I had pavers and new sod installed. The pavers had multiple crooked cuts and uneven seams. At first the owner was willing to come out and correct - but by 3rd attempt to complete he never returned and stated I was too picky. Also this spring when I assumed my new sod would look great and need little maintenance for a while I noticed many many wide seams ans gaps in the sod and some sod not doing well. This was after I spent over $600 dollars on watering( using irrigation system) in the fall after installed .When first installed the owner said once it's installed you own it- no correcting . I would never recommend this company to anyone who is expecting quality work. Owner just walked away before I could finalize job.

Did not use, but later regret ed it. Used a lower cost contractor who didn't work out

A large crew arrived early Saturday morning. They jumped right in cutting back trees and brush on our lot. We have a small lot, but it hadn't had a good sprucing up in many years. While one crew was working on cutting back trees and bushes, another worker began work on the loose and broken pavers on the stoop going into our main entrance. This required cutting pavers to fit existing spaces. They were unable to exactly match the existing almost 10 year old pavers, but the end result was good. They finished up the day by mulching our flower beds. When they left-mid afternoon-all the leaves and other debris were cleaned up and removed. Wences has a high energy crew that hits the ground running and doesn't let up until the job is finished.

They do a good work. They need specific instructions about what needs to be done.

The owner said the deal no longer applied, which was not the characteristic of the deal. We asked for a refund. I think that it was unprofessional behavior, regardless of the professional communication.

Work was performed to contract and appears well done. Crew was prompt and cleaned up each day. When I had issues with how anything was being done they were resolved promptly The problem was their office staff. It was difficult to get the estimates and they double booked the boss for the site visit.

The whole team was fast, professional ,polite .

He arrived on time for the initial appointment. He never produced a design for me, only a quote. He asked for extra costs and would not apply my $150.00 credit as the deal stated. He questioned my choices on the mulch. He wanted to add a tree in the initial quote , when I asked to remove the tree to lower the price he questioned me, became upset and hung up. They cut a wire at my property, but couldn't tell me what the wire was for. I asked for a receipt stating they were responsible for the wire cut that day, but they refused after being asked three times. He was rude and made his workers wait on my porch while we waited for the receipt to be emailed.

I found Mr. Garcia to be extremely helpful and his crew to be attentive and hardworking. Mr. Garcia addressed all of my concerns and contacted me when weather prevented the installation on the date originally promised. I plan on using the Company again in the fall.

On 11 APR I purchased a coupon for 8 hours of service at $299.00. If I needed more time, I could purchase it at $35.00 per hour with the coupon. The following ensued almost immediately after I purchased the coupon: 1. Garcia Patio & Landscaping responded through Angie's List mail almost immediately with a suggested time. 2. I replied with an Angie's List message asking if the time they proposed would allow for the full 8 hours, or if the 8 hours was cumulative over time. 3. They responded that the first appointment was to give an estimate, and that the estimate was free. 4. I set up an appointment for the following week. An hour before my appointment time (16 APR at 11:00), I got a call from a man at Garcia's telling me they were running a little behind, and asking what I wanted to have done. I explained again and was told that they weren't honoring the $299.00 coupon. He told me that it wasn't worth the cost of him going out to my location (PG county, listed as an area served in the coupon rules). I told the caller that I had an agreement with Garcia's and e-mail traffic on Angies list to show that they understood I had purchased the coupon when I set up the appointment. They said that Angie's List made a mistake. I told him that this was between him and Angie's list. Since they refused to honor the agreement we had made and I had already paid for, I canceled the appointment. So, their initial contact was very responsive, but the end product, when the caller told me that they wouldn't honor their agreement, shows a serious lack of professionalism. Their office made the appointment with the information that I was working with an Angie's List deal. A quality business with would either admit they made an error and honor the coupon, or, if it was Angie's List that made the mistake, honor the coupon and deal with Angie's List for the loss. Despite the glowing reviews here, even if they called back now to honor the coupon, I wouldn't trust them to work on my property.

