I contracted with them on 12 April 2010 with an expected completion date 5 weeks later, approximately 31 May 2010. I never received the requested construction schedule. I never received clear dates telling me when to purchase which materials. On 7 July 2010, the county came and put a stop work order out because, although Rick Heiston signed a document stating that he would get required permits, he did not. The week of 11 Oct 2010, they came by, picked up tools they had left laying around my house and yard and left. I had no indication they would not complete the work. I am worse off now than I was before they began as they gutted one bathroom completely, leaving me and my 3 children to share one bathroom - much worse off than we were before work began. My oldest child was coming home from the Air Force Academy to spend her last Thanksgiving with us before serving on active duty and my house is no shape to receive her or to entertain. Although Rick Heiston claimed to run a Christian business, he has had no problem taking all of the money I paid and running. I would advise anyone planing to do business with Rick Heiston personally or Morgan Ashleigh Custom Builders to change their plans and find a reputable contractor with which to work.
