It went Great! The crew was here on time, and setup immediately. I asked lots of questions, and received detail explainations. The professional crew got right to work and did not stop until the job was completed.. The crew put cloths down to prevent tracking in my home, and were quiet. When they were done they cleaned the outside as well. I did not know that my home had virtually no installation in the attic since I never use it, and that probably explains why it was not as warm as it should have been during the winter months, and snow metled on my roof faster than any of my neighbors.. Now when they say it is 40-50 degrees outside, I do noy feel it in the inside. I also notice my heat does not switch on often. I am very pleased with my blown-in installation job. Roof Inspection: It went well, there were a few suggestions which I have earmarked for the future.. All in all, I am very pleased with the follow through, the workmanship, and the professionalism of A-1 Roofing-Kanga. I will definitely use them in the future.

After a week they hadn't contacted me. I don't want to work with a company that can't even make a phone call in a timely manner to arrange an appointment. If they were doing that well they wouldn't need to offer a deal so I can only deduce that they aren't very organized.

They were late because, like me, no one realizes how large their attic space is and how much time it requires to fill it with insulation I was surprised to find that that I had 400 more square feet than the deal offered for $99. It seemed silly not to get the extra square footage done since they were here anyway. It took 4 hours and the guys worked until 9pm. One of the guys even came back Saturday Morning to clean up the mess when it was light out. They were very professional and polite. I had no problems calling the office on Monday to pay the outstanding bill, except they don't take discover card. A good experience, I'm glad to have the insulation in for the winter months.

I was attracted by this provider's insulation special, which appears to be an excellent price. I was also interested in having attic fans installed. They quoted me a price of $339 per fan, or $778 plus the insulation. I owned my own roofing company for a decade. An attic fan takes about 20 minutes to install, and I have the fans. As they were already going to be on the site, and on my roof, I wondered if they misunderstood me or were going to provide the fans. Initially they suggested installing fans was difficult, but when I explained the process they agreed it was less than an hours work - but this is the price they charge. So beware, they offer a great special, but they expect to make almost $800/hour for any other work. You can do better than this without looking very hard.

Not really much to say, roof was in good shape and fairly new, but it had a few spots I was concerned about. They did the inspection, gave the roof the ok, and didn't try to sell me anything else.

The service provider was always friendly and helpful over the phone. Per home owner's association, performing the installation will void builder's roof warranty. Therefore, decision was made not to perform installation.

Prompt courteous professional and very responsive

The install process was pretty fast. I'm happy with the new fan and I love that its solar powered! My installer was a few minutes late, but not a lot. He arrived in a "Kangaroof" work van which has pretty ridiculous graphics all over it (a big cartoon-ish Kangaroo, small kids will love it). He was nice and apologized for being a little late. He was surprised by the fact that I already had an attic fan (no one ever asked when I scheduled). So we had to shut off the breaker that powers the old fan. The electrical panel is two and a half floors away from the attic and he didn't do a very good job yelling loud enough to let me know when I had hit the right switch. But everything went fine after we found the switch. He removed the old fan and disposed of it for me. And the new fan was running great. I just looked at my receipt from the "Big Deal" purchase and saw that I was supposed to get a "free roof inspection" I never got anything from the company regarding my roof and I don't the installer said anything about to me during the install.

Seems to have gone well- I'll be interested to see if this changes my cooling/heating bills over the long term but the installation seems to have gone smoothly.

We contacted them for an estimate because they are willing to do roof repairs, not just whole roof replacements, and they had good reviews on Angie's List. They gave us the price for several options, no hard sell. They did a great job and cleaned-up meticulously.

It was good. I didn't have to wait very long for the schedule. It was convenient for me. They didn't do what I thought they were going to do. They didn't have time to do it but they actually came back and they did all the other things for me. They did not charge me because they were seemingly concerned about their reputation. It was a bit misrepresented in what was included and what was not. They took pictures before they did anything to show me all the issues. They took pictures afterwards to show me what they have done. I knew that they have done what they have said. They were clean and neat. It didn't take them very long but I think they did a very good job. We were satisfied. It looks fine. I can't even tell that they did a repair work. The roof is very old. They were concerned about matching of the roofing but it looks fine. I would use them again in the future.

