In addition to above, helper was spending an inordinate amt of time in larger bedrm and it's bathroom- I was told that it needed so much cleaning it was very time consuming- this was not the reason, the real reason was that helper locked/jammed in the drain closure which she was trying to correct -it was properly working for many years)-which required a plumber to disassemble and repair. Also, for reasons unknown, our coffee maker would not work after the "cleaning" ( it had that morning before the cleaning) necessitating having to purchase a new one that afternoon. In sum, whatever money that may have been saved was more than eaten up by miscues caused by servicers.

The team of three arrived on time. The rental property was particularly dirty with a lot of dog hair everywhere. They provided a very thorough cleaning in three hours. The place was Move In clean when they were done. We used their Move-Out clean Angie's List Coupon which was an incredible value!

The two cleaners did a good job. Got into corners and moldings.

They did an excellent job. I was amazed at how wonderful the place looked after they left. I am now planning to set up a regular cleaning schedule.

We were extremely satisfied with their cleaning job all three times. My old house was older and they managed to get the bathrooms and kitchen cleaner than we had seen them in recent years! The crew was extremely friendly and easy to work with. A different crew came to our new home (a different area) and they also did a great job, although I prefer the original crew. The new crew was very friendly and easy going as well, but they just didn't do as expert a job with the bedroom linens or the bathroom towels as the other crew did. The scheduler, Connie, is very responsive and helpful. They were flexible with dates and times and I am excited to have worked out a monthly schedule for them to come regularly now. Worth every penny!

It went fantastically - they were great wth my dogs attacking their vacuum cleaner. I am so pleased with them. And the office is extremely responsive to needing changes in dates/times. I have asked them if they provided some services I did not see on their webpage - but they are going to do those also this week coming. Im not sure what their operating area is - but if you are in it, i do highly recommend Skilled Maids.

We hired Skilled Maids for move-in cleaning at our new home. They did such a nice job that now we have hired them for regular cleaning. Very punctual and responsible team.

So Impressed in every way. The best cleaning our home has had maybe since it was built ... in 1941. Every detail was covered. Very friednly staff. Highly recommend.

Thorough and efficient monthly cleaning. Two providers arrived as scheduled and provided quick yet thorough monthly house cleaning. Very responsive and asked if there was anything else that needed attention when they were finished. Asked to provide garbage bags and paper towels which is fine. Were careful not to let out animals. I have used several other services in this area and found them to be the most consistent thus far. Would highly recommend.

The team arrived on-time and prepared. The scheduling office was extremely responsive when I mentioned that I'm prone to migraines and can't really cope with strong cleanser odors -- I really appreciated that. I was stunned by how beautiful the house was when I got home from work; it was like heaven. I've scheduled them to come back regularly and to be part of the team of helpers I need to keep my family running smoothly. I absolutely would recommend Skilled Maids to anyone, and couldn't be happier with the service I received.

I had called Maintenance Lawn Service for lawn care (you can see my review for them on Angie's List as well) and they let me know that they also own a cleaning service, which was great. I needed both, so happily took the referral. I spoke to Connie, who told me the first visit would be $250 for a "deep clean" (ostensibly to get the house in good shape for regular cleanings). Right as I was hanging up, Connie slipped in "we will be happy to honor the Angie's list promotion." Ok...I said, what's that? It's 9 man hours of cleaning, and includes 10 windows. Any more windows are $5 a window. I have 20 windows, so now the price was going to be $300. But I had come this far and had the date set, so I agreed. You can see my full review of Maintenance Lawn Service, but they came 2 days prior to the scheduled date of cleaning and it was a complete shake-down. They quoted me $250, got to the house, acted surprised that the job was "so big" and gave me a new quote of $1,000! So I was nervous come the day of service, but really wanted the deep clean so kept the scheduled date. On the day of service the three girls showed up right on time. Since it was three girls, the job would take 3 hours, since it was 9 man hours. I showed them around the house and pointed out one area that I wanted to make sure they saw (the baseboards near my toddler's high chair had some splatters on them). The house was in unusually good shape. It was completely renovated 3 years ago, so it is basically like living in a new construction home - no built in grime or anything. I clean it regularly but don't have time to do regular dusting or window cleaning. We have a dog, so the house needed a good dusting/vacuuming. I had spent hours getting the house ready. All of my son's toys were out on the deck . It almost looked like we were moving because there was NOTHING left on the floor. I wanted to make sure I did as much as I could so they ONLY had to clean. I took my son out while they were cleaning so as to not be in their way, which in retrospect was a mistake. Two and a half hours into the three hour job I receive an e-mail from Connie saying that the girls need another hour, which will be $96 dollars. I asked why, and she said it was because my house was so dusty. First of all, my house was unusually clean for a house that was receiving a "deep clean," but also, isn't that what a "deep clean" is FOR? It was "too dusty"?? She said they can either stop right now or I pay the extra $96. A complete shakedown. I went home and saw that they hadn't even gone upstairs yet. Our house is NOT that big (also they had the exact square footage ahead of time). It should NOT have taken 3 girls 3 hours to clean the downstairs. They are clearly told to work slower so they can tack on extra money. What was I going to do? I didn't want the house half cleaned. Obviously, they bank on this. Once they are in, people will pay extra to get the job finished. I was astounded that they were doing the EXACT SAME THING as two days prior with the lawn care. It became almost embarrassingly clear to me that this is their business model. They act as if they are giving you a quote for the job, but later once they are in, tell you that they charge hourly and they can either stop mid-way through or you can pay extra. Since this was my second experience and it "clicked" for me that this was a scam company, I pushed back very h****** the extra $96. I must have asked politely 8 times if she could please honor the $250 quote. Absolutely not. She held on to that $96 dollars with no apologies, and started getting short and rude with me, telling me obviously I don't know how this works. She told me that the girls told her that the house was "very grimy," which was not only insulting, but just silly. I lived in a 100-year-old apartment in DC before moving out here. I know what she meant - that built in grime from years of people living somewhere. This is a BRAND NEW house. We have a family. I clean regularly. It needed a deep clean because I have no time to dust the tops of the doors and vacuum the baseboards. It is not at all grimy. The girls did a nice job, but even with the extra hour didn't finish. They miraculously did the upstairs in an hour (since I was then home overseeing) after spending 3 hours on the downstairs. They left the ONE area I had pointed out to them (the baseboard by the high chair) untouched, and didn't even clean our kitchen sink or the front of the fridge. The rest of the house looks very nice, but since I really wanted a 100% clean, I spent 45 minutes scrubbing the baseboards, cleaning the outside of the fridge and the kitchen sink after they left. On principle that was frustrating after spending $400 on a deep clean. After the Maintenance Lawn Service experience I was frustrated, but decided not to write a review because I never like to mess with anyone's livelihood. Also I still wasn't sure if the mix-up was somehow partially my fault. But after they pulled the EXACT SAME THING two days later with the cleaning service, I felt that I had to write reviews to make sure people know not to use this company. Their business model is to get in and then once they have you on the hook, raise the price or threaten to leave mid-job. It is dishonest and intentional.

