get the time of arrival (between 8 am - 9 am). The two men did show up by 9 am and came in to look at the space. I asked them if they knew what was to be done today. They said "no". This was the first red flag. I showed them the areas that I wanted done and they said that the way the wood floors were laid out, they would not be able to start and stop. I was confused by this since someone from the company saw this initially and when the scope of the work changed should have said this could not be done. After a few calls to the home office and an invoice for over $700 in price for work that was now buffing instead of sanding, I was called by the owner (?) who told me that there was a MIN fee for service which was never shared with me (ever). He said because I was always over, it never was brought up. Mind you the voucher was $250 but I am now being told that the min would be $700 and then threatened to take his men off the job. We "settled" on $600 since I knew it would take the two men all day to do the work. They told me they would "try" to buff out the scratches and marks I pointed out but couldn't promise it would work but if they sanded only a portion of the floors, it would take the wood down too far and it would be obvious where they start and stop. We agreed to try it and "surprise" it took out the marks. They covered all of the surrounding areas with plastic. When they stopped about half way in the kitchen, I had to tell them the agreement was the entire kitchen (not half) again, they did not know anything about the scope of the work they were doing. They proceeded to move the table and finish up the area. In the end, the work that they did turned out better than I expected and they stayed on the job until it was done correctly (even re-doing an area that they said had "wax" or something on it that had to be redone).

DJ floors did a first rate job and I was very satisfied with the quality of their job. They arrived on time, stayed within the estimate and finished the job on time. The section of the floor they repaired matches perfectly with the remainder of the floor.

I was preparing a 100 year old house for sale and the floors were just ugly! I consulted with DJ floors and went with their recommendations. It only took them 2 days to complete the job but when they were done I was sorry to sell the house. The highly polish dark wood floors were stunningly beautiful! DJ did a fantastic job and I'd use them again in a heartbeat!

What a Great company, Very nice response from the whole company from start to finish. They did a quality job, and the price was right where we wanted it to be. I would suggest them in a heartbeat...

Both the phase 1 and phase 2 stair refinishing crew worked amazingly hard. Two men put in a 9-hour day the first day and the final finish man spent another 8-9 hours the second day, taking barely 20-min. lunch.? The stairs are just pine I think, but you'd never know it from how they look now. The staining job is beautiful and the semi-gloss finish looks so rich. The crews were very conscientious about tenting with plastic and taping; very little sawdust or wood shavings ended up in adjacent areas. A 3rd crew member came on a different day to work on the garage door.? Again, a hard worker who put in long days.? We had a little bit of trouble communicating (I speak NO Portuguese) but a supervisor on a mobile phone smoothed things out.? There was a weird mishap as the contractor was almost finished with the door; the stain chemically reacted with the boat vanish and uneven, discolored splotches began to show.? The office called to tell me that they would make it right, no matter what.? I think they tested some different stain with the heavy duty varnish I wanted back at their office over the weekend. The next week the contractor started all over, resanding the door, staining and finishing.? Now the door is gorgeous!? Time will tell if the heavy duty varnish holds up to my damp situation. My house has wood floors throughout and I don't know when I would be ready to stomach moving all of my furniture out and doing the whole house - but if I ever do, I'll be calling DJ Floors.? They were great!

An excellent experience from start to finish. All of the work was completed as described, on time and with the utmost professionalism. Everyone who came out to the house was pleasant and easy to work with, and we are completely thrilled with the results. Our 30 year old porch floor has never looked nicer. We will definitely call this company again for future work.

I would give the work on the floors a grade of excellent. 3-4 guys did the work in 3 days. One of the stair noses was loose after the job and they came back and fixed it within a couple weeks. I would grade the work on the hand rails as very good. I'll have to do some minor touch ups on the spindles and on the wall around the hand rails. The refinishing work took much longer than expected (an additional 3-4) days. They do not charge by the hour so the extra time did not cost me anything. Be prepared to call the office multiple times in order to get things done to your satisfaction.

