My initial call was returned promptly, plumber showed up on time, explained every aspect of the job beforehand and quoted us a price, and completed the work much to our satisfaction. Price was very reasonable, and we received the Angie's List discount.

We went with another company, who could make the repair sooner, but I would contact them for other work. Estimated cost was $2,900.

 + -1 moreWe were kept abreast of the time they would arrive and then were confirmed when they were on their way. They arrived with pleasant demeanor and were professional. They talked to my husband as the work was performed and explained what they were doing. It took a while to get the sinks unclogged and they gave tips for how to best use the (existing) disposal in the future. John recommended a new garbage disposal for the future and definitely was NOT giving a hard sell, just let us consider it for future. We decided on it then and there, so he stayed to install the new unit. It ran and was much quieter than the current unit.
Description of Work: Double sink in the kitchen was clogged with remnants from juicing carrots after putting them through the garbage disposal. Maintenance engineers in the building were unable to fix it. Erickson Plumbing was very professional, from the woman at the office who called to tell me they had finished their previous job and were on their way to the men themselves, who arrived. John and another gentleman entered and worked on the unit, which took work. When the snake didn't clear the clogs, the vacuum was able to suction it out. A pipe was replaced, showing corrosion. John recommended a new garbage disposal as we could see the pipe was clogged with items that basically had never been shredded by the old, weaker, slow 1/3 horse power garbage disposal unit. Building engineers also noted the disposal would need replacing.

 + -1 moreThis was the first time that I used this company and I highly recommend them. I got their name from another neighbor that has a historical home like mine as well. The guys that came out to my home were friendly, on time and had a quick turnover time.
Description of Work: Erickson replaced 4 bathroom fixtures, and they re-piped all of the galvanized plumbing with copper pipes in one of my bathrooms. They also rerouted one shower head and replaced a shower valve.

I heard from the assistant to schedule this non-urgent call the next business day, he came right on time as scheduled, and completed the job right then and there. He was very efficient, pleasant, and thorough. Told me the price straight out without hedging. This is by far the best plumbing experience I have ever had.
Description of Work: Repair of a leaking pipe in basement, new extension to the outside and 2 shut off valves. This was not an urgent matter but could not be ignored long term either.

 + -1 moreI called and spoke to Phyllis on Thursday morning. She scheduled Ken to arrive the next morning between 7:00 and 8:00 am. Ken and an assistant arrived on time during that window. Ken gave me an estimate and completed the work in about 15 or 20 minutes. Ken, Phyllis, and the assistant were all courteous, friendly, and professional. I'm definitely calling Erickson plumbing next time, thanks! It is worth noting that Ken and his assistant arrived in a fairly large truck. This led me to believe he had a good stock of parts on hand. They also removed the old toilet for an additional (reasonable) $35 fee.
Description of Work: Installed a new toilet bowl and tank in the bathroom. These items were purchased by me at a home improvement store before I called to make an appointment.

 + -1 moreThe plumber worked quickly, and unobtrusively, and then called me into the bathroom to show me what had been replaced, and flushed the unit several times so I could see that the leak had been eliminated and the toilet flushed better than before. The unit was an original water saving flush toilet, and he showed me that the technology had improved since then, and I now had a unit that worked better and had a stronger flush. He also noted that his price had not included a senior discount, so he reduced it to 115.20. Later that afternoon, Mrs. Erickson called to note that I also qualified for a $25.00 discount for using Angie's list. So the price dropped to $90.20. I am very pleased.
Description of Work: We used Erickson earlier in the month. The job was done expertly and to our satisfaction. Last week a second toilet began leaking, and I was unable to adjust it to stop the leak. I called Erickson again. When the plumber (Ken) arrived, with an assistant, he gave me an estimate of $128.00 to rebuild the inner workings that were worn and leaking. I agreed.

 + 0 moreUnlike just about all other plumbers we have dealt with in the past, Mr. Erickson is intelligent, motivated and competent in his trade. He responded promptly to our inquiry with a detailed and accurate written fixed-price proposal. For our sump pump installation, we wanted a special water-driven backup pump to supplement the electric pump. Ken knew exactly what we were talking about and it was supplied and installed correctly. Same for the water filter and the hydronic pressure valve installations. He seems to be cognizant of current products and trends in his trade, whereas most plumbers neither know nor care. Mr. Erickson's workmanship and attention to detail on this job were exemplary.
Description of Work: Install new sump pump system, excavate and install. Install new water sediment filter. Replace pressure valve in hydronic heating system.

Their office called back within a few minutes and said he was just a few miles from my home and could be there soon. So I told them yes. The work was done in a little over an hour and he gave me advice on our water pressure and adjusted that while here too.
Description of Work: Erickson plumbing replaced the entire insides of our upstairs toilet.

The actual installation went quickly. He had to crawl under the house to turn off the water at no additional charge. He offered suggestions about use of the heater and purchase of a new one when necessary. He was helpful, efficient and did a clean, effective job. I will definitely use him again for my plumbing needs.

 + -1 moreThe appointment was made for the next day. The plumber arrived exactly when promised, explained the work that needed to be done. He gave us a choice of spending close to $300.00 to rebuild the old unit, or get an exact replacement for $460. We chose to go with the hymount which was $100.00 more, but received a $56.00 discount of 10%. He left briefly to get the toilet from the warehouse, came back quickly and completed the job. He was very helpful, courteous and did an excellent job.
Description of Work: Replaced master bath toilet with a crane 19" Hymount Unit. Hauled away the old. He also thoroughly cleaned the floor after the removal of the old unit. We received a 10% discount as senior citizens.
