The Landscape Design Center

We had the Landscape Design Center install an irrigation system from our roof gutters under the back yard, and then regrade our side walkway and add a flagstone walkway. They did a great job. One of the ways they really stood out was in diagnosing our water issues, and explaining where excess water was running out of our previous system. Their team was very professional and spent a lot of care situating the flagstones and organizing plants around them. They also provided the most competitive bid we received. I would definitely use them again for future landscape work.

We had an in-ground pool installed over the winter and contracted with Ana at Landscape Design Center to restore both our front and back yards from being the construction sites that they were. This included extending our existing brick patio down to the new pool deck, adding underground drainage pipes from the patio, creating swales to accommodate yard runoff, planting bushes and plants and installing and an irrigation system and sod in both our back and front yards. Ana and her crews were very easy to work with. They left the job site cleaned up each day, which we really appreciated. Their work ethics were second to none. To sum it up, they did a fabulous job and we would gladly recommend them to anyone wanting to have any type of landscaping or the above mentioned work done. We have gotten many compliments on our yards from our neighbors.

We have a water problem in our back yards. Ana came out, I paid $170 for a plan that will cover 6 neighbors to handle a long-developing water management problem in the back yards. The explanation Ana gave and the proposal were exactly what we needed. Ana explained things very well. Now we just need to get everyone on board.

Fantastic! This was the third time we used Landscape Design Center. Ana and her crew are consistently, incredibly professional. They treated our home with care and respect; the crew even watched out for the neighbor's cats who frequent our yard. When we ran into a problem with another contractor, Ana helped us find a replacement. When I discussed budge with Ana, she listened to me and came up with ideas that kept us on budget while still getting the job done. The care and quality of their work is remarkable. I plan to use them again for a few more projects I have in mind.

Couldn't be better. We have a large waterfront property that needed a bit of everything. The Landscape Design Center has the extensive knowledge of plants and the creativity to design for a myriad of different situations from rock gardens on a sunny slope, to shade gardens, even landscaping around a large koi pond, and successfully dealt with our terrible soil. They built a beautiful stone retaining wall, designed stone path with groundcovers, even included large boulders in landscape design. An outdated sprinkler system was repaired and vastly improved. A drainage issue in the lawn was dealt with, and they will be working on other drainage issues next to the house. The landscape lighting (virtually non-existent before) is exquisite. They always follow up and promptly dealt with anything issues. One thing I like best about them is that they work with you rather than telling you what you want. Needless to say, they’ll be working here again this year.

Their attention to detail is fantastic, the building is incredibly solid, they will go beyond simply doing a yard up to code. Not only is the work gorgeous but the walls and the construction they installed would last through an earthquake. The staff was friendly, and we asked for and added changes to the work SEVERAL times during the work, and they happily adjusted the work and price to accommodate our new requests, They finished early and the yard turned out so nicely that more than one neighbor asked for their contact information. They turned an ugly patch of gravel to a yard that looks like it belongs beside a boutique Italian Hotel complete with stone seating walls, gorgeous stone tiles small garden areas surrounded by granite trimming and all for less than other companies were estimating for far less work and with decks instead of actual stone. I can't recommend them highly enough!

We are absolutely thrilled with all of the work. Ana worked closely with us to create a design that accounted for all aspects of the job including our concerns about water incursion into our basement. The work crew did a meticulous and careful installation of the design and paid attention to the smallest details. I know they went above and beyond when they felt it was necessary to do the job right. There was a lot of artistry involved in implementing the design since we chose irregular flagstone and they succeeded exceptionally well. We were also pleased with the design and choice of plantings used in the landscaping. We highly recommend the Landscape Design Center.

Did a great job, quickly (1 day) and efficiently.

My experience with Ana at the Landscape Design Center has been positive, and has spanned over several years. The company exceeded my expectations during the first job they did for us, so when we hired them for another project a couple of years later, I felt like I knew what to expect. I was wrong, they exceeded my expectations yet again! Once the job is done, you are not forgotten. Recently, we had a potential problem with our septic that was going to directly impact the patio the Landscape Design Center installed a number of years ago. I called Ana, she listened carefully to my concerns, offered to come when the septic repair company came to offer practical suggestions for the least amount of impact to our pavers, definitely made me still feel like a highly valued customer. I am a loyal customer!

