The technicians were punctual and completed the work in a timely manner. They left the work area clean, explained their work and were very polite.

Ross handled the estimate and provided a lot of education on energy efficiency cost/benefits. His goal was not to oversell me on something I didn't need or that wouldn't be appropriate for my home. He also helped guide me through the chimney liner installation process (done by a third party provider). Manny handled the measurements and was on-site for the day of arrival At every scheduled appointment, HGH arrived on-time, were courteous and efficient. They left the workspace very clean and tidy. We are very happy with our experience.

I called and spoke with a lady(sorry I've forgotten her name) to make the appointment, telling her that my air conditioning unit was out. Upon attempting to work out a time for a technician to get to the house it would have been 3-4 days. She was really trying to work something out sooner, knowing that I had a limited availability along with a newborn in the house. She then said that sh would get a tech over earlier than normally scheduled the next day. She was awesome in doing what she could to work with our schedule. The tech came out, took one look, realized the issue, went to his truck and back and replaced the part. The air has been perfect since and I will most certainly use them again, though I hope I won't have too.

On Wednesday evening, June 11, my husband and I came home to a warm house. We have a heat pump and while the air seemed to be blowing strongly, the air was not cold. I went and checked the outside unit and found that it was not moving, was making a strange noise, and was producing a lot of heat. The next day, I called several other HVAC companies but no one could come out until next week. Then I called HGH Mechanical. The lady who answered was very nice and was able to schedule someone to come out the same day between 12 and 3 pm. The repairman came shortly after noon, and fixed the darned thing in FIVE MINUTES! He explained that it was a dead run capacitor (which is basically like a battery that runs the fan of the A/C unit) and that it simply needed to be replaced. He was very nice and professional. FYI after researching it appears that replacing a run capacitor yourself is actually quite cheap and easy, it just takes being able to diagnose the problem that is the challenge if you aren't very familiar with HVAC. So if you have a situation like mine, you might want to check the run capacitor before you call a repairman to come out. Then, it will only cost you $20 for the part.

HGH gave us an estimate for the proposal prior to coming out to do the work and they performed the work within the proposal cost. Work was performed as promised, both within cost and time. Connections are clearly labeled for future use and homeowners.

They offered the best quote and Ross was straight forward with everything. Install went fine. There was a minor issue I noticed afterwards but they came back promptly and took care of it.

Ross was extremely knowledgeable and helpful when I spoke with him over the phone today. Ross thoroughly explained the cost of operating my current heat pump and the potential savings a more efficient heat pump would offer in relation to the cost of purchasing a new unit. I will definitely be calling HGH again when I am ready to replace my current heat pump.

Showed up on time and performed tasks in less time than estimated. Very capable and courteous.

Manny Gomes came out to look things over and give me a bid - he was very friendly and professional. Their price was the best and I checked not only Angie's List, but also the Better Business Bureau for their reputation. The work went very well. They showed up bright and early and got straight to work. They were very respectful of the carpet and my menagerie of pets. They were sure to show me how to change the filter in the new system and explain some things to me. I would definitely recommend them and will use them again.

First off they were far more responsive than the other contractor I called to obtain a quote to replace the furnace. At least HGH listened to what the customer wanted not what they wanted. The day of install the guys were neat and professional. They checked out the system and found 2 leaks and took another hour to correct the leaks.

Our "all parts and labor" service contract did NOT cover all parts and labor as literature clearly said. Fine print showed a litany of parts that were NOT covered by the all parts and labor contract. We will NOT be renewing our service contract with this company!

HGH did coordinate with their sub contracters in a timely removal of the left over oil,oil tank and all pipes and oil burner. They installed the new gas burner and removed all job debris .I was very impressed with Manny who is one of the owners when he visited once a day to make sure everything was going well.

Jim came to my house to see the existing pipes, fireplace, and wiring. He gave me an estimate at the conclusion of his inspection. Communication with Jim was timely in terms of setting up an installation date. Jim was able to put me on the schedule a little earlier than expected, which was good. Matt and Mike arrived on the specified day within the 2 hour time frame that I was given. They were very professional at all times and laid down a protective blanket on the floor of my living room floor to minimize the mess. The first hole they drilled into the basement wall to accommodate the new gas line was not lined up with the fireplace correctly, so they had to make another hole. They patched the first hole that they made. Once the job was complete I was told that the company that does the final set-up of the insert would contact me to schedule an appointment, which they did. Before Matt and Mike left they swept up the basement floor and the hearth of the fireplace.

Phil diagnosed the problem within 5 minutes and repaired my AC system. The house was cold before he left. Thanks HGH.

This was a fantastic experience! Everyone we dealt with at HGH Mechanical, and we dealt with at least 5 people were friendly, professional, honest, straightforward and had my interests as a customer foremost in their minds. To say the least, this was refreshing and rare in today's world. Ross did a terrific job in understanding what we wanted in a new HVAC system, how we use our current system and what we were looking to do long term with our home, He took the time to answer all my questions, which were many. He provided explanations, options and the pros and cons of the various companies and equipment. He assessed our home, the size, number of rooms and current system layout. He asked about equipment supplier preferences and was very thorough in his approach. Never once did anyone try to sell us something we did not want or need. How often can you say that?? Susan, in the office was also great in helping us understand the company, the service and payment options. She, as did all the people we interacted with, made us feel comfortable with our choice. As you know, dealing with HVAC services or equipment can be a difficult experience with the wrong company. Not with HGH, they never pressured or rushed the process, but were patient and thorough in all their dealings. The installation process was great. The work was performed professionally, quickly, but correctly and with out leaving any traces. If it wasn't for the new equipment, you wouldn't have know they were even there. The guys were great. We could not be happier with the work or the Company. I highly recommend them!

Since moving to Perry Hall in 2001, I've been using HGH for all of my Heating and AC needs. They offer a service policies and have been great to work with. Very quick response time, honest advice and superior work. I will continue to use this company and recommend them highly.

I dealt with Ross who is very knowledgeable and slightly cocky . His install approach was from an engineering stand point and at times not easy to follow. When I had all my bids in hand(I got 6), Ross had a very aggressive proposal in price. This was refreshing. He was in the lead until I received one line emails asking for updates on my decision. I explained to him several times what my timeline was and I would get back to him. I am in sales and like to close business but he rubbed me the wrong way. Also, he recommended a smaller furnace then the majority of other vendors. Based on research, the decision could have gone either way on size of furnace. I decided to go up versus smaller. I would recommend this company, they offer a good price and are very knowledgeable.

We are very pleased with their professionalism and critique. We have not decided what we want to do yet but would highly recommend them.

Initially, another company told us our AC system was not able to be fixed and gave us an estimate of $8000 for a new system. I was very suspicious that their technician was not on the up and up. Before spending that kind of money, I called HGH for a second opinion. For $98, DJ came to the house and diagnosed the problem as a shorted crank case. He fixed it within minutes! When it was finally time to get my HVAC system replaced, I called HGH back for estimates. Ross, who estimated different scenarios, worked with my schedule and even went back to work one night after dinner to get something to me! I appreciated their professionalism, the patience they used to talk me through each system, and finally the excellent job installing the units I ordered inside my very small furnace closet. They even designed a way to include a humidifier I had requested. I highly recommend HGH Mechanical for their great work, friendly professionalism, and above all, their honesty!