My experience was quite unfortunate with DJ Floors. I called to schedule and appointment for them to come out to give me an estimate for replacing stairway carpet with oak hardwood flooring. They came, took measurements and we chatted at length about the job. The estimator took my personal information including email and phone number and said I would have an estimate within the week. That was April 3rd. Today is April 15 and I have not heard from them as of yet. I am quite disappointed...

They were very professional in their work. They sealed off the living room/dinning room with plastic to keep the dust from entering the rest of the house. The finished product looks great. We chose a darker stain than had been on the floor, and that highlighted the beautiful patterns of the hardwood. They were very prompt in their work starting at 8:00am on both of their work days. I would highly recommend them to anyone who wants a beautiful looking floor at a very reasonable price.

Great experience overall. The estimate was half the price of two other groups. Also, the job was done in 2 days and not 3 days as was estimated by the aforementioned competitors. Friendly, fast and efficient workers and management. I have already recommended them to a couple of friends.

DJ Floors did an amazing job refinishing the hardwood floors in our living room, dining room and hall. We will defiantly use them again to work on other rooms. I wish all our home improvement jobs went so smoothly. They were prompt, courteous and kept me well informed as to what was going on, cleaned up incredibly well and our floors are absolutely gorgeous. Also the estimate was the lowest and there weren’t any hidden fees.

We had the first floor wood floors (1,100 s.f.) sanded and refinished by DJ's. They were sanded, we used the neutral coloration and applied three coats of semi-gloss water based urethane finish. DJ arrived on time and provided the estimate which included removing and reinstalling the toilet in the half bath and pulling out the refrigerator and stove to put flooring underneath. At our request they willingly cleaned out the areas behind the appliances, and the adjoining cabinets. The work took two days. They finished on time and the house was clean and dust free when they finished. When we inspected the job, we were disappointed with our choice to use the semi-gloss finish. The floors no shine to it and, frankly, looked unfinished. All of the existing scratches had been removed with the refinishing which was great, but the finish was not acceptable to us. We discussed this with the office at DJ's and received polite and courteous responses and suggestions. We mutually decided to have two more coats of the gloss finish applied over the semi-gloss finish. That was done in a couple of days, and again, professionally completed. The floors now look great, just as we had anticipated, and there was no charge for the additional work. I would definitely recommend DJ's for refinishing floors. One comment: I would explore using an oil based polyurethane rather than water based for future refinishing projects.

Outstanding experience. I purchased a big deal for sanding and refinishing and was able to communite with them through email to work out the details. I had to pay some additional for molding, but they were upfront and clear about it. They were also willing to not do some additional work that I did not feel was needed (did not try to oversell). The two workers showed up on time the day of the service and worked the entire day. A supervisor stopped by to introduce himself and check out the work site. The floor looks wonderful, like brand new. Super easy experience for a contractor project, everything went very smoothly.

Excellent job. Great attention to detail. Even though they say it is virtually a dust free operation, you never believe that, but it's true. They cover everything with plastic and 'seal off' the kitchen with plastic to keep dust out of other rooms. Their sanding system has a vacuum system which really does minimize the dust from the sanding. Took most of the day 9:30-5PM to do the job, but the floor looks beautiful. Easy to work with and an easy process to get the job done. If you give them measurements, they do reserve the right to re-measure, which they did. Wound up costing me a little more as my measurements were slightly off, but not a big enough cost difference to matter.

An appointment was scheduled, but company rescheduled because they didn't complete another job in time (stuff happens! ) On the next day, technician reported and cleaned requested areas. We were satisfied with their work.

DJ floors was wonderful to work with. The young lady that answers the phone,creates appts, & everything else...she is great. DJ Floors was very responsive, quick to call back, & reasonably priced. I was a bit concerned about the quality in the beginning b/c my floors were very dirty & I was unsure that they were going to bounce right back. DJ Floors done a fantastic job!! I would definitely use them in the future if I opt for the refinishing

Went well - on schedule. I was not satisfied with the finishing polyurethene though - it does not look like 3 coats.