They did a great job, and we haven’t had any issues with the roof on the back of our home since. Overall, they did a great job. One of the things that frustrated me, was one of the workers forgot a measuring tape and had to go back and get it. However, that did not affect the overall job.

My experience overall was not the best. The first person who came out inspected the roof and told me the roof would be ok for another 5 year. It was no time before shingles started coming off the roof. I ended up having to have my roof replaced and had to spend additional money because they did not tell me of the problems with the roof the first time. The siding was fixed ok but they had to come out three times before the job was completed. I do not plan on hiring them again in the future.

We first used Kangaroof to replace some shingles that were lost during a storm early in 2013. Since they did a good job with that project, we decided to use them to replace our relatively old roof. Maurice came out for a very thorough estimate and roof inspection in mid-March. He took video and pictures of our roof and pointed out areas where the existing roof was worn or damaged. We were impressed that he stayed late on a Friday evening to complete the estimate process. After deciding to go with Kangaroof, we scheduled a start date for the week of 3/18. That original start date was pushed back to 3/25 as they had previous projects go long due to weather. Our pushed back start date of 3/25 was pushed back further to 3/28 since we received a late season snow storm on 3/25. The roofing materials were dropped off on our roof on 3/22 and sat there buried in snow on 3/25 and 3/26. We realize that they couldn't control the weather, but it was a bit unnerving having heavy wet snow on top of roofing materials on our 20 year old existing roof. Once they finally started on 3/28, the demolition of the existing roof was a bit messier than anticipated. Maurice advertised this piece of machinery which prevented big messes resulting from roof demolition. It was essentially a dumpster on wheels that had a hydraulic system in order for it to raise to roof level. This way the workers could just slide the old shingles and roof into this dumpster instead of throwing it into a dumpster on ground level. The workers did not use this piece of machinery, instead leaving it out on the street. The workers threw the pieces of old roof into the back of their truck. At the end of the first day, the workers attempted to clean up pieces of shingles and nails strewn around the house, however there were a large amount of nails left behind. We realize that most roofers leave old roofing nails behind, but we were surprised on how many were left behind given the description of this hydraulic dumpster. We were forced to buy a magnet, which ended up yielding approximately 100 nails after combing our property. The roof was not fully completed on the first day and they had to come back on Friday in order to finish the part of the roof that had a much higher pitch. Maurice stopped by early Friday morning while I was moving my car to let me know that the workers were "on their way", however no workers showed up since it was Good Friday. It was not a surprise to us that the workers did not show up since it was a holiday, however it would've been nice to know they weren't coming ahead of time. Before they resumed work on Monday, we had a worker randomly come on Easter Sunday to rain-proof the roof while we were having Easter Sunday dinner with guests. We're not sure why this wasn't done on Thursday, however it was quite inconvenient to be interrupted during the middle of dinner on Easter Sunday. The roof and the gutters were completed on Monday, April 1st and the finished product looked good. The final phase of the project (extra attic insulation) was pushed back to mid-April due to a scheduling conflict on our end. We were told this project would take 3 hours, however it took this worker a total of 10 hours over 2 work days. On the first day, the worker was at our house until 10:30 PM on a Saturday. While we appreciate the hard work late into the night, it was inconvenient for us having a worker in our house that late. Overall the body of work was done well, but the timing and communication could have been a lot better.

Very good customer service! The front office staff, in particular, Barbara was very professional and pleasant to deal with. The technician , Vincent was so good to work with. Based upon Vincent's inspection he found some concerns and we decided to have him return and repair those problem areas on the roof. Any future issues with our roof we will only call A-1 Roofing Services/Kangaroof.!