This was my experience. I purchased an Angie's Big List deal for $299, and arranged service for 4/10. I called to see if the company could provide the mulch we needed at which time I got the owner, Wences on the phone. Immediately he started complaining about the Angie's List deal and told me that I wasn't scheduled for service on the 10th, which was contrary to what I was told when I called early in the week to schedule the service through the receptionist, who was very professional and nice. After explaining to Wences that I purchased the deal because they could provide the service on the date I needed because we had live plants that needed to get in the ground. After much complaining, he agreed to have a crew come out on 4/11 between 2-3. He also took that opportunity to add another $50.00 to the job even though he had no idea how long it would take to complete same and I reminded him that the Angie's List deal that I had already paid for provided for 8 man hours. Rather than putting myself through more whining, I just agreed to pay the extra $50 and hoped that the crew would show up. I raced home and rearranged my schedule at work to get there by 2. By 3:00, no one shows, I call Wenses. He answers the "yeah" ... and I ask where the crew is. He says, oh they're busy, I can't rush them, they'll be there around 3:30. I mentioned that a courtesy call would have been nice. At that point he said they work until it's dark and that he bent over backwards to accommodate my schedule - as if he was doing me a favor by having his company perform the work I had already paid for through the Angie's ist Big Deal. He also used the opportunity to again complain bitterly about the Angie's List deal and that he "cancelled" it, as if paying $35.00 an hour for manual labor was somehow way too low for his company. I asked him why he did the advertising in the first place ... again more complaining and a total lack of professionalism. His behavior was mind-boggling and incredibly rude and unprofessional. The positive, the crew that did the work was extremely professional and did a great job. They apologized for being late. When it was over, I tried to pay the agreed upon price to the crew chief. He said he needed to call Wenses, the owner, and the crew chief than handed me the phone because Wneses wanted to talk to me again, and even though they were on the job for just about 2.5 hours, he was trying to gouge more money out of me. I reminded him what the Angie's list deal was, and he didn't want to honor it. I told him, that it's a pity that he was so rude, inept and unprofessional because his crew did great work, but life is too short and I would never do business with him again. I want to be clear that the crew did great work, but for me, it would never use this company again, unless it was sold to someone who understands customer service and honorable business practices.

Waiting on my charge card bill to come in to see if they got the $49.00 If so I will dispute this bill. For I never got any service.

The provider never showed up. I even gave my cell number for him to call me. Never heard from him one way or other.

They do a very good job. They offer a discount to Angie's List members. I had to call one time to remind them to remove leaves from exterior stairwell, which they did the next time. No complaints, and they are reasonably priced. Would recommend them to others.

It felt like a 4 person attack team came and took my lawn by storm. They were fast and efficient and I liked that they clean up all cutting and leaves. Nice guys and office staff responsive.

Overall it went well. Garcia came when scheduled and completed the project on-time. The crew leader spoke decent English (Mr. Garcia's English is good.) but the rest of the crew did not. Mr. Garcia met us at the stone wholesalers so that we could pick out pallets of stone. He also made suggestions for the project. I would recommend that if you have photos of the type of wall, patio, etc., it would be most helpful. The crew could follow directions well enough, but on their own appeared not to have a great aesthetic sense. For our project, it was not an issue, but I would guess if you are looking for a well designed landscape architect type project, get it designed first.

They built the deck without a permit and refused to fix it and go thru county. I paid him a total of 30,000 for new work and a total of ober 4000 for cleanup. As a result, I have had to pay 15,000 to satisfy county requirements and get work corrected. Garcia's bushes died and they were not replaced under warranty. Garcia said he used a subcontractor for the deck (w/o my permission) and he was not responsible for the problems. The subcontractor did not want to deal with any county authorities?? I now have a lopsided deck and dead landscaping which the county said I had to replace. This has been a nightmare for me, a widow on a fixed inome. Now I checked the county records and he has been cited twice for building w/o a permit so the county looks out for his jobs. I tried to work something out but he refused.

The workers are pleasant and energenic. One interesting story: I came home right after the crew arrived. A large snapping turtle was digging a hole in my yard to lay eggs. The men had their cell phones out to take photos and were really excited aboout the turtle. These guys aer real!

Garcia landscape designed the installation and installed the materials we provided. They gave us an approximate start date and actually started on time, which I found very nice in this day and age. Their workers were very professional and conscientious in performing the work and executing the design. They kept us informed every step of the way and explained to us why they did certain things during the construction when we had questions. After each days end they put things away and cleaned up the construction area. Once the job was completed they did a walk through with us to make sure they had accomplished the job to our satisfaction. They did an excellent job. Our neighbors stop and comment on how impressive and beautiful the wall is.

I met with Garcia and outlined the project desired and provided a sketch of the desire patio that was in a wooded section of my backyard. After some negotiation, Garcia is an able negotiator -- be ready to haggle. We discussed all the possibilities and I specified that I wanted to minimize the use of heavy machinery in order to limit the impact on trees in the vicinity. I also wanted it to flow with the terrain. I was able to work with Wenches Garcia and his crew. We made several adjustments as the project proceeded. They did the entire project by hand in 4 days with amazing results. We were delighted with the result and now 3 years later the patio is in perfect shape. A job well done.

I am pleased with the service and have no complaints.

He is great to work with. He often has the neighbors over to see what is going on. He finished the work while I was gone on vacation. I met with him to make sure we were still on the same page.