This service is really fantastic. I was a bit upset that they were not up front about the fact that they wait to contact you until about a week before your service to let you know when it has been scheduled. I purchased the service through an Angie's List Big Deal a few weeks ahead of when I actually wanted it and gave three acceptable dates and times and heard nothing. But when I called, they called back within a couple hours and explained the policy, and once they knew I would like to know sooner rather than later, they scheduled it right away and told me as soon as they had an arrival time for the maids. So while annoyed, it really was a simple miscommunication and certainly not their fault. It's just good to know in advance for anyone else purchasing a package like this with them. Their ladies were a few minutes later than the window that I was given, but I do live in a high traffic area and requested a morning cleaning, so I can understand how that might happen. Moving on to the cleaning--WOW. I mean just...wow. I've purchased housekeeping services before that did a great job but these ladies are FANTASTIC. I keep a pretty clean house, so I just purchase packages like this for a bi-annual deep cleaning and don't expect miracles. But they made my appliances and furniture look like new!! I had even cleaned my sheets that day and had no intention of asking them to make the beds, but when I went upstairs after the service they had found the clean sheets and put them on the bed! And unlike other services I have hired in the past, they did a reasonably good job of putting everything back where they found it when they dusted furniture and wiped out the refrigerator. I just cannot say enough good things about these ladies and I will definitely be hiring them again. One final comment in response to those comments I saw ahead of time that said they spoke no English, which made it difficult--be patient with them. The ladies I had were clearly speaking English as a second language, but they worked hard and made sure they understood me and I them. I just don't think anyone can ask for more than that! Thank you Skilled Maids, you did a truly amazing job!!!

They did a nice job cleaning the house.

Did a great job for the price. My only complaint is, I wish they had put a little more elbow grease into cleaning the cabinets. Overall they did a really great job. The place was really dirty from previous tenants.

They were though and quick.

The two person team arrived at the time stated in the email. Unfortunately, I did not have an opportunity to read the email which was sent the previous day. The email contained important information about preparing the house and the arrival time of the cleaning team. The house was thoroughly cleaning from top to bottom. Little things like the hand held mirrors in the bathrooms were cleaned. I would recommend this Skilled Maids service, and I plan to schedule a maintenance cleaning in the near future.

We are the midst of selling our house. The house has just been repainted and new carpeting installed, but it still needed to be CLEANED. They came in an made the house LIKE NEW. So NEW that the house went on the market 2 days later and we had a contract immediately. We will be using them to do a semi-annual cleaning of our new home.

The service went well but the quality of the cleaning was just average.

It turned out perfectly; they are still with us. They come out every two weeks. What stands out the most is the consistency of their service.

I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal for this service and they did great. I thought they were very thorough; I can't complain at all. They were very good. I would say that if you need a deep clean it is worth the money, but just for a weekly cleaning it is too expensive. Their responsiveness was very good.

A wonderful deep cleaning! I was very satisfied with how our house looked and would use this provider again. Plus, I hate cleaning the refrigerator and oven, so the help was greatly appreciated. $250 does seem a little steep for the service.

People were happy with them. I venture to say I would use them again. My mom was happy with them and so were the tenants. They did great so I already gave them a big thumbs up. My mom said that they really cleaned certain parts of the kitchen super-well so she was happy with them. I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal for this service. I saw the master shower and I did not think it was cleaned very well because I could still see water spots. They were sending email communications asking questions to both my mom and me, even though I was out of town, right away. They were very thorough and I was impressed.

My experience with them was good. They were on time. They were extremely communicative. They brought everything. They were really great.
