Kirkwood Pest Control

There were 2 bat skeletons and one bat dead but fully intact in the fireplace...he told us that they were mice skeletons;when inspecting he barely glanced in areas throughout the house and although he said he did one of the areas(he didn't)he missed another bat hanging in the rafters;a giant nest of some sort of bee and obvious squirrel nest/infestation. All of this was in a space attached to the bedroom indoors. The home inspector and my husband had to point them out to him. He was 20 minutes late..he was rude...he got annoyed if you asked any questions..he worried more about the realtor than the people that are actually paying him..I guess that's how he gets realtor referral's...he was supposed to send an e-mail with the pest and well yield results that night but we didn't receive untill 6-10 even after I requested a second time. He only wanted to send 1 e-mail and waited till he got the water test back. Funny the check cleared not even 2 days later. When we finally got the written test he e-mailed it to the realtor as well and on the spaces where you mark off any problems with inspection he wrote several areas where he couldn't get to because of the areas being blocked. Not true he would walk in bang on something or poke something maybe once if all and walk out. He put all of this misinformation in the report to cover his on butt. Most of the areas he said were blocked weren't! The house had carpenter ants and he said he could treat them that they were probably just falling from the trees around the property. He sprayed a little bit of an area with something and said it should help. Not true!! But he would come back and charge more to make sure we didn't have any additional ants. If you ask any questions or say anything he is rude and says something snide back. Buying a home is a big decision and he is there to help the person that hired him..not try to shut you down and make the infested/damaged house seem okay so he can get another recommendation from the realtor. He is not reliable and we could have inspected the house ourselves and gotten better results. Worst $625 we've ever spent. Thank goodness the home inspector and my husband were reliable. We were lucky to have a lot of good reliable people (ie the home inspector and surveyor)help us out but this guy was a big waste of money!! I wouldn't hire him again to do anything and would be better off taking our chances on our own then paying him to give misinformation!

We've used Kirkwood Pest Control before and have a contract with them. Very professional and polite. I think they use some of the older (but still effective) pest control methods, but are very thorough and efficient. Service our house, basement and check our guest cabin for carpenter bees. Always arrive when they say they will! I like that they are Vietnam Vet owned and operated!

The stink bugs were invading my house and they got rid of them. They stopped them from coming back into my house. They were very professional and were right on time.