.The receptionist scheduled the appointment on the same day that she called, even though it was Columbus Day==a holiday. To me, this signaled a strong work ethic. The worker arrived promptly, was neatly dressed, had a professional demeaner, and explained how he planned to proceed to inspect our roofing system and to share results. The inspection sheet was a thorough evaluative instrument. The worker only glued a few items, such as the flashing at the base of the chimney, and promised to send the photos. On the strength of the evaluative instrument, the worker's punctuality and demeanor, I would rate the inspection as excellent. However, I never received the photos despite follow up calls and emails, and had to have a second inspection with a different company in order to complete my insurance claim.

Last year we had a roofing company come to our home to check out some leaks. We spent over a thousand dollars on their services to fix those leaks and examine the entire roof to make sure it was sound. This spring, the roof leaked again in multiple areas. We called the company, and instead of standing behind their work they offered to re-roof our entire house: for about $35,000! We called A-1 Roofing Services to get a second opinion. They said the roof looked basically sound, and found several problems the previous contractor had apparently missed. They were able to do the work within about 10 days of my signing the contract. They arrived slightly early, calling us first to make sure I did not mind them coming before their scheduled appointment time. The workmen were native English speakers. They did the work in a timely manner, and removed all waste materials. They guarantee the work for 3 years. In addition, they offer a roof protection program that includes yearly inspection and reimbursement for any damage done to the home's interior due to problems they miss on inspection. We will be looking into the program, and will certainly call A-1 Roofing Services in the future for our roofing needs!

I felt that their customer service was really good. I had some additional questions and needs and they ended up having the owner of the company address them himself, which I really appreciated. I felt like they were interested in helping me to a point where I felt satisfied. They were not going to let me be unsatisfied, they were going to address it until I felt satisfied and I appreciated that very much. It was all done within a couple of weeks. They did what need to done with in the big deal. There were additional things that they found that needed to be done, so I did end up spending more than the big deal. I would use them again.

When I first called for an estimate, the company was very responsive and set up an estimate in a timely fashion The guys who came out to give an estimate were about half an hour later but they did call (about 5 min after the scheduled appointment time) to let me know they were running late (It was 5pm and I live in Baltimore City so I do understand that traffic issues come up). Once they arrived they were quick and efficient. I appreciated that they took pictures while up on my roof and then put them on an ipad to show me what needed to be fixed. This was a really nice touch and made me feel more comfortable about the repair suggestions. I asked the guys if I would be in a better position to just replace my roof rather than repair. I felt like their answer was completely honest and not given just to attempt to up-sell. They told me I should probably look at having in replaced in another 6 years or so and gave me a price for that but told me that the repairs they suggested would definitely hold up and keep things secure and water-tight if I decided to wait. The estimate for repairs was also cheaper than some of the other competitors who came out. The guys who gave the estimate asked me to call an alternate number to schedule the actual work if I chose their company. I was worried it was a little fishy but I'm pretty sure that when I called the company initially, an answering service took my number and information and someone from the company called me back so the alternate number might have been to avoid the answering service run-around. Unfortunately when I called the alternate number, no one ever got back to me. I was a little annoyed but called the main number and got and response, many apologies and a quickly-scheduled date for the repairs. Also VERY nice and VERY convenient, they were willing to do the repairs while I was at work so I didn't have to take time out to be at the house. All in all, a good experience and I would definitely hire them again when I need to have the whole roof done. I gave B's on responsiveness and punctuality because of the two little issues above but I thought they were resolved in a perfectly fine manner. I am writing my review so belatedly because I previously wrote one that got deleted before it was submitted and I didn't feel like retyping it at that time.

They finished doing the roof and it's pretty good. I got an estimate from another company for $15000 for the roof, so they were significantly lower. They have a couple of postponement because of weather and they can't work in the rain but also, there were a couple of days where I hoped they would start but they couldn't start. They were a little bit in starting than I thought but it worked out pretty okay. They were at the job on time once they finally got in there. The only other thing about that was there, they had shingles and some materials delivered like three days before they were supposed to start and then it rained and the owner of the company actually came around on a Saturday and I told him to take them off the lawn, so he did that. He actually stacked it himself, so that was pretty good but other than that, they're just pretty good. He came back to pick up the leftover stuff but he left some, he didn't see it's on the port side and I called him about that. They were very professional.
