Skilled Maids

The correspondence with Skilled Maids to set up exactly what was needed and for when it could be scheduled was fantastic. Very responsive and they quoted us realistically and financially possible! I did send photographs to allow a realistic time frame for cleaning. The ladies who came to clean were amazing. Very professional, quick, and friendly.

The cleaning crew was excellent. The arrived on time and did a wonderful job from beginning to end. Even small stains on the walls and floors will taken care of. They went above and beyond the scope of the original job. I will definitely hire them again.

Excellent. This was very short notice and Skilled Maids responded immediately. Doris and Maria make a great team -- skllled, focused, good communicators and upbeat all day long. There was more to do in a day than could possibly get done, but they quickly established priorities and accomplished much more than those. The house is clean and sparkling.

I initially used Skilled Maids for a cleaning before family came to visit. They were super responsive, and could fit me in at the last minute. They did a good job, so I decided to schedule a monthly cleaning. I think the price is reasonable (I compared them to a couple other services and they were cheaper). They do a great job. Only once did I need to give feedback in the last year I've been using them. I would highly recommend them!

This is the second year I've used Skilled Maids to clean my mom's home at Christmas (we use the Angie's List Deal). Her house is quite large, was built in 1955 (so it's old and difficult to clean), and she's lived there for 58 years (so it's full of clutter). My mom is 90 years old, and so doesn't clean; although my sister tries to keep up with it. All this to say, the crew always does a fantastic job with a difficult house. Also, this year the plumber was there at the same time and they worked around him with no problems. They are very thorough, they work until it's done, they go over a task again if I ask, they take pride in their work, and whatever cleaning agents they use the house smells wonderfully fresh (I really love the way it smells afterward!) If I had the money, I'd hire them to do a monthly cleaning at my mom's, and at my house too!

I've used the service approximately 4 times now. I was extremely pleased with the thoroughness of the cleaning. The ladies are very pleasant; the scheduler was flexible and worked with my schedule.

Did a descent job cleaning, they're in and there out as efficiently as possible. If you pay for 3 hours and it only takes 2 hours then they're out in 2. Not unreasonable but, just something to be aware of.

They are great, and have been for over a year

We have been using them for about 2 years. They have always done a very good job, but Kenia and Marisol have been excellent during a difficult time. We are having construction done on the kitchen, so every time they come they face new obstacles, but they have continued to do an excellent job. It generally takes them two hours to clean our house and they are always prompt.

Two women arrived on time and immediately began work. Supervisor arrived half way to see if I was satisfied, which I was and she also assisted in the work.

The Skilled Maids crew arrived on time. We discussed what needed to be done. I had them do their whole house cleaning with emphasis on the kitchen and the bathroom. I also had the additional efforts of cleaning the refrigerator and cleaning/dusting the inside of the kitchen cabinets (they don't do that unless specified/ordered). The cleaning crew that did the job had cleaned my house before. They were quick, efficient, and did their usual great job.

Great! I would hire again for such needs!

The ladies arrived a little late but made up for it in effort. They did a fantastic job; I would definitely recommend them and I intend to hire them again!

Very well. The ladies came in and went right to work. took them about 4 hours and everything was sparkling when they left. now that upstairs is pretty much done, will have them back. We plan to do this on a regular basis going forward.

I contacted this company for cleaning services for my home to get ready for an event I was having due to the fact that my normal housecleaner had gotten sick recently and wasn't able to clean my home for a few weeks. Since they advertised free estimates, I specifically asked for someone to come out to my home to assess and provide me with an estimate to clean the home. I was informed that there was no need for anyone to come out as she had looked my home up on the internet to review its specs/square footage and was giving me a price based on that. I expressed my concern with that option to the person I was speaking to (now I know her name was Virginia) as that is not what I asked for. However, I allowed her to strong arm me on their capabilities without having to see the home. (my first mistake) She originally gave me some outrageous amount as an estimate for cleaning my house of which I had no idea what she was basing it on considering I am a person who has had housecleaners for over 10 years now. Once I asked for an explanation she then changed it to she could have a 2 person crew clean my house for 3 hours. Again, I explained that I normally do not do hours as no one could come and assess the home and I wasn't really comfortable with that but again allowed the lady to convince me otherwise and just went ahead and scheduled for the cleaning, since my normal housecleaner was always in and out of home and it was highly cleaned within 3 to 4 hours.(second mistake) On the scheduled day of cleaning, 2 ladies showed up to my home (who did not speak English) and was walked through the house and advised of what to cover in their cleaning. They proceeded to the top floor of my house that consisted of 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms only. After almost 2 and half hours, they were still on the top floor, when I started to question why they were still on the top floor and hadn't made it to the main floor or basement. They then informed me that they would need another hour on the top floor (why? it was only the bedrooms) and then another 3 hours on the main floor and that they wouldn't make it to the basement at all. I immediately started trying to ask questions as to why that was and they didn't speak English and basically said they would have to call the office and I could speak to Virginia. I agreed and then after they spoke to her for a few minutes, I was given the phone. She immediately tried to argue with me about the discussion that me and her had on the phone as it related to my house and the time it took for cleaning. I stressed again to her our conversation and my un-comfortableness with the fact that I had asked for someone to come out to look at my house before sending a crew out to clean it and she had declined and convinced me that the 3 hours was sufficient to clean my house with a 2-person crew based on my square footage. She then said they would clean my basement for free and give me an additional 30 minutes to cover their time on the phone (where they had stopped working to discuss the issue with her) if I just purchased another hour to clean the house. That was lie number 3. They never even made it to my basement at all, and only made it to my kitchen and family room, but missed every other room on my main floor. No living room/dining room, office, sun room or bathroom was even touched on my main floor before they told me they had to leave because their time was up. The cleaning that they did do was substandard. There was no glass cleaned in any of my bedrooms, (dressers/tv stands, etc.) and the baseboard in the bathrooms looked the same way they did before they got there. There was still hair in some of the bathtubs and grime in some of the bathroom sinks after they so called finished cleaning the small amount of rooms in 4 HOURS!! This was ridiculous and I have never been so disappointed with a housecleaning service in my entire life. For $275, I would expect a whole lot better cleaning service, not to mention, I only pay my regular house cleaning service for all 3 floors less than $200, and it takes them less than 4 hours to clean my entire house to an immaculate standard. I will never use this service again. Totally disappointed.

It went really well! The Kenya, Cecilia, and Amanda showed up promptly at 8AM and were very accommodating about some particular requests I had concerning some of my things. Very thoughtful service, and were extremely efficient and thorough. They even cleaned my laundry room floor for me! It took them the allotted time, and they were very careful to make sure all of my things were taken care of properly. I've had several maid services over the years, and used my Angie's coupon to take advantage of this deep house clean, I was definitely not disappointed. I would hire them again in a second, and am strongly considering using them on a more frequent basis as well. Thanks again ladies!!