Awesome job! Andrea helped me focus all those wonderful ideas and images bouncing around my head into a form she could use to create the base plan, then we worked together to fine tune it, then she and her crews turned the dream into the reality that is my new back yard. The end result was better than I originally envisioned when I first met with her to discuss the project. It was a very collaborative process throughout and I appreciated the depth of experience and imagination she brought to bear on the project. I fully relied on her helpful suggestions, ideas, and plant recommendations--some of which were particularly inspired. Everyone I worked with, from Andrea all the way down the chain to the workers themselves, were friendly, hard-working, courteous, professional, and an absolute pleasure to work with. The crew worked hard, were generally quiet and respectful of the neighborhood, cleaned up the work areas around the house each day, and took extra care to protect the areas when inclement weather threatened. Overall, I thought the installation went relatively smoothly and the hiccups were dealt with quickly. Andrea kept me informed of the progress and way ahead as we moved through the installation, kept me informed when she adjusted the plan to fit my property better, and was receptive to my observations/feedback during installation. She also provided follow-on maintenance hints/tips/recommendations to help guide me in maintaining everything. I'll admit I experienced a bit of a sticker shock, but have never regretted my choice to use The Landscape Design Center--and would do so again if I had it all to do over again. I've always felt I received excellent value for my money. I highly recommend them.

The Landscape Design Center designed and installed my small, city yard. My needs included a special place that was people and pet friendly and one that had a garden, lighting, irrigation, and storage. After meeting with several landscape designers, Ana at the Landscape Design Center captured it all, incorporating everything on my wish list and bringing it to life. City gardening presents unique challenges and they rose to the occasion. The hardscape is beautiful, the irrigation system is one of the best I’ve had (reliable and easy to use), and we all, including the dogs, enjoy the serenity it offers morning, noon, and night. Landscape Design Center also offered one of the best warranties. I won’t use anyone else now that I’m spoiled by the personal, high quality work offered by this family run business provides. Without hesitation, I highly recommend the Landscape Design Center.

We contracted with The Landscape Design Center to provide a consultation and subsequent installation of a full landscape lighting update. Although we already had landscape lighting in place for a number of years, as the trees and shrubs have grown we were feeling like the existing lighting did not accentuate the natural beauty of the property nor did it provide adequate path lighting on parts of the property. Our first step was to meet with a Landscape Designer from the Landscape Design Center. She was very knowledgeable with great and creative ideas..... Exactly what we needed. She not only designed the project but also managed the project from start to finish. She also coordinated with our electrician to ensure proper coordination with out Lutron System. In all aspects, she was outstanding! The installation itself was also outstanding. This was a complete makeover. So we expected the lawn and planting beds may be pretty torn up when the project was complete. We were surprised when that was not the case at all. All of the installation was done in a professional and clean manner. You can barely tell that we had any work done at all. The end result is amazing. The new lighting brings out all the best in the property. We can't wait until warmer weather when we spend more time outdoors and really get to enjoy it even more.

We have worked with Landscape Design Center for a couple of years and while their prices were higher than most, we had been satisfied with the quality of the work. However, when we contracted for the regular spring cleanup this year, we found the quality and customer service had declined. When we called management to tell them that the crew had not finished the work and also made mistakes, we were told that if we wanted them to finish the job, we would have to pay more (even though it was a fixed price job). They tried to tell us that since it took the crew longer than estimated, they could not finish. Needless to say, we were not happy with that response as the productivity of their staff and their ability to effectivly estimate the job is not my issue. They finally finsihed the job but not before telling me that they will no longer be willing to do work for us in the future. As a small business owner myself, I found this to be a very strange way to handle client dissatisfaction.

Not good overall. They took over 8 months to plan, build, and install. Some issues were permitting - but still were not timely (had an excuse for everything). The project was too much for them technically and I wish we would have hired someone else. They made bad decisions and were wrong on technical items (e.g. was a plant native?) The results of the project did not look like the plan, although it looks ok. The hill is not stabilized due to their work - which was our top priority.

A LITTLE PRICEY BUT THE LAWN IS LOOKING GREAT. THE COST IS WORTH IT TO US. WE HAVE USED THEM FOR SEVERAL YEARS AND HAVE NEVER BEEN DISAPPOINTED WITH THE SERVICE OR THE RESULTS.
