12-27-22, Mickey's Asphalt Company asphalted my driveway and my car-pad. The Six men worked together perfectly. They laid the asphalt very carefully around my 12 holly bushes bordering my driveway. Afterwards, they put the grass back that bordered my car-pad. Two men cleaned off my front porch. They cleaned up all debris in the street. Mickey (the owner), Nick (foreman) and Salena were very respectful to me. This job was worth the money! I referred this company to (2) of my neighbors.

Mickey's Asphalt Service provided a competitive quote. They showed up on time to perform the work. They ended up re-paving on top of my current driveway. But after only 5 weeks, driveway has started to peel off and is damaged now.

We have a relatively complex driveway with a turnaround, and side garages. The driveway is sloped, and there were 4 different places plus a trench where it had to precise to meed the items. VERY SATISFIED.

It went great. I was not there at the time, but they explained everything to my wife. They did a couple of things above, and beyond without extra charge.

Mickey and his crew did a great job. Very courteous and did exactly what he said he would do, when he said he would do it, each step Of the process. From keeping our initial appointment to returning my calls and answering my questions Mickey was a pleasure to deal with. He was on site and helping his crew most of the day. I really liked that he stayed involved and didn't just book the job and hand it off to others to complete. As a consumer I was leary of an industry that is full of bad stories, scams, and fly by night companies but after dealing with Mickey I would highly recommend him to friends and family.

Very good, Started on time were professional and the work was excellent!! Owner is on the Job site so if you have questions they get answered quickly !! Price was much, much better than the Estimates I have gotten in the Past !!

Mickeys responded to my call within appropriate time frame and gave me a detailed explanation of what they would do. Their price was a little higher than others but they were referred to me by numerous people. The crew was great, cleaned up after them selves and did a perfect job! I would highly recommend them.

They put the asphalt on top of asphalt that was already on my driveway. After only one month there is an area that is about 1X1 foot that is pulling up from my old driveway. I have tried to call them twice and the line has been busy both times.

I called to make an appt for estimate. They said someone would come to give an estimate soon. No one showed up. No one called to explain. I called again to find out what the situation was and they informed me that they did not service our area. This was after someone previously took my info for a visit. Very unprofessional. Would not recommend.. At least in Carroll County.

THEY WERE IN MY NEIGHBORHOOD DOING OTHER DRIVEWAYS. THEY GAVE ME A PRICE, WHICH THEY SAID WAS ALREADY DISCOUNTED AND WOULD NOT HONOR THE ANGIE'S LIST 15% OFF COUPON.

Knocked on my door on March 19,2013 & asked about re-doing the driveway. My driveway did need it. Told me what he would do. He noted that the existing driveway was low in one spot by the road and collected water. I also told him a low area also collected water up near the garage door. He promised he would fix both areas, so I agreed to have him do the driveway. He had good equipment, a large crew, and they finished the driveway quickly, replacing the sod along the edge. I was happy with the result until the next rain. He had fixed the spot by the road, but there was still a puddle in the low spot by the garage. Since he specifically had told me it would be fixed, I called them and 2 men came out and told me they would be back in a week to fix it. They never called or showed up. I called them back again over a month later in May and the person who answered the phone said they would take care of it within the next 2 weeks - something about summer starting & asphalt supply, etc. Again, no one showed up. On JULY 2, I called again. No one answered, so I left a message for them to call me back. I still have not heard back from them. When they originally did my driveway, I told my son how good a job they did, so he had them do some work for him. He also had a great deal of difficulty getting in touch with them and getting a response to his request to fix a problem. They eventually did get back to him, but I have not had any response in over 3 1/2 MONTHS! I will not recommend them to anyone else again! 7/20/13 - Finally, after one more call, 2 men came out and fixed the "puddle" situation. Apologized and said things had been very "hectic at the office". Maybe this was just a bad time for them. Otherwise, I'm happy with the final product.

First I must say we used Mickey's initially to install a driveway a few years back,and we were pleased with the results. Recently, Mickey's Asphalt was in the neighborhood doings asphalt work for other neighbors. One Saturday we received a knock on the door to see if we would like to have our driveway seal coated for $250.00. The price seemed reasonable, and we were pleased with their past work of our driveway installation, so we decided to get it done. The seal coat application was done within minutes. We were told to stay off the driveway for 24 hours. After the twenty four hours, the driveway looked wet and the tar topcoat was extremely tacky. So Sunday late afternoon we called the provider to see if they could provide information of why the driveway was not dry. Didn't hear back. On Monday evening thinking the driveway would be dry after 48 hours, my husband returned from work and parked on the driveway and left slight tire mark impressions. We called the office on Tuesday afternoon. The receptionist said she knew we called and said they had tried to call us back, but no message was left.( We have caller I.D., and I check my call log as well.) She said she would have someone call within the half hour. We waited two hours and called again, this time the receptionist got the one of the gentlemen who applied the seal coating. I explained now it was 72 hours later, the driveway was extremely tacky, and asked what could we do. They said they would come out the next morning and take a look.. They did come by the next morning, and they didn't seem too bothered by the marks left, and really couldn't explain why it still was not dry. They said they would stop around on Saturday and retouch the marks that were made. They never stopped back. The driveway took at least four more days to dry. We were disappointed they couldn't call back, provide answers, or stop back when they said they would.

Extremely pleased with the project -- from estimate & walk around before agreeing to the project, to supervision and employees on site, to finished product.

It was okay. The job went fairly well initially. There were some agreements involved where they were supposed to haul away some old material that they had piled up in my yard; it was some old concrete that was to be removed but they didn't for weeks and it ultimately took me threatening to dispute the credit card charge. They came when they said they would and they did a very fast job. They went above and beyond in a couple of areas. At the end of the day, I was very pleased with the project but then again there was that lingering thing in the end. Now honestly, the driveway is holding up very well. Their price was fair.

12/20/11 I don't usually respond to door to door sales. But Mickey did several of my neighbors driveways. Mickey was persistent about doing entire driveway. I couldn't afford it. I did compromise on driveway apron attached to main road for a start. Mickey and his crew did exactly what he said he was going to do for price quoted. Workmanship OK. I would have given his company an "A", but persistence at my front door several times lowered my rating to a "B"!! Way too many workers at this project for this very small a job. 3 people could of got the job done. Most sat in their trucks all day. update 4/16/12 My apron now shows about 6 bubble blister type mounds about 1" high above surface in different spots. The weeds are growing out of them. I didn't think weeds would be able to penetrate thru 2-1/2" of asphault. Makes me wonder how thick the job really was. Lowered my rating to a C because of the above problems. Will consider other contractors for rest of driveway this year.

Johnny from Mickey's provided an estimate that was much cheaper than a competitor for ripping up the driveway and resurfacing it. When it was ripped up he found that the ground was wet underneath so he could not complete the project that day (this was a good decision). He came up with a solution for the water and said he would be back to check on it two days later. At that point I had trouble getting in touch with him and several calls went unreturned. I then called the office and told them I needed the driveway finished for an upcoming party at my home and they made it out the next day and completed the job. It appears to be a quality job.
