I requested a proposal and once the final cost was presented we decided the estimated cost is too high for the scope of work.

I was attracted to the Big Deal for floor coating as a way to brighten up an unsightly 9'x12' area of concrete between our driveway and sun room. Unfortunately the description of the deal didn't mention that the company has a 200 sq ft minimum (I have 120). Therefore, the company's estimate was much more than my own, which was based on a couple reviews which gave both cost and square footage for projects which were well over the 200 sq ft minimum. The company spokesman promptly and courteously explained the estimate to me.

I purchased the big deal that read $99 for $500 work. The deal did not provide any rough ballpark of the total cost per square foot or otherwise. I did get quick response from the vendor, who asked me to pick a color off the website and measure the garage prior to our phone call. On the website there are 5 different levels of epoxy and to a novice it is rather overwhelming. That said we picked a few colors in each category. When we did talk to Chris, he was pleasant but not very forthcoming or informative. It would have been nice if he had gone over our needs and the different products and the process and made recommendations accordingly. Instead, he just asked the size of the garage and which color we wanted. He did answer most of our directed questions with short answers, but did not volunteer any info. When we finally asked the price he said it would be anywhere from $2200 to $2700 before the big deal discount. This was much above what we wished to spend on garage flooring at this time, so we have asked for a refund.

So far so good. I took advantage of it because I had six months to use it and I wanted to have that out of my pocket because I needed to know how much it cost. I called them ahead of time because I wasn't sure the deal explanations how much money it got me but it explained how much of the product it got me so I had to find that out. He explained how professionally installed is a lot different than going to the store and getting epoxy paint and doing it yourself which was something I was planning on doing.

I was informed that the work I required would cost about 2,400 and my 500 would not purchase anything.

Cheers to this company for having so many customers that keep them so busy. I, however, will not be a customer of a company who chooses to be impersonable and provide quotes over the phone. I called ths company, because they were one of the top rated on Angie's List for this type of flooring. My initial conversation with Chris was okay, but I felt uneasy in the way it was going. Chris asked for the square footage that would need to be covered and what type or coloring I wanted. He gave me a rough estimate based on the rough measurements and then told me to add any divets or imperfections in the concrete that may need to be fixed. I explained to Chris that I would like to have someone come out to do the measurements, look at the imperfections, and possibly provide some samples as pictures are not tangible in this case. His persistence towards not coming out to do a quote was surprising to me. I explained again that I would not want to agree on a price that is based on my inexperienced opinion of what needs to be repaired or not. I said to him...this is why I called a professional and would like someone who knows what they are doing to tell me what it will cost. I further explained that I did not want to get an over the phone quote only to end up with a different more costly one in the end, after the work is done. That would be a bad day for everyone involved. He proceeded to tell me that they were very busy and probably could not get to the work until the end of August. I explained that I didn't know if I could wait two months to put my basement back together [basement flooded last week: everything is now in the upstairs living room]. He said he would check to see if they could get the job done earlier and if so, he would call back to schedule a quote. Chris called back the next day, today. That is awesome, except that it was not to schedule a quote. He asked me if I had talked to my husband about the price and what I wanted done and if I knew what I wanted. I was somewhat confused. I replied, yes, I talked to him, but I would still like an in-person quote. Then he became short with me and said..."Well, I gave you the price and told you what to add for any imperfections. Did you want the work done or not?." I said, "If you are unwilling to come out and do the quote in person and makes this more personable than I dont want to do business with you." He was okay with that and said have a nice day. Perhaps I'm a little too cautious, but I don't know anyone who would be willing to agree to a job in the range of $5800 - $6300 dollars over the phone. That to me is ridiculous.

They're very thorough. If I have a problem, they come back and fixed it. They gave us a discount. They always come if they said they would be here.

They arrived on time to perform the work and cleaned up after themselves. Work performed was professional.

Went very well. Everyione I dealt with was very professional. The crew that actually did the work paid excellent attention to detail and was very patient with me (I tend to ask a lot of questions) The floor looks better than I expected and, so far, I haven't found any issues whatsoever. Having said that, I really won't be able to assess the overall quality until I see how well it holds up to traffic under "garage" conditions. The main characteristic of the product (aside from visual aesthetics) is its durability. One very minor issue: the company needs to do a better job communicating among themselves. There was a minor issue in determining the final bill due to internal communications. Also, I was told that the work crew wouild call me about 1.5 hours before coming on the first day (it was a 2 day job) so I could be ready for them. I never received any indication that they called - they just showed up on the first day. They did arrive on the 2nd day at the time they told me they would. All in all, they were great to deal with.

It went fine. The guy was very knowledgeable. He told me he could squeeze me in because I told him I was under a deadline. They sounded very professional although I did not meet them in person. I checked their reviews and they all were positive so I felt comfortable. It took them 4 days to get back to me.

Both they and another guy came out and gave me estimates. Their estimate was $2763 while the other guy agreed to do it at $1600. They told me that the difference was in the technology. But when I brought it up with him about the technology he explained to me that the technology is not that much different than what he does. They buy the coatings from two different places but they're pretty much the same. They then called me back and asked me if I was going with them. I said I've already signed up with the other guy. They asked me, "Why?" I said, "You guys came in with a price of $2700 and then the next time I talked to you, you said you're going to match it". That completely turned me off and I went with the other guy. It was a no-brainer; 1100 bucks is 1100 bucks. Their responsiveness was fine. Their explanation I guess was okay but now there is credibility involved here. Their responsiveness may be, to coming back and repairing something that was done or something like that is questionable simply because the prices they gave me and then they could knock it down $1100. Not giving me their best price initially. If they would have said may be $1800 like the other guy had quoted me I probably wouldn't even have looked around for another one. I'm unsure now; I'm unsure about what they would tell me. So I would not know if they were telling me the truth or not as far as responsiveness like, "Well, we'll come back if anything" However they were responsive in the quote process. They came out when they said they were going to come out. They went over everything with me. At that time I believed what they were saying.

We received a discount of $80.00 on the original price quote for paying in cash when the job was completed. They arrived approximately 40 minutes from the scheduled time because of having to get materials. I suggesed that in the future they may not want to give an exact arrival time, but a window of time, and the owner agreed.This company performed the work as promised and we would highly recommend them.

Emailed Chris a few weeks ago, provided him the measurements of my garage and what I wanted. Promptly came back with an estimate and gave a partial discount for a coupon that the finish I wanted didn't qualify for. Application took two days, but only a few hours each day. A few areas of the walls need to be touched up, but that's to be expected. Overall they were very neat and cleaned up after they were finished.
