Skilled Maids

It worked out just fine. They seem to have done a fine job. I was happy with it. It was during the day and I was at work and my wife saw everything. But it turned out fine. It was a little expensive but they were there for a while. They were there longer than I thought initially they will be there.

They were good. They come every month. They did not charge extra.

It went well. They stayed in the price. They seemed pretty good at what they did and they were friendly.

I live in DC and rent out my basement apartment to 2 tenants. My tenants are young and do not have time or the interest in keeping the place clean. So I offered to pay for a deep cleaning in order to protect my investment. I saw the deal on Angie's List and scheduled the cleaning. I was initially concerned because there was a scheduling snafu. But they quickly accommodated my scheduling request and came later in the day. Three staff showed up on time and seriously cleaned the basement apartment. It looked amazing! And with the extra time they had available, they vacuumed by living room couch, living room and radiators. They were very friendly and worked hard the entire time. My tenants were ecstatic when they came home. One tenant said, "I can't believe they cleaned inside the medicine cabinet". I will definitely hire Skilled Maids again.

From what I heard, everything went fine.

First, I was told they would try to come in the morning (which I preferred). Then I got an email saying they would arrive by 1:30 or 2:00 p.m. but to give them 30 minutes leeway. They arrived around 2:35. I was told I would get up to 9 man hours of deep cleaning for the price. Only two women showed up and neither spoke English well enough for me to be able to communicate clearly with them. They did not understand when I told them I had paid for up to 9 man hours. They didn't do a bad job but were there for only 3 hours, so 6 man hours total. I think they could have done more for the amount I paid. With the exception of the refrigerator being cleaned and the stove wiped (neither was very dirty), it was just a regular cleaning. In addition, I never heard back from the company via e-mail nor phone. They did not check to make sure I was happy with the service. They did not even reach out to see if I wanted them to return. I had originally told them that I may want monthly or bi-weekly cleaning depending on how happy I was with the work. I never got to tell them whether or not I was happy. I find this very unprofessional. I would not use them again because I think they were not professional enough and would suggest that the $250.00 "deal" is not a good deal at all.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It was great and I hired them permanently. It was good. They were available when I needed them to be and they came the very next week after I purchased the deal. The job they do is very thorough, very clean and very professional.

Skilled Maids provided a deep cleaning of my house. I was so pleased when I returned home from a very long day. This cleaning included window ledges, ceiling fans, cleaning the inside of my fridge, etc. and they even vacuumed the dog beds. Everything looked great and I've found in the past that companies I hire don't usually clean my shower stalls or hardwood floor very well. Skilled Maids know what they are doing.

The house was sparkling when I got home!

When I called to schedule the cleaning they were very accommodating to my schedule. Skilled Maids did an excellent job on the move out cleaning. They were there for about 2.5 hours and did a great job. When they were almost done they asked me to walk around to see if I had any issues. I found one issue and they lady saw where I was looking and took care of it right away. I would use them again.

The women arrived on time and got right to work. The cleaned the walls, baseboards, bathrooms, stove, fridge, oven, sinks, shelvers, etc and vacuumed the floors. The apartment looked great when they were done. On the exit inspection two days later, the apartment manager said he had never seen an apartment so clean. He said he would move in as is. So great job.

It went so well that we decided to keep using them 1-2x per months. We pay $110 + tip and they clean 1400 sq. ft.

The cleaning service was scheduled to start 8/18 at 8 am, and I prepaid $250 for 9 man-hours of deep cleaning for an empty 3-story 2100 sq ft townhouse. This was an Angie's List Special Deal, normally valued at $500. The appointment was booked a month in advance, but a few days before service I got an email changing the date to the 19th. Since I had scheduled carpet cleaning for 19th, and new tenants to take possession 20th, I had to tell them that didn't work for me. Maids showed up on 18th 30 minutes late. There were 2, so that put quitting time at 1:00 pm, but they tried to leave at 12:30. After much discussion, they called their supervisor, who told them to stay, but there was a clear slow-down, plus the 10-15 minutes of them trying to leave / calling home office, etc. During this time, they also refused to do a walk-through with me to hit spots they had overlooked. While they did clean quite a bit, I basically had to go back over the house myself to get it ready for new tenants. (Didn't get dust off HVAC intakes, only cleaned walls up to their 5' height, kitchen floor still dirty in spots / still had sweeping to do, etc.) I would not recommend them, at least not the $250 deep cleaning deal.

I highly recommend this company as I have used them several times over the past two years. Recently, I asked for two cleanings, a Move-in clean at our new home and a Move-out clean at the unit we were renting. The Move-In clean was not done to their usual fantastic clean. I sent an email to the company explaining my disappointment and within 5 minutes of clicking send, the owner of the company called me. She was very sorry that I was not happy and was able to work things out so that we were once again happy with their services. You could tell that she truly cared about the quality of work that was done for us. Their pricing is very comparable to other companies and often have deals on Angies List. We are very happy with this company and have no reservations giving them such a perfect rating.

Everything went well and as expected.

We had fallen behind on the cleaning (somehow having three small children doesn't help). Skilled Maids came through and made the place look like someone who knows how to keep house lived there. If we hadn't moved out of state, we'd absolutely hire them again.

Cleaning was done quicker than expected

They did a great job. Three people came out, did fridge, oven, stove, all baseboards, blinds, changed sheets, towels, these things on top of regular cleaning. They were efficient, professional and we have now hired them to come in every row weeks.

I contacted Connie in the morning, the day of the cleaning because another cleaner had backed out on the job. Connie was able to re-arrange her employee schedule and had the house cleaned that afternoon. The price was very reasonable and the work was absolutely wonderful. They did a great job and focused a lot of effort on the fridge and stove. I could not be happier with the work and would recommend them to anyone who needs hard working responsible cleaning services.

Purchased the $250 (9 man hours) full house deep clean coupon from Skilled Maids off of Angie's List. Got the cleaning after completing a renovation and before a big party at our house. This was my first experience hiring a cleaning service and I was very pleased with the experience. They arrived on time. Two people came, brought their supplies, and got right to work. They didn't need any direction from me. They worked for the full 4 1/2 hours, and got through the entire 2200 sq ft. house. The stove and oven are the cleanest they've been since I bought them! At one point they thought they had broken a lamp and gave me money for it. When I told my husband he said that the lamp (from his man cave) already had been broken. Of course we gave the money back, but I really appreciated their honesty. I probably wouldn't get a regular cleaning service, but I'm thinking we might start getting a semi-annual deep cleaning. It was really great to have the whole house cleaned in half a day. Definitely happy with the Skilled Maids cleaning service and would recommend.

The cleaning went very well! My wife and I are pleased with the results. The crew was very professional and effective. I definitely plan to use the company again, as everything went great! I really appreciated the follow up and maintaining excellent communication from the very beginning.
